This may be the best McDonald's ever. The service is as fast as it can be given the circumstances. People don't seem to realize (I do because I'm old.....lol) that McDonald's (and especially this one) has greatly increased customer service levels. Back in the day, you placed your order at the counter and were given your burger in a sack. There were no specialty coffees, Holiday pies, maybe not even hotcakes. You had a very limited menu.....basic burger on a bun and a soda. Possibly not even a dining room. Now they bring it out to your car, deliver it to your table, have it ready if you order ahead, and even arrange delivery. "Back in the day" people wanted work, felt fortunate if they landed a job, and certainly did what they could to keep a job. We didn't have benefits like health insurance, 401k's, and educational assistance. Now employers are fortunate if their staff even shows up. The team here puts up with our requests with a smile on their face (whether we deserve it or not). If you are a regular, they know your name and call you by your name. read more

I ordered 2 egg McMuffins. Halfway through the first one I noticed something gross in the eggs. So I threw it out. I opened up the second one pulled out the egg and broke it in half and it looks like it is old and moldy. read more

In all my life, I have never had such a bizarre experience at the drive through of a McDonalds. My wife is a nursing assistant and she works odd hours. On Monday Sept 8th 2025 at 12:50 am, she sent me to go pickup some food. I pulled into the drive thru and told the kid behind the intercom the first item in my order. He mumbled something unintelligible back to me, it wasn't repeating my item but I couldn't tell WHAT he said. I gave him the second item and again he mumbled something back to me. I asked him to repeat himself and he wouldn't. Instead he yelled at me "IS THAT THE WHOLE ORDER!?" I was surprised since I'd never had someone yell at me in a drive thru like that. I said, no actually I needed one more thing. I told him the item and he just started laughing maniacally at me "HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!" I said, is there a problem? There was a long pause of silence. Then he raised his voice which was literally distorting the microphone with how loudly he was shouting now "Look man, DO YOU WANT ANYTHING ELSE OR DON'T YOU?!?" and then started laughing at me again. I got extremely concerned that this kid was going to do something to my food like spit in it or worse. I told him to forget the whole order and drove around to enter the lobby instead. When I walked in, the guy who I'd heard on the intercom was being reprimanded by his manager. She was telling him, you don't EVER speak to a customer that way! He was trying to defend himself but it was clear he was getting in real trouble. The last thing I wanted to do was give them my business. Anyone who treats customers that way shouldn't be reprimanded, he should've been fired. At least the manager did something but the situation made me so uncomfortable that I left without ordering. This McDonald's needs a change of night staff desperately.. If you go past midnight, none of the employees speak English. I tried ordering off the mcvalue menu and after speaking very clearly and concisely what I wanted several times, they still didn't understand me and just told me to pull around. I explained in person what I wanted and when I got the food it wasn't at all what I said. I basically just gave up, left, and ate what I got. 8.25.25 @ 6 am ordered sausage & egg biscuit combo w/ small coffee & a milk. Pay window mexican said "Stay". What? Stay.! What are you saying? STAY BIKET. that's mexican for steak biscuit. NO. I thought it was showing improvements at the Belmont NC McDonalds although today I was picking up order for someone who has negative reaction to tomatoes so NO ketchup. I had them correct the order and upon getting it again, asked three times and was told no ketchup was on reorder. Well they just wiped off the cheese from the cheeseburger and the ketchup so the person could not eat the food. Who does that. If that was a food allergy outcome would have been even worse than someone not being able to eat. Guess next time I won't leave drive thru without checking everything thoroughly. Well I was traveling through today around 4 pm. We stopped to grab a bite and use the restrooms before getting into the interstate to head home 'Wv' . Once we was done eating which the food was actually pretty darn good. Fries was delicious being that they was fresh, so was the meat in my burger. Any who before leaving I went to Ladies room and unfortunately left my phone onto the top of the toilet paper dispenser and I didn't realize I didn't have it until it was too far for us to turn around. I've tried to contact the manager so evening into the night. Not one time have they answered the phone in over 5 hours. Now what's up with that. So I'm leaving a message on here hopefully sum 1 in charge can see this message and do something about the phone. Now I know the line was working due to a woman being on the phone earlier today standing at the end of the counter talking on it plus the credit card machine worked. So no excuse there. This used to be one of the best McDonalds years ago- now it feel like a dysfunctional third world country. Half of the employees can't speak intelligible English and management is incompetent. Things are often broken- machines, dispensers, etc.... the kiosks are just a nightmare! The tables are often dirty. There used to be a little old lady who worked there years who was so friendly and all she did was clean tables. She's been gone a long time. It's just a horrible place now- and McD's has gone crazy on the prices. The place was about empty at lunch time when I was there - it should have been full! Every time I order a sausage gravy biscuit there is not enough gravy so I started ordering and paying for extra. What do they do, put even less gravy and the extra cup is half full so I am paying for extra with what should already come as a normal order. I eat inside and filthy tables water all over floors beverage center a mess. They have no one taking orders so they are saving on labor costs but cannot pay someone to wipe tables. I don't normally eat at McDonalds. I was on my way to an appointment and decided this was a good idea in case my appointment ran long. It was Friday morning at about 8:15. There were two order lines but only 3-4 cars. I ordered and paid. The cashier was looking at the register and talking but since she didn't look at me I just handed her the money, took the change and moved ahead to the next window. I could tell the order was going to be wrong based on my receipt. I mentioned that to the second cashier. She asked what I ordered then handed me my iced coffee. Then everyone seemed to scramble to fix my order. The cashier asked me to pull ahead and she'd bri g me my sandwich. I waited and someone brought it out. I tried to get back on the road so I wouldn't be late for my appointment. I unwrapped the sandwich on Wilkinson. The muffin was very burnt. There was no ketchup just two packages of jelly. I didn't have time to go back. I hate when this happens because that's definitely why I avoid eating there. No one cares if they get your order right or not. And when I went inside, the blonde older lady in charge during the night shift was extremely rude and even put my sandwich on the bare counter and then put it back in my bag because she didn't believe me when I corrected the order??? Came here today and the computers were down. Lady told me that I owed 13.64 after adding it up on calculator, so I paid it. 5 mins later she told me I actually owe her five more dollars. I asked if she was sure because I had ordered the exact same thing last week and I was certain it wasn't that expensive, but she said yes so I tried to shrug it off because it was clear they were having a hard time. When I got home I still felt bugged by it so I checked in the app and it turns out it was only 13.64. I called up to inform them that they might be miscalculating and was met by complete and utter rudeness and employees acting like I was a total idiot. Most fast food places fall in the the meh category for me. They get the job done but sometimes they are slow or the bathroom is rank or the fries are soggy or something. This McDonald's is by far the worst fast food experience I've ever had. They had about 3-5 employees working at around 12 am on a Saturday night. There were about 15 of us in line and it took over an hour to get our food...... An hour for "fast" food. I could have went into an ihop and had two sit down meals during that time frame and filled up gas. The employees did not seem to care and had no sense to work faster. Didn't feel like they spoke English well and an overall sense of indifference towards the customers. I would avoid this McDonald's at all costs, a below mediocre McDonald's with probably terrible management allowing the employees to be so apathetic and worried only about getting their hours in. As a former teenage McDonalds' employee I have eaten a lot of McDonalds burgers. And a lot has changed for the worst unfortunately. For staters why can't I get a hot off the grill juicy burger where the cheese melts completely? The new guys do it (e.g. Cookout) why can't McDonalds? For some reason, this location operates fine during the day, but incredibly slow at night. Like 20-25 minutes just to take your order kind of slow. Maybe it's a smaller staff? This is the very best McDonalds that I have ever been to. It is always kept spotless on the inside, and the outside is always well landscaped. This McDonalds has won the town's "Yard of the month" award on numerous occasions. 12/11 Most unreliable WiFi in town. The manager will look you straight in the eye and lie to you about a cut antenna but I've tested with multiple devices and times/dates and know this isn't true. 1/12 STILL the most unreliable WiFi in town! Does zero good to complain. Obvious they could care less. Update 11/10/2015. Have been to many many different McDs across US and have generally found all of their WiFi is spotty if useable at all in places. read more
