After not going here for almost a year, Again this establishment continues to let me down for many reasons. The doors aren't open at the stated time forcing you to go through the drive thru. The drive thru times are ridiculously long making this not a fast food restaurant-but a slow wait too long and might be late to work line. The food is either scorching hot enough to burn your tongue, or hard and stale tasting like it was yesterday's biscuits. The same assistant manager is there from over a year ago with his smug egotistical attitude that he knows all. When you say anything about the time, service or food quality he shrugs it off and says call the number on the receipt, with that smug attitude. Zero accountability for management here. this mcdonalds is an infrequent stopover, usually only for coffee. noticed coffee isn't automatically $1 in the outer bay area, only urban areas but not in low incoome working communities. Towards the tail end of my residency in Benicia over 2 years ago, I came here due to the limited locations for food that were still open late at night. The drive thru was quick and easy, all my orders came out correct. As for the food quality, everything is so automated with their systems, the food is standard to other McDonald's. The service is what makes or breaks the differences in this franchise, and so far, even coming back here while living away and just working close by, these McDonald's is okay. As for the location, you really really need to watch out for the entrance, the slope incline of it will damage the bottom of your car if you aren't careful. I seen cars going straight in the driveway and they get stuck. Please, always go in an angle and take your time, no one should be that hungry for some chicken nuggets... Also, watch out for the exit as well, you share the exit with the drive thru next to you and sometimes people don't look when leaving the food window, they will cut you off. read more

So yea just got burned by the infamous McDonald's coffee. The worker at the drive through window handed me the cup and the lid popped off and poured all over my leg and inside my car. Arrived at the drive through before 11 pm. 2 cars ahead of me was taking a very long tome to order. By the tume I got to the order window, it was past 11 and they refused to take my order. Manager said it was their "policy" to close down at 11 irrespective of customers in line. I made a stink about it and they took my order, but not without a long argument about customer service. Store manager on duty said she wanted to go home. What happened to customer service? Ordered 3 "Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich" and this is what we got. Total different bun, lettuce, they used mayo instead of the ranch sauce and the chicken patty was soggy and pathetic. We spent a total of $35. We got home and noticed this is not what they're advertising, if they're having shipment delays from this #Covid19 then that's what they should advertise. I process to call this McDonald's and SAMANTHA answers the phone and I ask to speak with the manager of the day, the person whose in charge of everything. She proceeds to tell me that she is the highest authority on shift and I explain I'd like to be compensated. She then tells me they have changed their buns and lettuce on April 1st. I explain that I'd like to be compensated again. She says she'll transfer me to the actual manager on duty. ALEJANDRA then answers, and I told her SAMANTHA said she was in charge of the whole restaurant. So I proceed to explain what's going on. One sentence in, she says "hello? ... hello?" Worst McDonald's ever ! The "manager" there (a Latina lady with dyed blonde hair) is so rude and lazy and decided to make my order the way she would prefer making it instead of how I asked for it . I asked for 7 sugars and extra caramel in my coffee and because she thought the one pump of caramel she put in was suffice , she decided my coffee didn't need any sugar . I drove off and had to turn around and get back in line and this is when she told me that "she put caramel in my drink so she didn't think it needed sugar"... WTF.... I said "no you make it how the customer wants it , not how you want to make it ". So I asked for 7 sugars again and this smart a** lady started acting like she could barely speak English and gave my drink back to me with only one sugar you can tell she just threw on top of the ice that I could barely taste. I decided to stop by this McDonald's before work as it's the closest one to my house, and my what a great experience I had at the drive thru. The person in the drive thru was wonderful as they calmly took my order without yelling at me. I was even more surprised by this young lady at the drive thru window who greeted me and asked me how my day was going as I waited for my order to be ready. I think she said her name was Celeste? Normally when I go here they don't have any issues. However, this time around they managed to classically mess up my simple order... Now I went a little after lunch at 2pm so they weren't that busy (maybe like 3 cars ahead of me and no one behind me). I had ordered 1x 20 piece Chicken nuggets, 1x large fries, 1x hash brown, and a 4 piece tenders. When the receipt said 4 piece nuggets instead of tenders, I politely bring it up to the cashier and he tells me that when my order is called to let whoever know that there was a mistake and they'd fix it right there.. Now since I normally don't have any issues with this location, I agree. So, my order is called for pickup and I explain to the different employee about the misunderstanding and the cashiers mistake and he then tells me: "We would have to charge you for the tenders if you want the tenders"... Seriously??? Wow.... So they ended up giving me nuggets instead of the tenders. Normally I don't have a problem with minor issues like this but if your employee is dishonest it shows something about how the manager/supervisors train their staff. This is such a great McDonald's! The food is always solid, but most importantly the service at this location is seriously the best. The staff were so kind and patient despite getting slammed from the chaos from the fires today. I can't emphasize enough how great their workers are and they helped serve all the folks leaving evacuated areas. Samantha at this location is the best! I wish ZERO stars were possible because this is by far the worst Mcdonalds. Almost every employee is high school aged teenagers (which there is nothing wrong with) except they are extremely unpleasant and lack the necessary skills required to work in customer service. When you come even an hour before closing, they are almost unwilling to serve you. Once, I showed up around 11:15 pm on a Friday night to get a McFlurry, only to be told that the "machine wasnt working" and heard multiple employees laughing before they turned off the headset... bad move guys. I've worked in the food business long enough to know how that works.. When lazy employees dont want to do their job, suddenly the equipment no longer works. Also, don't come here for the sweet tea. It's a real disappointment. You're better off taking the 5 extra minutes to go to Vallejo and get real sweet tea. read more

This may be the worst McDonald's I've ever been to and I love me some McDonald's french fries. Their fries though are always under cooked, floppy, and oily. The drive through almost always gets the order wrong. Mine is a bad news, good news story today. Ordered an egg McMuffin with no cheese (just don't like American cheese at all!) but got an egg McMuffin WITH American cheese and then no Canadian bacon. Of course, did not realize this until I was on the road (drive thru order) so went back after work and the manager was super nice, not only remade the order but offered a free apple pie. This place is clean and has fast service. Hardest thing to deal with is getting in to or leaving the parking lot. I have always gone here before or after work because it is the fastest food in the downtown area and very cheap. Never have had a wrong order here and almost all bad reviews are from a few years ago. They made the wrong sandwich. When I Called to telltell them they answered and then hung up. They then kept the phone off the hook. When I drove back to tell them I just wanted to exchange the sandwich for the correct one, the employee, Karen, who refused to show me her name tag, was being rude and dismissive because I didn't have my receipt. I am a diabetic... every morning I stop to get an ice tea with SPLENDA clearly stated splenda... the girl at the order is very pleasant taking extra time to know people's order by voice/car etc... today I stopped get my tea... get back to work... it's sugar... so I call them to let them know that their mistake is a life risk for someone... One day I go and get coffee. I forget to ask for creamer and sugar because I wasn't asked. Wasn't mad at that because I should have remembered. What made me upset is that I asked the lady in the window to put 4 creamers and sugars. I handed her my cup and she told me that she couldn't cause its full. So she handed me the creamer and sugar. I stayed there and waited for my food. I opened up the coffee cup and hot coffee spilled all over me. I don't understand why she couldn't do it when I handed it to her. Another visit it took me about 10-15 minutes to order a 2 cheeseburger meal and jalapeño mcchicken. I asked for both burgers to have no pickles and the other burger to be plain. This review is only for their ice cream/ice milk, as I wont touch their burgers and such since reading "Fast Food Nation". The cones, with or without chocolate dip, are good n cheap, especially when compared to the same stuff at Baskin Robbins down the street where it is 3 times the price for the same thing. Mickey D's sundaes are an even better deal, a nice break for the kids. The place itself is clean and bright, a typical McDonalds, and the service is usually ok, except when you get that bored high school kid. read more

Stopped in yesterday for breakfast on way to Six Flags. Knowing how expensive food is in Six Flags I ordered the Big Breakfast. It could not have been better. Food was hot and fresh, service was great, and all for $5.00. Where else can you get that kind of value in a convenient location with quick friendly service?
