I've never really had any issues here! My food is normally good, but I do always ask for it fresh. I stopped by to try one of the new drinks they have and couldn't decide between the Strawberry Watermelon refresher or the Orange Dream. I love me a good orange creamsicle flavor and been into it a lot more this year, so I went with that one. I'm not a big soda drinker, but this was good. It tasted super creamy and hit the spot! I can't wait to try more flavors. The Dirty Dr. Pepper sure looked good too! Only thing I wasn't too happy about was the fries. I asked for them fresh, but it seemed like they'd been sitting for a while. Had a nice crunch, but was looking forward to fresh hot fries, not cold old fries. This McDonald's is by far my favorite in Chula Vista open 24 hours with plenty of parking, so you can just chill and enjoy your Chicken McNuggets in peace after a long day. Fast service, good coffee, and five stars all around. Today I got free McNuggets using the app I'd highly recommend everyone download it. The coffee is normally $0.99 on the app but currently $1.99 at stores . You can only use one reward per transaction, so my trick is to pay $1.99 for coffee, earn points, then redeem a reward. I placed a pick up order here after 1am- am glad this location was open. The drive through line took a little longer than I'd like but I guess everyone else had late night cravings as well. It didn't matter what rating they have...if you go to a McDonald's you know what you are getting into. Fries are usually decent, nuggets are nuggets and Big Mac is a Big Mac! But ugh why is it that I can't find a single one with semi-worthy customer service! C'mon what is your hiring guidelines. I know it's easy to get a job here but do you weed anyone out??? Look at the attached receipt.... Everything is plain English written out. So what do you do? Correct...follow it step by step and place it in the bag. We learn that in preschool what goes first, then second...etc. Hmmmmmm but yet these guys failed to put my mustard, sweet and sour and left out one of my 2 McRibs (mind you these are the reasons we came tonight.). This is the best McDonalds. Fast, fresh fries every time, always nice and courteous employees. And the drive thru orientation is easy to navigate even with a large truck. Also has parking available all over the place. No problems going thru with my short trailer. My wife and I had a late dinner about 1015 last night, so we decided to go to this restaurant. We ordered two large fries , two Mcdoubles no pickles, a double quarter pounder, plain and two unsweet iced teas. We drove up to the window we paid. We drove off the second window to pick up the food. The staff member ended up passing us four large sprite, which we told her that's not our order. I had to repeat my order and she seemed confused so she poured our s teas. She looked at the screen and asked for our receipt. she said she'll be right back. Apparently they gave our food to the people in front of us so they had to re-cook our food. she said sorry for the inconvenience and added another fry. so we went home and there wasn't an extra fry in the bag . very disappointing. This McDonald's had no other customers when I arrived, and I only ordered three McChickens. I had just left the hospital around 1:00 AM to grab food, and I didn't get back until 1:50 AM because of how long everything took. At the payment window, a young man in his 20s with tattoos and a beard took my card. He disappeared with it for about 3-4 minutes, came back and said the card reader wasn't working. He said he had to use the machine in the back, so I agreed. He came back about a minute later, gave me my card, and told me to pull up to the next window. At the second window, another worker came up and told me they were just waiting on one more McChicken. I ended up waiting 25 more minutes. When he finally handed me my food, he forgot the drinks--even though I ordered three. I had to remind him. When he came back, I asked for barbecue sauce, and he only gave me two packets. I asked for more, and he seemed annoyed and said, "Is that it?" I dropped one sauce on purpose to see if he'd bring more, and he only gave me one more. This location is a mess. Slow service, missing items, staff with bad attitudes--and on top of all that, I was charged twice for a small order. This is completely unacceptable. This is my neighborhood McDonald's for the last 30 yrs. It's our go to for snacks and treats. The last few visits have declined. Orders have been wrong and it takes so long to get an order filled. My last visit I was asked to pull into one of the waiting spots and someone would bring my order out to me. I saw customers come and go. The person delivery orders outside tried to give me someone else's order. I asked where is mine and she said it's coming. 30 mins later I have to go inside and get my order. Unacceptable! Tonight 01/03/2026 @ 7ish pm. Customer service sucks! No smile no greeting, no nothing. Handed me the mik to my grandsons meal and closed the window without saying anything. Every time we came here, we automatically know something is not going to be right. This last time was bad. We stopped going here after we moved but my husband was in the area and ordered me a quarter pounder with cheese. By the time I got home a few hours later, I opened it (not my surprise) and it was just a regular hamburger with no cheese. Normally I'd call and complain but at this point, we knew this McDonald's is always wrong. It just sucks we paid for a quarter pounder with cheese and just got a lame hamburger. I go to this location every once in a while because of the convenience. Staff always seem to be in a horrible mood, no greeting, terrible attitude, and service is incredibly slow. Also, make sure to double check your order before pulling out of the drive- thru because they tend to not give you condiments. read more

Matter of fact, I asked for extra ketchup and got zero ketchup packages in my bag, even though it's clearly marked on the receipt and they never remember to give me my extra big Mac sauce. 2 stars because the employees are nice. Unfortunately this is the closest McDonald's to my house. I mobile order and can check in that I'm in the area 5-10 minutes before arriving and I go through the drive thru, almost EVERY single time they ask me to go to a parking spot. If I wanted my order brought to me at a parking stall, I would've selected that as my choice when placing my mobile order. I've emailed the manager and he stated it depends on your order, well mine is chicken nuggets and fries, not a large order, nothing out of the ordinary and no substitutions or changes. What is the hold up? Mobile order should be for convenience but unfortunately it isn't. It's just like ordering through the drive thru. read more

I don't eat McDonald's very often but when I do this restaurant is 5 minutes away so it's convenient. Every time I have come here they send you to wait at one of the stalls. No exaggeration, every time! Regardless of the time of day. The food is just like any other McDonald's but the service is very lacking. I read other reviews have complained about the same thing. It's not like I get big or complicated orders. 15 minutes waiting for a #1 Big Mac combo with a Coke. Plenty of other food choices in my area so won't be coming back here. read more

I ordered food for the family and upon ordering, I had to repeat my order three times no big deal. When I got to the window, the sodas were wrong, it happens so I told them the correct sodas were 2 dr. Peppers and a coke. They said they got it and I go to the next window. The worker says, sprite coke and Dr Pepper? Um no. Still wrong. So we get that fixed and everything's fine. Leave I checked the bags and everything is there. BUT the French fries! All were filled halfway and not even cooked! They were all limp and stuck together! No fries were spilled in the bag and I definitely did not eat any on the way home (I'm pregnant and don't have my heartburn pills with me so I have to wait til I get home). I ate with my family at this location and this tall guy with curly hair was using profanity, was loud, every word he was saying was a cuss word. I am so glad my grandkids were not with us. We will not return to this location for sure!! I forgot to mention, while we were there, another person heard how this person was in the back talking, he complained to one of the other workers, it was a girl, when she told the tall guy with curly hair, he said he didn't give a fvck and continued to say all the cuss words in the book. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I went here for a bacon quarter pounder meal. I ended up getting a regular quarter pounder with cheese. So I head back to the McDonald's just to be told to wait at the last window. After 10 minutes of waiting I go inside to find employees in the back laughing and joking.
