We stopped by while traveling home from vacation for breakfast. I ordered a steak, egg, & cheese McMuffin meal (it isn't on the regular menu but I always order it) and the hubby had a sausage McMuffin meal. The food was all fresh and hot and tasted great! Two employees went above and beyond for us. The woman taking our order suggested a way to combine items in our order to get more food for less money. The man at the window helped us get plenty of ketchup even after we pulled away. This restaurant was one of the only ones open in all of Gaylord (early closings during COVID), and despite a long drive thru line, they worked efficiently to give us a great experience. AND the service window was disgustingly dirty... when trying to complain on the actual site, it won't let you 'share' your experience, guessing they don't care enough to know what is going on. Better than the nearby Wendy's, but I think the only way this place survives is because it's the last McDonald's you'll see for miles and miles after getting onto I-75. If you pass by this McDonald's and head south on 75, the next McDonald's is not until exit 244, Roscommon, and you still have to drive 3.5 miles east to get to it. After that, the next McDonald's is not until West Branch, but at least it's right near the highway exit. So if you need some McDonald's coffee before you head home, this is the place. read more

The best McDonald's breakfast I have EVER had. The food was fresh and fast, the workers were quick and efficient. Everything was delicious. Loved the 2 for $5 deal for the sausage McGriddles and the hash browns were golden crispy. Even the egg was still hot on the sausage egg McGriddle. 18 June 2019 Went into the Gaylord Michigan McDonald's yesterday. I was greeted by a young man at the cash register who seemed nice, he was polite. His arms were completely covered in tattoos. While ordering my lunch I noticed a SWASTIKA on his left arm. I tried to eat my lunch but I was too upset to eat so I tossed my lunch in the trash and went to talk to him. I asked him what the SWASTIKA on his arm meant. He said he didn't know. So I asked him what it meant to him. He said something about a Norse symbol (actually there are mid-eastern and Germanic meanings but no ancient Norse meanings unless one includes Germanic). Well, by this time my anger was boiling over and I explained to him about the 60,000,000 human beings that were slaughtered under that symbol along with my personal feelings about that history. I am not proud of this but I was yelling and swearing and as he walked to the back of the store, I told him to get his manager. She asked what the problem was and I told her about his SWASTIKA and how I felt about it. Again, I was pretty upset). In a manner that did not actually include a question, just sarcasm, she asked me "what do you want me to do about it"? I was so angry by this time I didn't answer, I just said I would never return to that restaurant and left. He has every right to say what he wants and to write what he wants to on his body. I just wish he could express some understanding of what this evil symbol represents, but if he did he would not admit that. He is either uneducated or a sympathizer of evil. Both are problematic. McDonald's could easily ask him to cover that tattoo (while he is at work) that is so offensive to anyone who has any knowledge of what the Nazi's did. I am asking everyone who is a Jew, who cares about civility or understands the US can never allow antisemitism to be part of our culture to please pass by the Gaylord McDonald's and go to one of the other restaurants in town. The last time a society failed to fight against hatred of this kind the world suffer beyond comprehension. I just wish I could have helped him understand instead of letting my anger get in the way of communicating. read more

Even pre Covid, this McDonalds has been clean, fast and friendly. The employees may be faking it but their greeting always seems genuine. Their lines move fast (fastest in town during Covid especially) and are accurate. Keep up the good work! read more

Night time crew here was awesome, friendly and kind. Guy at the paying window waved me up enough to where I didn't hit the car infront of me so I could pay quicker instead of waiting, I asked for a water because I forgot and the guy at the second window gave it to me with no problem and was very kind about it. Horrible customer service. Dustin who took my order in the lobby was so rude and rolled his eyes every time I wanted to add something to my order. complained about being short staffed. I had 3 kids that had chicken nuggets and they forgot my ranch so I went and asked the same guy for some ranch and he handed me 1 ranch so o politely asked for some more and he rolled his eyes and was so rude about it! made me feel so uncomfortable and never want to go back!! I understand being short staffed, if you you guys are so short staffed then maybe they should go to drive thru only because clearly they dont know how to act. read more

This is, bar none, the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Every single time I eat there they are seemingly short staffed and it takes forever. It took longer for me to get my dinner after work tonight than it takes for me to drive home and I live several towns away! When I finally do get my food It's usually cold and nine times out of ten they mess my order up and virtually never give me any napkins. Let me share a story with you: One time I ordered a large fry. That was it. They took over twenty minutes (as always) and gave me fries that were so overcooked they were rock hard and I couldn't eat them. I called them, complained, and they offered me a free meal. The next day I pulled in for my free meal and ordered a nice burger combo. It took forever as always. Half way home down I-75 I realized they'd given me (ice cold) chicken nuggets (with no sauce even) instead of my burger. I called up and complained again with the same results. The next day they finally, finally got the food right although it still took 20+ minutes and they forgot the salt packets and napkins I asked for. All in all I spent more than an hour in that drive-through over the course of three days trying to get the correct order and they still didn't get it quite right. This happens almost every time I visit this location! Avoid this McDonald's at all costs. read more

This McDonalds is a zoo, skip it at all costs. If your traveling with a trailer don't pull in, only has three spots usually with parked cars, leaving no way to get around! The parking lot is dangerous and the wait time for getting food is long. Wait and use another McDonalds ! read more

I'm not sure I understand the point of the double drive-through's. I've been sitting here for 10 minutes and I still have three cars in front of me waiting to pay at window number one. They're lined up three deep at each ordering station in the movement is ridiculously slow. Perhaps we need to payment windows in one ordering window. Whatever it is this McDonald's has this all wrong. We have all been to McDonald's at one Time or another. We all have our views on what cleanliness is. There are several issues with this McDonald's. First and foremost the quality of food is an absolutely terrible representation of the McDonald's restaurant chain. I would like to believe that if a corporate office member were to come here , They would be shutting this one down. Lots of staff running around, but one person running the POS inside. There were a lot of people waiting in line! There was a young man, maybe a shift manager or manager? Black pants and blue shirt walking around in back. He did come up to talk to some friends, but not assist anyone. I was appalled by how he wore his clothing. The crotch of his pants down to his knees, belt around his crotch, obviously, and only half of the front of his shirt tucked in. This was the way you wear your clothing on the street - not on your job, unless you are a rapper! You had customers to serve. Maybe jump on a POS and get those lines moving. I managed retail for several years and been in customer service for over 20 yrs. and I was sad to see McD's let the riff raff run this establishment. read more
