Whoever owns this location needs to be removed. Other reviews are true, if you mistakenly decide to stop here you will be forced to wait 30 minutes for your order. The staff is comparable to a flock of chickens running into each other with their heads removed, and that's only due to being understaffed. If you could drive a little farther to eat at a better spot, I'd highly recommend it. The lines are long here, probably due to the lack of food options around. We decided to stop for gas at the nearby Shell station and grab a quick bite to eat at around 10:15am. After standing in line for about 15 mins, I placed a modest order for the 5 members of our family; and over the next 30 minutes, we watched one by one as other orders were filled for guests who came in after us. Turns out they completely forgot about our order. As they scrambled to put everything together for us, they realized they ran out of yogurt parfait -- instead they gave us a tube of gogurt and sliced apples (so we can make it ourselves, I guess? ). In their effort to make good, they also got a couple of our orders wrong. I'll give them points for giving us free 10-pc nuggets though, and for trying to make us happy. This is a newly renovated location. Completely empty Monday through Thursday, unless it's a long holiday. Expect severe delays on all weekends and any holiday. The staff is local and very friendly, none of them are worried about their job security, it's the opposite, there are more available jobs than employees here in the Grapevine. All of the in town attitude goes ignored. The restrooms and entire restaurant is very clean, and runs efficiently. On days when there is severe traffic on the 5 either direction the restaurant can be found understaffed. It is impossible to guess when a accident or weather will close the grapevine. Other than these situations, I can't see why or what type of client would think the staff is intentionally running out of fresh food to serve, or breaking their own equipment. Gorman Mcdonalds Drive-thru cashier was out of line and rude (1/28/2023 approx 2pm Saturday) and menacing. Accused me of talking to him wrong. He asked if I had any ones to make even change, I said what I had. He started to keep on, and I again stated what I had that I did not have any ones. He then preceded to argue that I shouldnt talk to him that way, he gave me a menacing look that was very unnecessary. Please train your employees better. Dont bother customers with asking for a specified amount to make your drawer change easier. Train your employees better. Mcdonalds food is not cheap! Customer service should be priority. I will not go if you continue with these kinds of employees. your restaurant does have a lot of local customers as well! read more

Not that often I rate a chain restaurant. Oh Well here goes. As those who travel this route, the ridge route or I5 or Grapevine or whatever name you choose, it is a long road thru Gorman a long way between stop for food or gas or restrooms. This stop in Gorman was oh so clean and inviting. The restroom was reasonably clean. the cashier was very sweet, kind and helpful. They had Mcrib Sandwiches which made my travelling companion very happy. They were just all around good at what a McDonald's does. read more

I have to leave a great review for the customer service here at this location. As we were traveling up north we stopped to have a quick bite to eat. In our rush to leave my son left a semi-valuable item in the restaurant. By the time we realized it was missing we were too far gone to turn back around. We called the restaurant and spoke to Carolina who was very helpful and sweet and was able to have her manager Maria agree to mail us back our item to our home. Talk about going above and beyond!! Out of coffee, out of pancakes and I'm sure more as every customer seemed to be disappointed in this location... they messed up 4/5 orders we ordered... one of the sausage mcmuffins had a hair, when they gave us a new one the middle was soggy, cold, and slightly frozen!!!! I have read the other reviews but had a different experience. We went in for a quick bathroom break and decided to order the sausage, egg mc muffins. We took it to go. we got our food within 5 minutes. Staff were friendly. We drove off and my daughter handed me my mc muffin. Me no likey... I wouldn't usually write a review on a fast-food chain but I just had to. This McDonald's is located in Hungry Valley in Gorman, CA. I will make this short and sweet. The service here SUCKS!! Really. The people who work here are borderline (let me apologize in advance because I will offend some of you out there) RETARDED. They are soooooo slow. They had 1 cashier working the register and 2 people were kickin it on their break! Everyone else is shuffling stock items in the back. Management here really needs to do something. Every time we stop here, it takes a good 25-30 minutes for us to get our takeout order. We would go through the drive thru (seems a little faster) but we are towing a boat and that just won't cut it. Mr. Ronald McDonald, please ensure that your Gorman, CA franchise hires people who care about getting people in and out of their store. I don't usually take the time to review McDonalds unless it's EXTREMELY amazing or it's EXTREMELY awful. But this was a little of both, so it deserves some words. I stop in Gorman quite often on my drive from Norcal to Socal and vice versa. It's a nice place to stop in the middle of the mountain pass (aka the Grapevine) and I usually go to Carl's, but THIS time, decided to go to Mcdonalds. Fortunately, there was no line in the drive thru, yayyy. So we order. My brother gets a mini meal with a plain double cheeseburger, and myself, a plain mcdouble and fries. We get our food rather quickly and the lady was really really REALLY nice. Yay, good times. I notice they place a sticker on the bag that says something along the lines of : We checked your back twice for accuracy. Cool, they take the time to check that our food is right. Or so we thought... My brother went to get gas at a nearby 76. While my brother was chomping on my french fries, I reached in the bag looking for his and found that there weren't any. WTF. He ordered a mini meal, which equals a burger, a drink, and small FRIES. Since when does a McDonalds forget the fries when someone orders a meal? This really wouldn't have pissed me off if they hadn't put that "accuracy" sticker on there. Liars. So luckily, we were close enough to drive back and ask for the missing fries. And they were nice about it, which was cool. We left and continued our trek into socal. And then, while driving, I grabbed my Mcdouble and took a bite of it. Pickles. And mustard. And ketchup. And onions. BLEGH. They messed up my burger :( :( :( :( and we were already too far away to fix it. :( Moral of the story: This McDonalds has very friendly workers, but they do NOT know how to complete an order correctly. I understand messing up my plain burger, it happens to me quite often. But forgetting to put fries in??? And then putting a sticker saying they double checked the bag for accuracy even though they obviously didn't since there were two things wrong with the order? Sorry! The bathrooms were not up to standards of cleanliness standards. My husband ordered the mcrib and a coffee and I got two cheeseburgers. I have eaten a lot of cheeseburgers from McD's and this was probably one of the worst! And my husband said his sandwich tasted old.
