Last night 5/23/26 at 11:30 PM , John and his two-man team at Wendy's delivered some of the best customer service I've seen in years. Right in the middle of a major rush, their entire system went down, and instead of things falling apart, John stepped up and led with professionalism, calmness, and efficiency that honestly exceeded expectations. Despite the outage and unsympathetic patrons orders kept moving, food came out quickly, and the team remained polite, organized, and attentive throughout the entire experience. John handled customers with patience and genuine courtesy while simultaneously coordinating the team and keeping operations running smoothly under pressure. What stood out most was the attitude. No excuses, no frustration directed at customers, just outstanding leadership and work ethic during a difficult situation. The level of service they provided would have been impressive even under ideal conditions. At 11:30 at night under a system failure during a rush, it was extraordinary. John demonstrated leadership qualities well beyond his position and operated at a level fit for management either at Wendy's or any business that requires grace under pressure. I wish we could give half-star ratings. So, the restaurant itself was nice and clean. The service was very fast and friendly, but there wasn't a lot of traffic when we were here. The food was decent, typical fast food. Nothing spectacular. But it wasn't bad either. And it was really fast. The Wendy's at this location is located in the flying J truckstop. So there's lots of tables, and then you have access to restrooms and even showers if you'd like. Not a bad place to stop if you're in Lubbock. There's not much else for options here anyway read more

This truck stop Wendy's is an oasis in the mostly barren landscape of the Grapevine pass that links the Central Valley and Southern California. Given the Tesla EV chargers recently installed across the street I believe this location will grow in popularity. And the workers here deserve praise for how much effort and professionalism they showed during a busy weekend. There was a lot of hustle from the crew but they did their jobs with aplomb and everybody got their food in a reasonable amount of time. Once the line had died down there was worker moving around the dining room keeping it clean. Food came out fresh and was exactly what we needed on a cold night. Thank you, Wendy's crew! read more

This was attached to a gas station. It was tidy, the staff were friendly and our food was served in a timely manner. We ordered a son of baconater and a biggie meal.my experience with biggie meals is usually the burger is smashed and sorrowful. This was not the case. All of our food was prepared well, looked great and we truly appreciate that. read more

Mangers very rude. Asked a simple question and was given bad attitude. The woman manger was rude then she went to go get the other manger that look like he was just getting out of drug rehab. After see him touch and breath over the food I decided to not eat here at this location. I would expect much better service at a Wendy's located inside of a truck stop. Imagine you tell someone you're from California and when they ask you have to tell them Lebec. Moment of silence....anyway despite that scenario there is good service here and at this whole setup. Wendy's was a good choice for flying J as they have the closest I can find to "healthy food" of most fast foods, for cheap. Yes I'm talking about the 20 dollar sauced nugs for eleven bucks. Healthy and super good. Lots of protein. My dogs approve as do I. That's a good calorie-per-dollar ratio. Cheap food that's semi-healthy gets extra healthy points in my mental calculator. I support Wendy's over McDonald's with the same deal because I have standards. Only a few but they're still standards. read more

For a Flying J location, it is clean and fast, plus they have the same prices of stand alone Wendy's. Which kinda sounds like a doll from the 50s. Stand Alone Wendy! This location has a single-seating bar at the window so you have a nice view of the shady people looking in the back window of your car. It's always cold: the AC is always pumping so high they should call it Windy's. read more

NOT HAVE AGAIN: The Son of Baconator was ok but gooey because of the melted cheese. Odd burger. After we ordered, the other people in line inside the restaurant were told no more orders would be taken for 5 minutes because they were busy with the drive through orders. Oh Where do I begin? I work with a bunch of 20 year old girls graveyard shift. These girls would wear their headphones and talk to each other all night long they had the worst potty mouth you've ever heard. They played super loud music that was inappropriate for a family place. These girls would get high right there on the property, in the break room or they would take a joint from the drive-thru from I guess that would pull through and smoke it right inside the building. Have you heard the saying too many chefs in the kitchen? Well that's what it was like to work there. Everybody wanted to boss you around. All they did was talk trash about the general manager. And want you to do their work for them because they were too lazy to do their own jobs. There was so much double standard there. They tell you you can't wear your hair down or have really long nails, but the managers all had really super long nails they always wear their hair down, but I was told I had to keep my hair up. One of the managers left a bunch of stuff on the floor which was a big No-No, another thing that they would do they would tell you not to do something but they would do it themselves. When they did stuff they weren't supposed to or did an accident they would just laugh about it but if you made a mistake they would scold you. I had a terrible accident where I fell over stuff that was left on the floor that wasn't supposed to be there. The shift manager on site didn't even offer to say do you want to go to the doctor's which they are supposed to do. The next day I went to the HR guy and he sent me to the general manager or whoever he was Chad. Chad tried to blame it on me, telling me I should have been looking where I was going, I should also told the shift manager that I would like to go to the emergency room. Can you believe that? The moment I told him that I got a lawyer he said he can no longer talk to me, but then proceeded to tell me that they offered me to go to the doctors but I did not give them a chance. What a lie. I went to the emergency priority Urgent Care that same day that HR sent me to. The Urgent Care quack did not even look at my injuries. She sent me home and told me to take Ibuprofen, that's when I decided to hire a lawyer. I told him that and he said I can't talk to you. I said but you just did you told me I didn't give you a chance, he responds you didn't. You see he keeps talking but dismisses what I say. That sounds like retaliation. He's mad because I got a lawyer? He was extremely rude to me. Instead of saying are you okay? Or anything. I even told him about the girls smoking weed on the premises, he asked for the the date that it happened. I gave him that information but obviously he did nothing with it. Most of the employees complain about the general manager never praising them for what they do do but always coming down on stuff of what they don't do. If they're unhappy with that, take it up with the HR instead of trashing her. She's always been really nice to me. The manager Reyna started out being very very cruel to me in the beginning but became nice after the GM spoke with her. But she's one of those who has very long nails she has her hair down all the time, and she doesn't wear gloves when she handles the food, I can't believe the things that go on in that kitchen. I've been asked to lie to the customers and tell them our computers were down every time they wanted to close the door when the shift manager would get freaked out about something. I refuse to lie to anyone. I know how to work in a fast food place come out I know how to speak with employers. They definitely need a new crew. Especially on graveyard. The only good ones that work there that really do their job that doesn't get recognition that should be management is Tyler, Julia, Christine, and Zaria if she still works there. Oh yeah and the graveyard shift never paid for their meals they never would sign the sheet that you're supposed to as an employee they would just make whatever they wanted and never signed for it. read more

I stopped by the drive thru and was given flat soda. I asked for an exchange and an employee by the name of Toby asked me to come inside so I could refill them myself. I told him I didn't want to get out of my car and would rather wait or go around the drive thru again for the soda exchange. He grabbed the sodas from me and threw them on the floor! As I was trying to explain to another employee to mediate the situation he interrupted and was very rude about the whole situation.
