When I walked in this morning, the floor manager was leaning against the counter and having a long conversation with one of the customers. Not working, not managing, just chilling next to the register, having a loud conversation that had already been going on for while, and continued for another ten minutes while I waited for my take-out order. Naturally, my order took longer than usual. When I got my drink, the outside was sticky, like someone had simply slopped my drink and hadn't bothered to wipe it off, and when I got to work, I found that one of the sandwiches I paid for was not included. ALWAYS check your order before leaving the drive through at this location. Our order was missing the chicken McNuggets and all dipping sauces, including two additional sauces that we paid extra for. I called the store to report the issue and they HUNG UP ON ME after I explained the issue. I tried calling back twice and nobody answered the phone. What a joke this place has become. I grew up in the area and worked at this restaurant for many years. Today, I stopped by on my way out of town and was the only car in the drive-thru. I waited at the speaker to place my order for several minutes without any response, even after I repeatedly said "HELLO." When I pulled up to the first window, I asked the employee, "Are you open?" Of course, the answer was yes since it was 4 PM. I then asked why no one was taking my order. The reply was, "I'm taking orders for line two." I was confused and said, "What??? For the most part this McDonald's is ok and it always smells like fresh brewed coffee in the morning. They've gotten stingy with drinks though. I got one this morning and most of it was Ice.... McDonald's doesn't need to be stingy with soda that costs them hardly anything. It's the worst for customer service if you go inside I've noticed. I purchased a gift card using a debit card. After the debit card went through, the cashier said he was going to refund the amount back to the debit card, saying there was a problem. He continued more transactions which produce three more receipts. The cashier said the money went back to the debit card. The cashier kept all receipts behind the counter and when I ask for the receipts, he took all the receipts and toss it away and left the counter. Stopped at this McDonald's to grab a quick meal and ordered a Quarter Pounder with extra pickles. To my surprise, I was informed that there's now an additional charge for extra pickles--$0.60. I paid the fee, took my food, and drove home. Upon opening the bag, I discovered not only were there no extra pickles, but there was just a single pickle on the burger--quite literally the opposite of what I paid for. Shrugging it off, I started eating, only to realize the burger was severely undercooked. The patty was raw in the center, with about 80% of it visibly pink. While I can appreciate a properly cooked rare steak, undercooked ground beef from a fast-food chain is an entirely different matter, posing a significant risk for bacteria such as salmonella, listeria, and E. coli. I called the restaurant to inform the manager of the issue. He offered a refund and said I could receive a free small ice cream on my next visit. Frankly, I wasn't looking for a free dessert with my next order--I wanted the Quarter Pounder with extra pickles that I paid for, cooked properly, and safe to eat that night. Annoyed, I drove back to the restaurant, went through the drive-thru, and explained the issues with my meal, including the earlier conversation with the manager. I handed back the undercooked burger, and the manager processed my refund at the window. He simply said, "Here you go. Bye," with no acknowledgment of the poor service or the inconvenience. McDonald's, please hire better-trained staff who can ensure basic food safety and customer satisfaction. This was an incredibly disappointing and avoidable experience. Terrible experience at this McDonald's location. I placed a mobile order through the McDonald's app and went through the drive-thru to pick it up. The employee said the order wasn't in their system, even though I showed the app with the order details, the correct location, and pickup code. Instead of helping, they told me to cancel the order and contact customer service--no offer to remake the order, no attempt to assist, and no willingness to escalate. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told no. The attitude was dismissive and unhelpful from the start. Here's the issue: for the customer, there's no difference between the McDonald's app and the restaurant. It's all one brand and one experience. Being told "we can't help, call someone else" is completely unacceptable when the order was placed correctly and the problem was clearly on their end. This kind of service shows a complete lack of accountability. It's not the customer's job to fix internal tech or communication issues. At 10 AM I ordered breakfast for me and my fiancé via the mobile app. I got a code gave it to my fiancé and he ran and got it. When he went through the drive-through service window and gave them the code it was 10:35 AM... Apparently breakfast ended five minutes earlier. The problem was we were told that the second code goes through the food is made. So the food should've already been ready for us by the time my fiancé got to the window. He was told we refunded your money. We don't have your food, sorry it's after breakfast time". I go online and check my Key Bank account and of course, there is no pending refund, the girl at the window, then told my fiancé that it's through the app... So again, I went to the app and there's no refund there. I told him have them remake the food. No we paid for our food and I do not want to refund. I want our food". My fiancé said and apparently the girl laughed at him... Then she calls all her colleagues over to the window to gawk at my fiancé... Needless to say he got livid very fast. We asked for a supervisor, and she said she was a supervisor... Unlikely! He ended up repaying for our food on a whole new order that was given to him. And he asked for the general manager and the district managers name which they wrote on the receipt. I doubt it is their true names. I've also disputed the transaction with my bank. Ordered an egg sausage McMuffin meal. The service was top notch. The gentleman who took my order at the drive through double checked my order at the window in the most polite and professional manner. The lady who handed me my drink was pleasant and professional and the young man who brought my food to my car window was very thoughtful and kind and wished me a lovely day. The food was made to perfection even though I knew I ordered just on the cusp of breakfast closing and lunch starting. I asked for ketchup and jam preserve and was given two of each. I've had it with this McDonalds. From start to finish, last few visits have been very frustrating. Let's start with the person taking my order. When I have to repeat "#5 with a diet coke" 3 times and they still get it wrong, what is the point of even trying? Given the higher prices now, perhaps hire people who can communicate properly. I'm never offered a receipt and given that person doesn't speak much English or look you in the eye, why bother asking. When my order is wrong, I get attitude from the staff for asking them to not forget my fries. The food: Room temp fries, old tasting nuggets like they were made hours ago...I'm just done. A couple of months back I ordered food using curbside service....only for them to stop it 35 minute early, W/O INFORMING CUSTOMERS still WAITING FOR FOOD OUTSIDE, who didn't know until trying to inquire about our food only to find door locked and employee, CLEARLY irritated, pointing to drive thru...which they THEN couldn't find your ALREADY PAID FOR ORDER since it was set up in their system to go curbside. Also when making mistakes that you go back to have fix, you might as well be Casper the ghost while standing at the counter. They just ignore you. Employees laughing and talking to one another in Spanish, not even GLANCING at the people waiting at the counter, until finally forced to raise their voice, "May I get some help please??" All mistakes are never apologized for but instead are corrected begrudgingly with open hostility. I had another employee working the first window who didn't say a word to me when I pulled up. Just put his hand out while staring fixedly at something on the counter in front of him.
