Ordered a strawberry banana smoothie and a large fries. First off, the bathrooms aren't open, which is confusing because every other McDonalds I went to on this island is open. They also messed up our two item order by making us a milkshake instead of a smoothie. It's only a two item order and they messed up half of it. read more

This is a McDonald's so I'm Not going to rave about the menu or the impeccable service. However, this is a clean, well ran location where they keep the tables clean, get your orders out quickly and it's also a nice stop if you're touring the island and need a short pit stop. Enjoy! read more

Food is the same... which is good. Service, and operations is what I'm not thrilled about. This is Hawaii, far west of the US, so by definition a lot of people are on a time zone way ahead of this location. Also, hotels and rentals abound in this area. People don't have cars. So, I want coffee.. Well it's 6am and the drive through is open but not the dine in, which opens at 7am? Oh, the sign says you can mobile order and curbside pickup. I do and guess what, no curbside pickup until 8am... An hour after the dining room opens?? (I finally mobile ordered and walked to drive through window... Server asks "where's your car", But, manager helped me out.. Thanks) Seriously, McDonald's management needs to think about what they are doing here. 3 mobile order kiosks stacked in the main order line and yet no mobile kiosk outside for curbside service. Drive through, but no curbside pickup. Curbside open only after the main dining room is open. Efficiency is what McDonald's was born on.. Maybe time to rethink that. read more

I only go to this place if I have to aka on a Sunday. The staff always closes the drink machine or something dumb and says it's due to Covid, but I think they are just lazy. They also ignore u when ur waiting for them to take ur order and almost force u to use the kiosk. read more

I've heard so many negative things but I always like to try things out for myself before I make my own opinion. Went here for the first time the other day and I didn't have any problems. We drove up to the drive through and I was pretty skeptical just because of all the negative talk leading up to this first encounter. Every item I ordered was in my bag. Everything that my family ate was delicious. Try them out yourself to see that this place is like every other McDs, it's awesome. read more

Never go to this location without any cash. They never do put signs out before entering the drive thru that their system is down and is only accepting cash. They tell you when your at the window to order, if you don't have cash your stuck to wait in the drive thru just to exit! It's so frustrating management needs to inform customers some way. Definitely an inconvenience! I waited from the ordering speaker just to exit for almost 30 minutes! read more

We needed lunch and this McDonalds is clean, efficient, and the burgers were fresh. Friendly customer service too. Not a lot of places are open nearby on Sundays, so this was the ticket today. I miss the old McDonalds that used to be here-the architecture was impressive. But this modern edition delivers classic McDonalds and breakfast all day. read more

Restrooms are ALWAYS clean and that's really all that matters. I've been ordering with the mobile app and it's amazing. Service is always fast and professional, even when there's a huge line inside and out. Only reason I'm not giving a 5 Star: one of the employees there (I don't know her name. Blonde, older, accent, wears her hair in milk maid braids) had repeatedly come up to me while I was eating dinner with my friends family and commented on their airbrush tattoos. Completely irritated with my experience this morning. I made my order at 1020am on the Mobile app ( this was my first time using the app). When I pulled up to the store I had to wait to park in curbside stall due to customer that were eating in the store taking up the parking. When I finally got in the stall it was 1030 and I checked in to pick up my breakfast order and the app than stated that my order was unavailable. Tried checking in one more time before I went in to the store. I approached the lady at the cashier and showed her my app and asked what it meant and she told me they were unable to make my order due to me checking in at 1030 and that they were no longer doing breakfast. Two other ladys than approached and told me the same thing as I explained to her that I ordered my food before 1030. I noticed a line behind me so I kindly told the workers I would step to the side while a manager came to address me. I waited 15 mins and no one came. I went back to the cashier and asked for my items that were available and she completed my order. Asked her for the phone number for corporate complaint line and she said she wasnt a manager so she couldnt provide it and gave me the excuse that she doesnt work at this store she works at the store in Haleiwa. She called one of the other ladies that told me they wouldnt make my order over and she told me the number would be on my receipt. After looking at the receipt I noticed it wasnt there so the lady went and ask another worker for the number and wrote it on my receipt. Went to my car in the curbside pick up stall to wait for my coffees and waited 10 more minutes before sending my husband in to grab my order. My receipt showed it was curbside and they still didnt bring my order out. My husband came out with the 2 coffees and 4 frappes that I ordered and the iced coffees lid was just placed on the cup and not sealed. The frappes were filled to about 2-2.5 inches below the top of the cup and topped off with whipped cream that didnt even reach the lid. Really wish the workers had name tags so I could state exactly who I was dealing with but they didnt. Spoke to a friend after that used to work at the location and the Haleiwa location, explained to her what the workers looked like and found out after I left that the one lady I spoke to (not the cashier) was actually a manager. Baffled that she didnt wanna address herself as the manager when I asked for one and that she all but said a few words to me and didnt wanna hear my side. Sucks that this happened because my order was about 100 dollars and they just lost out on that. I will be calling the 1800 complaint line as well as everyone else that I was picking up food for. Hope they get things figured out over there because they are the only restaurant open in Laie on Sundays. Only reason why they are getting any stars is because I have to, to leave a review. read more

Nice clean and modern McDonalds with a Drive Thru. This establishment is located next door to the Courtyard Marriott and Polynesian Cultural Center. Because of its location along the main highway, Drive Thru lines can be pretty long. We were guests at the Courtyard Marriott and walked over twice for late night snacks and desserts. As a need to know, because of its large Mormon population, most businesses, in Laie are closed on Sundays. McDonald's is one of the few establishments that are open on Sunday's. read more

Just put a sign out that says you only take cash. It sucks to wait in the line that takes forever to get out of.

This place is nice and cool inside. It's a great place to sit down relax and enjoy some ice cream or whatever you desire from McDonalds. I was actually surprised at how good the bacon ranch salad was. The employees are also very kind and very nice. read more

The Laie McDonald's, regardless of its newer location, has, for decades, offered extremely slow service due to not enough staff on shift to move the lines and prepare orders. Kiosks are not operational, to offer an alternative to standing in a very long line, but, however, even if they are soon put into operation, there won't be enough staff on shift to complete the orders in a quick and timely manner. This tiny town does not offer many restaurant choices so they aren't going to be changing; avoid if at all possible! read more

I've visited McDonald's across this great country. I've seen some real dumps. This isn't one of them. New, clean, solid breaky mcmuffin with a side of mcpineapple included. Nice touch. As far as Micky D's go, this is top notch with beach access across the street. read more

Ordered late night ice cream treats for the family with the drive thru. A sundae for my son, a strawberry shake for my husband, and m&m McFlurry for me and an oreo snack McFlurry for my daughter. My m&m McFlurry wasn't even properly mixed! The worker mixed the oreo McFlurry but started mixing mine by hand as she walked towards the car! All the m&ms were at the top and hardly any made it to the bottom. I checked and then had to mix it on my own. Lame. C'mon Laie McDonald! I realize you just reopened for less than a year but really? Mixing a McFlurry by hand and not using the machine? I'd understand if the machine was broken but mixing one McFlurry and not the other?! Now I'm not sure I wanna go back even if they are the closest location. read more

I ate here a few week ago while I was on vacation. I know, I'm on vacation eating McDonalds while Hawaii has so much more to off. What I can say is I had breakfast here two times and lunch once. The service was fantastic as well as the food. I normally don't eat McDonalds in my home state due to poor service and food quality. But I was pleasantly surprised and had to write a review. We had drive thru each time and the orders were perfect. I had the crispy chicken for lunch and the bacon McGriddle for breakfast the hash browns and fries were exactly how I like them. This McDonald's is beautiful, but the service is very slow. Took 20 minutes to get 2 plain mcdoubles. At times when the line was so long we wondered if they would open another line. They did not! I have been in busier McDonald's than this one and they were able to get orders up quicker than this one. The one star I give you is for the nice looking place. read more

A new McDonald's, including the employees. We stayed at the Marriott next door and this was our breakfast location. Ordered the Portuguese sausage and egg over rice. Wasn't that impressed. Next day ordered an egg sandwich and a haupia pie. Really liked the pie, but then again I like McDonald's apple pies. Had a Kona iced coffee but the second day we were told all the coffees were Kona?! Don't get an extra pump of vanilla as it is already sweetened. Being a newly opened McDonald's, this place is new, clean, and friendly. Plus they've got a great view! Service is always fast. So is there Wifi! Love the Hawaiian music that plays in the sit down. I'm not a big McD's fan, but sometimes the call for an Egg and Cheese biscuit with OJ comes and it must be answered. Glad that this McDonald's in Laie always answers. She wanted to refund my money because I wasn't satisfied. Which all I asked for was fresh hot fries not my money back. And she insisted on asking me for my receipt so she can refund in money. We've come here a few times now and my wife and I are impressed at the level of professionalism the staff there have. I'm not sure if that's the culture in most restaurants here on the island but I've never been to a McDonalds with crew members making the drive through experience pleasant. I don't know why these reviews don't all have five stars. This is one of the best McDonalds I've been to. We traveled down from Turtle Bay Resort, and stopped by here. The first time we walked in, the store was clean and when we ordered, the cashier was friendly and with a smile. Our order was quick, and our drinks were perfect. We came back the next day for breakfast at 8:30am, drive thru was packed and the lobby was too, but to our surprise, it wasn't busy. Everyone was eating! So we ordered our meals, and sat down. Almost as soon as we sat down, our order was ready. The food was great and warm. Everything was enjoyable. The main cashier was super friendly too. Golden star for this place. read more

Pretty great! Cheap, good, and tasty. Your basic Mickie D's but by the ocean. It has air conditioning and very good customer service. They take your food to the tables but in a way that makes the place feel more like a sit down restaurant than a fast food joint. Try the nugs with a Mcflurry, you won't regret it. read more
