We haven't eaten at McDonald's in years. I wanted their 'fried' apple pie' that made a comeback and we decided to get a couple more things. Mistake. We ordered a hamburger, apple pie, large fries and 6 piece chicken nuggets. $19! The regular old small hamburger literally had 3 tiny dehydrated onions pieces on it, a tiny dab of ketchup, NO mustard and 2 pickles slices. The French fries were old, limp and cold. The chicken nuggets and apple pie were fine. We used drive thru and didn't see the food until we got home. $19 for dried up food and a tiny dab of ketchup is insane and we won't be back to McDonald's. read more

Im still fuming as im typing this because it literally just happened. My experience here was so awful i just had to write a reveiw abt it to warn others. This happened at around 9:40pm i pull up to the drive thru and order a quarter pounder. 1 item. One singular burger mind you. They tell me to pull up to the second window and keep in mind there is nobody else behind me and there wasnt the whole time this happened. At the window the employee (tall, 5 o clock shadow neck beard and glasses, white male, looked to be early 30s) tells me i have to pull up to one of the spots and wait for my food saying it would take 4 minutes. I say absolutely not and asked why because i would understand if i placed a huge order but it was only one burger. He rudely insists that i had to because the manager said so. I said i want to speak with the manager then. He closes the window and 2 minutes later comes back with my food! He didnt even get me the manager! I asked him for his name because i wanted to report his rude behavior and before i could read it HE QUICKLY COVERED HIS NAME TAG and YELLED AT ME "i dont have to tell you that!" And shut the window on me. I was in complete shock and just drove away. i was almost scared to eat my food because i was afraid he might have done something to it so checked it before i ate it. Management if youre reading this you seriously need to reconsider having this guy on your staff!!! read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I've given this place a lot of grace and they constantly disappoint me. Went through drive through tonight. They sent me to spot one to wait for my food for 10 minutes. Brough me out my food and the fries were cold. I asked for new ones. They took my fries and threw them back in the fryer and re-served them to me. Never have I had this happen. It's like eating cardboard. This place is a joke. The food is never consistent and they also charge more than other McDonald's. It takes me a lot to write a review and I've experienced enough of this location to know it's horrible. This McDonald's is the worst McDonald's that I've ever been in the furniture is torn apart tears in all the furniture rips I am plot out a maze, especially being in such an upscale place. The mills are at least four dollars higher than anywhere else in Orange County. I am absolutely baffled that whoever owns this would allow this to happen. McDonald's - Large fry & McDouble Meal Deal - Fast Food Near Me - Mission Viejo, California

We preordered breakfast, and during that process, no where did it say we needed to pick up our food before10:30am. We got charged for the meal and arrived at 10:32am, where the person at the speaker claimed that we could no longer pick up our order and it was automatically cancelled. He also stated that the funds would be returned in the next couple of hours, but that's not true. Once we arrived home, the app asked if we enjoyed our food because it in fact was not automatically cancelled. We had to cancel it ourselves, to which the app said it would take 1-7 business days to return to our card. This is just very disappointing, big thumbs down from us. We just wanted a little fun and easy breakfast. read more

PORTOLA PLAZA - WORST ONE ON THE WHOLE SYSTEM !! I even wrote corporate about how bad it is. And of course I got a form email back saying how sorry theyare, so they referred me back to franchisee !! For some reason I keep giving them a second chance every other month but now I'm done. The place is always dirty - wrappers and sandwich boxes always left around (see photos) while their workers stand behind the counter chatting away like its thursday night planning friday nights date (all with language barriers). The seats are ripped (been that way since I was there 4 months ago) (photos) and you can even see it in the mirror. And to think this franchisee owns 4 of these in a 4 mile radius!! Its a good thing they have kiosks otherwise you'd never be able have some one take your order while they look at you standing there waiting to be acknowledged. They have a small sign behind the counter discouraging kids from hanging out. While I was there 4 kids were in the back table playing with their phones--laughing and all (they seemed to be the employees kids- is it a babysitting service?)--no food on the table - and I was there 50 minutes waiting on my order and eating. MCDONALDS CORPORATE---YOU SHOULD PULL THEIR LICENSE !! GO DO A "SECRET SHOPPER" VISIT--YOU'LL SEE. read more

McDonald's - McDonald's M&M McFlurry - Fast Food Near Me - Mission Viejo, California

Awful experience made even worse. Ordered from the kiosk and had to wait 20 min before finally asking the associate if our order was being prepared. Received it a few minutes later. Arrives home and it was missing three items. That was bad enough but it got much worse. One of the nuggets had a bite taken out of it. I assume it was from an employee as nobody else had access to the food. I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager who had difficulty communication due to a language barrier so she asked me to call the franchisee. I did that and the woman who I spoke with immediately denied what I told her took place. She requested a photo of the bitten nugget via email which I was happy to provide. Upon receiving that she said she would investigate and informed me that they have video of the incident. I waited a few days before following up. When I did that she told me that their insurance company is now handling the incident and she would not speak further about the incident. The insurance rep called a few days later and immediately denied what happened without hearing many details or providing an explanation. I have since contacted McDonalds corporate office. It has been two weeks and there has been no response. Good luck if you decide to visit this location. Hopefully you receive what you ordered and are OK with sharing your food with hungry employees. read more

The food is standard, but the accuracy rate for their drive through orders is less than 30%. And it's not necessarily that they are fast and not accurate, but it's they make yo go wait longer in the parking lot, and still not accurate. read more

Horrible service I been here twice and the service is very bad. I work near by I use to be coming here frequently until I had a incident where they didn't want to give me the online order of my co worker who I was picking up for and they stated only can pick up mine they don't give two hours. They were very rude . I gave it another chance they were trying to give me an order that wasn't mine and they gave so much attention and bad customer service . They strike again. This time with a 100% lack of common sense or a brain. Management, OWNERS, why do you do nothing about the employees at this location. Here is what happened.... I go into the restaurant, I order from the cashier (because the self order does not have 6pc chicken nugget happy meals), and I order two 6 piece happy meals, plain cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, mcchicken and a drink. While we wait for the food, a drive thru customer came in pissed off because they screwed up her order, she went back through to get it fixed, and they screwed up again so now she came inside and was P.I.S.S.E.D. She leaves. The employee brings our food to our table. I place happy meal boxes in front of the kids so they can get their food out, then I proceed to take the mcchicken and 2 burgers (one of them is a double) off the tray. As I take them off I already can tell they most likely F'ed up as the double feels very light and very thin, SURPRISE. As I open the plain cheeseburger to make sure it's plain, my daughter says theres no chicken nuggets in her happy meal. No Chicken Nuggets. ITS LITERALLY THE MAIN PORTION OF THE MEAL, AND ITS MISSING. So I take to the counter and wait for the mean looking heavy set lady who always looks pissed off to acknowledge me and told her THERES NO CHICKEN NUGGETS. I go back to table. Give my daughter her burger and I start to eat my mcchicken. They finally bring her chicken nuggets and all is good......until I open my double cheeseburger. SURPRISE AGAIN. It's a SINGLE. So I walk back up there and wait for the nasty, I mean nice, lady to acknowledge again, and I slam my SINGLE burger down and say THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER. Then go back to table. As the kid brings me the DOUBLE CHESSEBURGER one of the lady "cooks" sticks her head around the corner and says Im sorry. Wrong person to say that to at the horribly wrong time. I said, Give me a break, you guys screw up almost every single time. I just dont get how the massive amount of incompetence continues at this location. I mean I get it, management doesnt care, and obviously the owners dont care, it all trickles down, but seriously to be as bad as this location is you would think at some point the owners would be asking themselves what the hell is going on here? For those of you that make lame comments like, "i don't understand the bad reviews, I went through the drive thru and it was like A+ status, try actually reading for once. The horrible reviews at this location are completely accurate. I have read a ton of them and they are spot on. If im not mistaken, last i read i believe the owner is or was a former MLB baseball player. Well, he needs to come to this location and start swinging bats and throwing balls and make a major change starting with firing the current managers and then start firing some of these crappy employees. Went over to my local Mcdonald's for a meal and was very pleased with my overall visit and customer service. Danielle went above and beyond on customer service and even wished me a happy birthday when i used my app exclusive deal. The employees are so lousy. They lock up the dining room 30-60 minutes early and there's never a set time, just when they wanna be lazy. So anytime I mobile order to the counter, I have to wait in the drive thru if it's past 7:30pm. This is why minimum wage shouldn't be more than $10 read more

I'm not really expecting too much to begin with, getting food at McDonald's, but to be honest, I can use a couple of McE's cheeseburgers now and then to satisfy that hunger quickly. For whatever reason this McDonald's in particular has a thing with making you wait in there parking lot after you go through the drive through. This makes sense if they are busy. But no, there is no one ever behind me and there is no one inside ordering and they tell me every-time that they need you to wait in the parking spot because they're "still cooking the food". If you like waiting in a parking lot for your food every time you visit, then this McDonalds is the place for you! read more

Waited in the driveway thru for 30 minutes for absolutely no service, waiting for someone to take our order and when we order they tell us that we cannot order anything because they are "not doing that right now". We wanted two McFlurrys and a burger. When we did a different order they said "no we aren't doing that either". So why did I have to wait for 30 minutes for them to tell me they aren't serving the food that they display on the menu. If I could have given 0 stars I would have. read more

Give this man ten promotions and five raises. Show this guy and the whole team that they are the bomb dot com. Make sure you're paying him - and everyone else here - a living wage. This kid handled my rambling and messy order at the window, correctly assessed how wildly and flamingly hot of a mess I was, and ended up comping my meal out of his own pocket.
