McDonald's - WAKE UP SHEEPLE - Fast Food Near Me - Mojave, California

Well things have only gotten worse with this McDonalds along with all the other McDonalds this franchise owns. They did a total remodel of this restaurant a few months back and it's terrible. I talked with the general contractor and he said the owner had options of different packages of remodels to chose from, and clearly they chose the cheapest one. The remodel looks cheap and is dysfunctional. I never have been in a McDonald's that the material and interior looked this cheap. It's even ugly and uncomfortable. They put all the front door, both bathroom doors, a trash can, a self order screen kiosk, the order and pick up windows, and a table in an area that is only about 10 feet square. It looks like a fire hazzard. Also this McMorro family removed the all you can drink beverage station and now will not allow anyone to have refills of any kind. No longer with this franchise allow you even one single refile of soda, ice tea, and even coffee. On top of that they greatly increased their drink prices. I found out this franchise is doing this to all the restaurant units they own. To name a few, Rosamond and Ave K and 20th Street West Lancaster. Me and my family have completely quit going here. There is no longer anything good about this McDonald's- it's all bad and they don't deserve the business anyways considering the way they treat customers. read more

If it were possible I'd give less than 0 stars for this sorry example of a McDonalds. It's filthy, the employees are rude and lazy. The self service kiosk only makes it worse. I went here on my lunch hour...BIG mistake. I waited 20 minutes after entering my own order for food that never came. As I was leaving, I finally get a notification that my order was ready. The iced tea is awful. It tastes like they never clean the dispenser. How this place passes health inspections is a mystery. The way they treat customers is shockingly bad. I have gone occassionally for a frozen coffee and when its ready, they call your number and leave the cup on the counter, so anyone can go grab it. A big group of church friends went in one evening and some manager refused my friend a refill of a soda after spending close to $100 on food for all of us. She left her cup on the table to use the restroom, returned to refill her cup and this "manager" yelled at her that she couldn't because she'd gone outside. Thats cross contamination! And she actually sneered at us when she yelled it. No, we said, she just went to the restroom. What, a person must stay in sight of employees, not leave the dining room, ever, if you want a refill of soda? We were TOLD to leave for arguing with this manager, someone who has no business working in the service industry. Dont stop here, no matter how tempting. The hours say it opens at 4:00am, but the women who worked here were just talking inside while a ton of cars drove around confused as to why they weren't answering the drive through at 4:45am. Then finally 5:04 we're sitting there and still nothing. So I called and the women informed me that they were still doing safety checks and would be done in a few minutes. This review is from someone who visits McDonald's maybe once a year. I'm never in the mood for it...Until today on our road trip. I mentioned wanting their cheeseburgers and fries and pretty soon everyone on the trip had to have it. We drove here from Lake Isabella and were HUNGRY. Got here around 1:30pm and it was packed inside, although the drive thru traffic looked sparse. I don't understand their concept of an express computer screen for ordering (especially if it still requires an employee to stand there and assist you) so I went straight to the old fashioned counter with a real person taking your order and that worked great. It was prompt, accurate, and familiar. I hope they always have a real person as an option to customers like me who appreciate it. Our food came out in 5 minutes, maybe less, and was hot and accurate and GOOOOOOOD. Hit the spot. In the 90s I used to always order the two cheeseburgers Value Meal for $2.99, so today I got two McDoubles (2 for $3) and a large fries. The McDoubles are so flat, it was just like having a cheeseburger from the 90s, which is fine with me, lol. It's what I wanted. The establishment is nicely laid out and clean. read more

When we arrived at 9AM on a Tuesday, the indoor area was empty. However, it still took some time for someone to acknowledge us and take our order. No soda of any kind was available and we had to wait for someone to open the restrooms for us. My bf's pancakes were so sweet, they couldn't be consumed and had to be thrown away. Hash brown had a ton of grease (hence the need for extra napkins). We only received a few napkins. I walked up to the empty counter to ask for more and and was completely ignored by two of the employees (one I believe is a manager). After several passes I said, "excuse me" and the (manager) turned around and gave me the look from hell. I asked if I could have a few more napkins. She picked them up and handed them to me with her back partly towards me like I was a leper, the whole time not saying a word and glaring at me, as if I had done something wrong. Yes, even with your mask, I can see your nasty stare. If you don't like your job, go somewhere else. Don't take your personal issues out on other people. Thank God we don't eat here often. In the midst of the world wide Corona Virus PANDEMIC , DO NOT GO TO THIS MCDONALDS! My ski trip tour group went here expecting a standard level of McDonald's quality (decent) and decided to go here to stop for food and to use the restroom. We ordered over 25 meals and were NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE RESTROOM TO WASH OUR HANDS!!!! The brilliant management said we were not allowed to use the restrooms due the Corona virus. There was also no alternative such as hand sanitizer or sanitary wipes. The staff was also rude unaccommodating. We would have gone elsewhere but held captive as we had a tour bus that would not fit elsewhere. The food was cold and there was no nuts for the sundaes. All around TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. read more

I asked for ONE extra pack of sweet and sour sauce after we drove 4 hours from mammoth to have our first meal of the day, but they said "we charge 33¢ and I cannot charge you at the window." So I offered to pay $1 for the sauce, and the manager came over and pointed to the sign that said, "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone," then slammed the window. To sum up this experience in 1 word, trash. If you want McD, food, or anything. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! To start it off Hannah was rude taking our order and gave us attitude for adjusting it. After ordering our food I asked her for the code for the bathroom to wash my hands and she told me to wait. I think to myself cool, no worries, let her finish up what she's doing and I'll be good. Little did I know I would be standing there for another 5 minutes playing with my thumbs. It took her 2 more customers and a convo with a coworker for her to walk over and enter the code herself. Nice! Both machines for the drinks were flat and after informing the staff of this I was recieved with empty stares and comments of 'we are busy'. When we asked for an additional water cup to go with our flat sodas and were told we had to BUY it... When did McD start charging its paying customers for tap water??? It took about 15 minutes in total to receive our food. After walking back to the table we realized they did not give us any napkins... When I went back to the counter and asked for napkins bc I didn't get any with my order she hands me 2 napkins. I point to our table of 5 and showed the receipt of over $40 of food and again ask for more napkins. I was handed an additional 3 napkins... for a grand total of 1 napkin per person. Thank you! Nothing is stocked. Filthy all over. Ordered a breakfast sandwich. After 20 mins I found out they "gave" my sandwich away because they had called it a few times. I was standing waiting there and never heard them call it. It's likely they never made it. Bathrooms are also filthy and most of the employees seem to move at the speed of molasses. No matter how long the line it didn't cause them to work faster. Needs a major overhaul. read more

Stopped here for a bathroom while going up to Mammoth. This location is new as the old location was bulldozed to the ground. Since it is new, the building and the inside is new and modern. Service here is not good at all. I watched as my parents stood at the counter ready order. A manager and 2 employees just ignored them. They stood there and the manager was more concerned with the windows being cleaned and the floors being mopped. Over 5 minutes pass by and they decided to use the kiosk. As soon as they start to use it another customer comes in and they assist them right away. The cashier who rang the customer up seemed annoyed he ordered a coffee and just looked at him while he counted his coins and kept rolling her eyes.
