Depends. When the fries are fresh and the rest of your order is correct it's a good experience.

If you don't go during Main meal hour, you get the old stuff. Went there at 8 o'clock at night and they gave me cold french fries.

I had a double smash burger I could not taste the meat it was hard to eat it. I just tasted veggies and sauce . But the onion rings were awesome.

This place is a gem that is slightly off the beaten path in Endicott. I highly recommend a visit…read more First, let's start with the burgers. They are fantastic! For me, they are best eaten with limited toppings and no sauce. I'm not a huge fan of their burger sauce but others seem to like it but if you leave the sauce you get the full flavor of the burger and seasoning. I recently had to make a visit with a group to that place where there are nearly half a dozen guys that make burgers and as a test, I tried eating it the same way I'd eat it at here and discovered there was absolutely NO flavor. The best way to find out if a place makes good burgers is to eat it plain with little to nothing on it because if they are covering it all up with add-ons, they don't have a good burger, they just have cooked meat. TKC doesn't need the sauce but it's there if you want it. Better yet, they are reasonably priced and less expensive than any other burger joint in the area. (We are talking GOOD burgers here, not the fast food chains but even then...still probably cheaper.) Second, they have a fantastic hot honey chicken sandwich that has a lot of chicken on it. It is fried perfectly and the hot honey adds just the right touch of sweet and spicy to give it a wonderful flavor. Finally, sides of onion rings and fries are all done perfectly. I think personally the onion rings have the WIN here but either way you can't go wrong. Oh, and they have ice cream! That isn't the highlight for me, but they have a decent selection of flavors and are reasonably priced. My choice is the non-dairy cookie dough and peanut butter (I think I have the flavor right) and it tastes great. This place seems to always be busy and the owner is always cheerful and friendly. Do yourself a favor and make a visit and in the process support a wonderful local business! You won't regret it. P.S. Adding this - I've taken multiple people here over the past few months and not had a single person disagree with me on how great this place is. So, while the review is mine, I'm quite certain my family and friends would give the exact same 5-star review here.

Recommended by my…read moreson, we stopped in on a bust Friday night and felt as if we were walking into a roadside biker bar. And yet... Our host, server and actually all of the employees were super frinedly upbeat and attentive in spite of the place being jjam packed. There was music playing from a jkebox, but in the main dining room it wasn't too loud. And I was glad that we were seated there becuase we had a great view of the lake. We would have enjoyed the patio, but it was especially chilly for mid-May. Anyway, on to the food and drinks. Cocktails were good and not too sweet, draft beer was fresh. Steamed clams were on point. Salads were crisp and fresh as well as creative. Entrees were amazing and even the fries (which to my mind are usually an afterthought) were excellent. Other than some tight parking and a somewhat loud dining room, it was a great experience. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. The chef is top notch.

Service was friendly and food came out quickly. I had potato pierogies and a beet, arugula and goat cheese salad, both very good. They do have a number of vegetarian choices. They also have breakfast on Sundays. Will definitely be coming back for the lake views in the spring.

We sat at the bar which is typical and had the absolute best experience with Emma, the bartender, who was big as a barn pregnant, but looking very cute. Emma was personable, knowledgeable and very engaging. We really enjoy the conversation, food/beer experience. I had the tacos and hubby had the grilled cheese with a cup of the soup of the day, all was very tasty!! Beer was very yummy! Should you happen upon Utica, NY, stop by Nail Creek Pub and Brewery, it's a great place to take a load off and have a local brew, great service and conversation. Say hey to Emma, unless she is giving birth to her baby.

Any other time, if you are not a regular, this place might not be for you. I've been here several times with mixed experiences. The last time I was there was a Thursday in the summer of 2024. My husband, brother and I were excited to find seats at the bar and order dinner. The bartender was a short blonde woman and there was a male bar back. The bartender did not acknowledge us for over 15 minutes. We were actively looking at the menu on our phones and talking about what we wanted to try and attempted to make eye contact with her as she walked by us with no luck. She didn't even say "I will be right with you", literally no interaction. She was very friendly with everyone else around us seeming to know exactly what they were drinking and happy to get it for them. We left as we felt very unwelcome there and ended up having excellent service down the street at Lukin's.
