I don't eat McD's like before so I stopped in and ordered from the app. I tried the Spicy McCrispy with fries and unsweetened tea. It has been seriously upgraded to compete with the Chicken Kingdoms out there for sure. It is close to those too. The bread is so soft and tasty. The chicken is not processed. We stopped by on a hot day for some ice cream. It looked like there were plenty of people working in the back, but no one available to help at the checkout. While you can order using the kiosks, we couldn't quite figure them out and selected "pay at register." We ended up waiting almost 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us - or the person in line ahead of us. The lack of customer service was really disappointing, especially since there was no one in the drive-thru at the time. On a positive note, the store was clean, which we appreciated. This location is absolutely unacceptable. On 8/30 at 5:30 a.m., we pulled into the drive-thru, which clearly states it opens at 4:30 a.m. Despite this, there was no response at the speaker. When we pulled up to the window, we saw two employees laughing. We circled back around to try again, and they still refused to serve us. It was clear they heard us the first time, because when we drove back around, they commented on what we had said. This means they deliberately ignored us and chose not to provide service. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Employees who treat customers this way should not be working here. read more

My boys wanted breakfast form McD so off we went. The drive through line is a terrible design and forces major delays around the parking lot but that's a different story. We paid and got food quickly. I appreciated that this location used less packaging and actually had paper plate bottoms as opposed to the plastic ones I've gotten at the Bradley location. To me McDonald's is McDonalds, the food and service is consistently good. This location in Orcutt is a good location and every once in awhile I'll stop by to get a quick snack for the drive while I'm working. The only thing I don't like is location setup, well, it's not McDonald's fault but it's a pain during rush hour to get in to the drive-thru or parking lot even if your not going to McDonald's. I go to McDonald's pretty frequently and it's usually pretty good, but they can sometimes be a bit slow with food and get your order wrong sometimes. I don't really like the interior that much compared to what it used to be. They also don't do refills, which honestly sucks. I remember getting 2-3 refills while I was there. I'll start with I try to avoid going to this McDonald's at all cost which means I only go there once or twice every 6 months. It seems to be consistent that their employees and managers have attitude problems. Find it interesting the owner only comments on good comments and never replies to the negative comments which seem to be very abundant. When going into the lobby you never see an employee unless they're bringing food out they won't ring you up so I'll tell you to use the kiosk you can't get free refills this place is a joke. Rude no parking available fast food is not fast especially when they have you pull out front and start serving other cars before your car even though they pulled up after you. This morning, I received the most amazing display of customer service that I've experienced in a long time, from any business, anywhere. I pulled into a mobile space due to a longer drive-thru line, and as luck would have it, my ability to navigate the mobile app was put to the test. One of the employees stopped by my car and asked if I needed assistance. I sheepishly explained my ineptitude, and said I was going to get in line for the drive-thru. She smiled and said, "Not a problem! Give me your order and I'll take care of it." Wow. Ordered the Travis Scott burger and 10 piece spicy nuggets via drive thru. After paying they ask you to park to wait for your food. The Travis Scott burger is pretty basic to be honest haha. And like another reviewer said, they didn't even include the BBQ sauce so make sure you have that before you leave! Nothing too special flavor wise so I would not recommend it. But the spicy nuggets with the Mighty hot sauce is good! It was super crispy with a nice kick. Definitely worth a try. read more
