I have never left a review on a place in my life, I only created this yelp account to leave this review. Me and my Dad arrived at McDonalds at 8:30 pm, on a Wednesday. We planned on going in to get two ice cream cones, or, a one minute task for any employee with a brain. We walk up, slightly behind the employee running out curbside pickup orders, and are suddenly stopped when he turns around upon walking through the doorway. This blonde twink smirked, slammed the door in my face, locked it, and pointed to the sign that says the dining room closes at 8. Which isn't a big deal, but there was no need to do that. So, rather than wait in the packed drive through, we mobile order two ice cream cones for curbside pick up, and just wait to intercept the employee when he runs them out. 10 minutes go by, no ice cream. So, we just let him know that the ice cream cones that were mobile ordered are ours, he acknowledges it and moves on. Another 10 minutes, no ice cream, rather than assist in preparing food (or make two ice cream cones) the employee proceeds to bring the four "drive thru" signs to a different part of the parking lot. We're annoyed at this point, it takes a minute to make ice cream cones. Another woman walks up to the door, tells him she waited 30 minutes in the drive thru and they forgot her fries, and he retrieves them within two minutes. So clearly, he's ignoring us. We ask about them again, he comes back-empty handed-and tells us to go through the drive thru. Go through the 30 minute wait drive thru? For two ice cream cones? Are you kidding me? Are these employees mentally slow? He goes back inside, and next time he comes out (not the closet! shocking!) it's out the door on the side as to avoid us. Are you serious. How do you outright IGNORE people who have been waiting thirty minutes for two ice cream cones! So we left, empty handed, thirty minutes later. We were not going to be held hostage by this McDonalds over $2 any longer. Instead, we went to Dairy Queen and it took 5 minutes in total. The Dairy Queen by Brooklyn V's is my goat, it's never let me down. In conclusion, do not go to this McDonalds, the employees must be a part of the Ticket to Work program. I went to McDonald's on December 10, 2024 at 4 PM and black girl at window giving food out was so extremely rude!!!! I asked if I could get some ketchup before parking to wait for food and she just told me to go park. Then I told her why I wanted it early hoping she would understand and she just screamed at me to go park in parking spot number three then handed me 1 packet of ketchup. Asked for more she yelled at me again. I can't even believe I got yelled at for asking someone to just do their job or over ketchup. It seems like getting upset over something as small as ketchup might be a sign that they're having trouble managing their emotions. I'm worried about how they might react in a more serious situation. I wrote this review as soon as I got home. I was in Queen Creek and decided to try the $5 meal. The drive-thru line was backed up so I went inside to order. I ordered at 7:05pm and waited and waited along with a bunch of unhappy customers. I finally got my food at 7:27pm. I told the female manager (I didn't get her name) that my order took 22 minutes. The filet of fish, even though they say the size hasn't been changed in decades? It didnt come close to the edge of a regular cheeseburger size bun and was SO thin. The worst part still was the apple pie. How can that go wrong you wonder? It wasn't even cooked. COLD, the dough was cold. Not cold like it sat out for a while. One Star is a great rating for the Queen Creek McDonald's on Maya Rd. - I want to be sure I have the correct location. In general, what's to complain about? Usually nothing, until you ask for service from "Jessie" - and it really takes alot for me to complain. After getting a drink I didn't ask for at the drive thru, I ran in to replace it while my husband waited, rather than sit in the long line. Big mistake. According to Jessie, I should have been happy to replace the diet drink with a regular very FLAT drink. I had no idea my polite request would be inappropriate. She glared at me, and snapped back, "I know it's broken" when I told her about the ice machine being empty or broken. If she couldn't take the flat drink from me (maybe understandable from a health standard) ALL she had to do was say that. This is a regular McDonalds. The food is no more and no less any other McDonalds. The service was definitely lacking, even from the assistant manager. However, Nevaeh was so pleasant and helpful with our big order for 12 people. She really made up for the lack of customer service given to us by the assistant manager with the green braids. The Assistant Manager completely ignored my Dad when he asked for a wet towel to wipe down a dirty table. He asked her twice. She wouldn't make eye contact or acknowledge him. New management and employees are badly needed! The place is a shit show. Employees are not sanitary! The food runner who brings the food to the curb side waiting and the drive thru waiting is the same person who takes out the trash without washing their hands before bringing you your food. The runner does not read the receipt and takes your food to the first car they see parked, allowing that person to dig thru your food bag with the hands to figure out it's not what they ordered, then that runner brings that food bag to the next car. I've been here twice in the past 30 days and never had a correct order. The first order they missed a burger completely. The second order they gave me items not even on my order so I said something. They corrected it but once I got home I realized they'd given me regular cheeseburgers instead of doubles. This McDonalds used to be great the first years they were open not the case anymore. The lobby is filthy. Quite often it is closed. They are always out of fountain drinks and ice cream. They also get their drive through orders wrong 1 out of 3 times we're there. I hope the owners of this place need to get there and work with their employees to get this place up to par. read more
