Word gets around, and once you visit, you understand why. The staff here deserve particular recognition. There is a young man with a moustache who works the floor with quiet competence. He is attentive without being intrusive, and he knows the menu well. Even more impressive was our server, a redheaded young woman whose name I believe is Kaia. She was genuinely warm, unhurried, and clearly takes pride in her work. This is not something you can train into a person. She simply has it. The food is very good. The burgers are made with care and the portions are honest. The fries and onion rings are prepared in house, and you can taste the difference. Nothing on the plate felt like an afterthought. For families, this is an excellent choice. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are patient with children. In summer, the patio is particularly pleasant. It catches the Oregon sun well and has a comfortable, unhurried feeling that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Redmond is lucky to have a place like this. We will certainly return.

I said you couldn't pay me to eat more. Rule of thumb if you work for somebody, you better get some cheerleading training and be excited about both answering the phone and telling people about your place, and your offerings. At the very least you shouldn't plan on that as a business strategy. $15 should get you a pound and a half if not, 2 pounds of nice spicy hot crawfish with corn and potatoes.
