I sometimes work late at the hospital and tonight I decided to pick up food before I went home. I always get pretty rude service at this McDonalds, but it's the last restaurant open till midnight. I pull in the drive thru at 11:40 and was told that the restaurant is already closed even though the posted hours are 12, midnight. A district manager really needs to step in and hire new staff that wants to work and are not cutting the night short because they don't want to make food at the last 20 minutes of the night. read more

I had the worst experience I've EVER had at a McDonald's here the other night. Came in with my family. Service was slow, but it was busy. People were waiting on their orders for at least ten mins. The kids were starving so we approached the counter... no greeting, nothing. Just a "what to do you want?" The cashier (some young black girl) had an attitude, kept getting the order wrong. Finally we paid and got our drinks... no sweet tea. Went back to the counter to ask for sweet tea, the same cashier who was leaning against the counter said they were out. I asked when more was being made and she said she didn't know. We settled for soda and Finally our order is called... ten minutes later. Of course, it was wrong. My son is allergic to dairy and we asked for a hamburger, got cheese instead. Husband got the fish filet meal but was given two old bay filets and no fries. We asked to speak with a manager and we could barely understand her. We tried explaining, mentioned the bad service and wait. She refunded us and we ordered our filet meal. When it came out, same thing... two old bay filets, nothing else. My husband was annoyed at this point and said they got it wrong again and the manager tried arguing. food came out quick, everything was right, service was friendly but when I went to the bathroom and one the employees came in after me and finished before me, he didn't wash his hands, sorry but that's gross. like you're handling our food and sometimes your fingers would touch the fries when you place it in the bag. read more

Shameful. 6 minutes for a small strawberry shake. 4 of those minute spent looking at our shake on the counter inside the drive thru window. Another customer walked up to the window to ask for fries she was missing so we took the opportunity to ask for our shake. The employee said nothing to any of us. Terrible. I understand staffing issues happen, unexpectedly busy happens but customer service can make all the difference. I hope the owner reads these. read more

WORST!!!!!! And I do mean WORST McDonalds experience EVER!!!! Waited 31 minutes for a large fry! That's all...a large fry!! I placed my order at 10:29. The fries tasted as if they were from the day prior so I requested new fries. I was told to pull to the yellow line. I did! By 1040 the doors were locked but the website states closing at 11. This place has lost so much business tonight. I counted at least 6 car loads of people pull up and get out only to leave because it was NOT 11 but they WERE closed. After waiting so long and not being able to enter the building I had to drive back through the drive thru to get the fries. When I arrived at the drive thru the girl called out the order for the next car. I told her no I was the person she told 30 minutes ago to pull to the yellow line, she walked off and I heard someone say "oh I forgot." She probably forgot because she was in such a rush to lock the door 20 minutes early while I'm sitting waiting didn't phase her! So I finally get the fries. She said I put 2 apple pies in the bag for your wait. I said I don't eat apple pies but I'll take that cone in your hand....keep in mind I've watched her make this cone WHILE I'M WAITING!!! She said oh this is for the next car. I handed her back the pies. WTH happened to customer service!!!!!???? And you wanna know what makes this story hilarious????? 5 minutes in the drivethru for only half of the order that they got wrong. Went inside for a refund (of 20 dollars)and the right food, and the manager was nice enough, however, the cashier next to him went on loudly questioning why the order wasn't right, and then another employee whispered to her the reasoning as to why they got the order wrong, presumably too rude for her to be comfortable with me hearing her remarks. When the server came out with the other half of the wrong order, my family refused them and were met with a rude comment of "well you ordered this(the wrong thing)" Absolutely horrible customer service. The worst McDonald's I have ever eaten at. They microwave their biscuit and gravy. The last one they melted the plastic container and the biscuit was so hard you couldn't cut it with a knife. On a different note their lunch and dinner is a lot better. read more

I'm writing this review from the car while my husband drives on I-95 north. I've never gotten a meal and immediately wanted to write a review, but this time I needed to! We had a simple order at the drive thru ... 2 fries, 1 cheeseburger, 1 quarter-pounder with cheese and NO onions. The quarter-pounder had onions, the cheeseburger was lukewarm, and one of the fries was ice cold. At least the last order of fries was almost hot. We didn't discover any of this until we were back on the road and it was too late to fix it. We are 4 hours into an 8 hour trip home. read more

I live in the area and go to this McDonald's at least three times a week. Went there today on lunch break and will never go again. I was the first of only two customers in the place and had to call the cashier away from playing with the drink machine so she could wait on me. She didn't let me finish my order before she told me my total and acted like I did something wrong when I told her I wasn't done yet. After giving my change she just walked away. I had to call her back for the cup for my drink. She said I was supposed to get my own cup. I had no idea of that. When my food was put on the counter and my # was called I was short an order of fries. I had to call someone to get them. Got back to work and saw that I was short a sandwich. I went back for it and they were very rude. Even the manager had a terrible attitude. McDonald's in Ruther Glen was very unprofessional today and I would not advise anybody to leave there without checking out everything. It ruined my lunch. I don't appreciate spending my money to be treated that way. If anybody else experiences this, please complain. read more

Stopped here on a road trip to FL. The bathrooms and the inside were relatively clean. It was hard to find where the line for the registers started due to the group of four people crowding the counter talking to a friend of theirs who was working. Also watched the manager cut off a customer so he could offer some freebies to a family member. Took forever to get up to the counter and order. Not a very friendly staff and a lot of noise in the back. The order was correct and the food was normal McDonalds quality. read more

Never been so disrespected in my life!!!! EMPLOYEE CALLED ME NIGGER!! Came in drive thru 10/13 impatient girl on speaker very rude at first window....waited 15 mins for food....told girl at second window about rude other girl and wait she got attitude said we're busy. my two kids were in the back hungry and upset. Gave me cold fries closed window...no thank you bye or anything. checked big mac had no cheese and onion when I asked for no onion. my son's happy meal was missing a toy. Honked horn and she rolled her eyes opened window and said YES??? told her fries were ice cold and they messed up the burger and there's no toy. cause of her attitude I asked for manager she said I AM THE MANAGER. She snatched food from my hand closed window. Waited 5 mins more....finally she come with food fries were still cold I asked for fresh fries AGAIN and as she close window I hear her say STUPID NIGGER. I was so upset I drove away in tears!! my son and little girl heard her and were upset!! husband call store hour later got hung up on by a man! Coffee and sausage biscuit ($2.50,) gave drive through window a $50 bill received a receipt for a tendered $20 bill and $17.50 change, but received $37.50 in change. Obviously the drive through cashier was asleep on the job. Went in to address the issue, the manager says her drawer was only 4 dollars and some change over (this does not address my $10 short.) I explain that I'm not leaving until I receive my proper change, the manager scrounges up enough to make 46.86 (.14 cent shy) this was 20 mins into my coffee and biscuit drive through stop, at which point I decide .14 cents is not worth anymore of my time. Also, at which point does the manager acknowledge the error and inconvenience and comp the freaking $2.50 coffee and biscuit?!?!?! After I have to get out of the drive through and park and come in? After offering $4 (incorrect amount?) After 20 min? After shorting me .14 cents?!? NOPE...these people want $15 dollars an hour? Keep dreaming and get a damn education.
