Update July 5th, 2019: Can someone in management or corporate get this remodeled fancy McDonalds a diaper changing table? It doesn't even have one in the WOMEN'S restroom, much less the men's! What the heck? I even spoke to a crew member about it and they commented that they have those fancy Dyson hand dryers but no diaper changing tables in the restrooms which is totally weird. I prefer to come to this location because I'm sick and tired of crew members forgetting items specially at the Union St locale by the Walmart. Maybe it's the time of day that I visit but each and every time I've had great service. I gotta give these guys a hand. When I swing by in the mornings after I bring my kids to school (Monday-Friday 9-11am) drive through and in-house crew is on point. Same for the just before and after school crew (Monday-Friday 2:30-4:30). I have also be here randomly at various times of the day on the weekends while running errands and this location has been consistently better than most in Tacoma that I've frequented. They are also trained on how to handle the survey receipts when I come for a BOGO. They also know when to ask for help. Only a handful of time have I experienced any problems and it's mostly a wait time issue in drive through because they're slammed. Had the worst experience here today. Both the manager and his employees need to learn how to treat people. After asking for ice only in a cup, which was STATED ON MY ORDER SCREEN AND RECEIPT, they failed to give me just ice and when I mentioned the mix up, the employee at the window told me she could not take it back (due to COVID concerns, I get it) but I had zero room to keep an extra cup of ice water that I didn't ask for. Then she rudely threw the cup of iced water away while her manager looked and they both gave me a dirty look and forcefully handed me my cup of ice which was originally requested. Onto the food, My fries were scattered throughout my bag and there were no straws included in the bag. The sweet tea wasn't sweet AT ALL. I'll take my business somewhere else. This place is horrible. I ordered McDonalds on uber eats. I was tracking it from the store to my house and it took under 5 mins. I opened up my bag and the Sticker wasn't even place on my bad properly. Food was cold and slabbed on. Half the stuff i ordered wasn't even in the bag. I tried calling MULTIPLE times and whoever keeps answering the phone keeps hanging up. Definitely taking it to corporate. If i could drive there then I would definitely return their food. I visit this store every morning on my way to work I get the same thing everyday a sausage egg McMuffin and an iced coffee. I have had an excellent experience until today. They forgot to put the sandwich in the bag and then I called the store to let them know they said to come back the next day and get it replaced. They would not honor that. I get mistakes happen and they are moving quickly but if you forget to put something in a customers order you should get him what you pay for especially if your a regular! I never thought I'd write a yelp review for a McDonald's, but here we are. This place has the hospitality of a bed & breakfast. I was warmly greeted by four different employees. They complimented a man's shirt and made pleasant jokes with other customers. They politely checked with every table to make sure we had everything we needed. One employee was sweeping up the parking lot as we left, but she stopped briefly to smile and wave goodbye to us as we pulled out of our parking spot. Employees said things like, "Hi princess (to a little girl in a Disney dress), it's good to see you again. Did you have a good day?" and "I hope you have a wonderful weekend and that we'll see you again soon. Remember, when you're here you're family." I had never associated McDonald's with friendliness until today. Some jaded, cynical part of me kept thinking that this is a sarcastic parody. I just saw the old reviews about poor customer service, but that's the complete opposite experience from what I just had. Maybe they took those reviews to heart and are trying to be better? Regardless, these employees were all incredibly nice and eager to make our experience better. I came here today with my sister. Went through the drive thru, I got to the window and wasn't asked what sauce I want I was just handed the bag and told the sauce was in the bag. When I asked "ranch and sweet and sour?" The girl got an attitude, wouldn't look at me and went on about how they should charge for sauce. I work customer service and I know how it gets but don't make comments in front of people, but my BIGGEST complaint is when I got home, I opened one ranch and one sweet and sour. BOTH sauces smelled strongly of formaldehyde. (Yes I know what this smells like becauSe is biology class) I opened a 3rd one to see if it smelled the same and it sure did. I see why this location only has 1.5 stars. I was ignored in the second lane. I drove up to the first window and the employee's demeanor is as he doesn't even want to be here. I can tell that the staff at this location definitely works for the check and not to provide customer service or the " Golden Moment" that McDonalds strives for. On June 23, 2018 I stopped at this McDonald's for breakfast there was a long line of vehicles in the drive-thru, even one of the vehicles got tired of waiting and parked to go in. I went in and there was a lot of people waiting either in line or for their food. I ordered my food. I waited just like the next individual's before me. There were a lot of individuals who got their food even a couple others that ordered after me and another individual got their food before me. An Uber Delivery Driver came in after me got a similar meal that I ordered got his before me. The other individual that was waiting a little longer than me finally got his order only after waiting 25 minutes. I showed my order to someone at the counter and yet I still waited as they sent an order of what I ordered out to a vehicle that had ordered after me and this was 20 minutes after I made my order. I stood there for 25 minutes before my order was even made, yet several of the same food item went out the window to vehicles waiting in line. Sorry but this McDonald's needs to be SHUT DOWN for NOT handling the orders in the order for which they are ordered. The hash browns for which I received was DRY!!! Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. I first placed a mobile order on my McDonald's app, which said this establishment was open and accepting orders. When I pulled up, the cashier said they were only accepting cash, not mobile orders or card. Well I didn't have any cash, so I went home to get cash. But before I left, I asked if I could get my mobile order refunded. She said that it could take about 3 business days, but she can't refund it now because she also can't "pull the order through" to take the order now, due to the system being down. Fine. I pull back up with my cash, and now the cashier says they are only accepting door dash and uber eats orders. Which pissed me off, because they just said they were only taking cash. Anyways, I check my app and now my order is canceled and refunded....so shouldn't I be able to place a mobile order and for it to go through? Also, and this may be beside the point, I don't understand how the system update would affect the register from taking card and mobile orders (which shouldn't be related) but not cash, not to mention that I got my money refunded but couldn't place an order, AND didn't get my points back on my mobile app for the rewards that I used. 6000 points. Kinda felt like they just didn't want to cook to be honest and I just needed to eat. I didn't have any food at home and nothing else was open, I just got off a long shift, and there'snot even a gas station or grocery store to get milk. When asking for ketchup, I got ignored by one employee, then a second, then a third started putting ketchup in someone else's bag.
