It's a McDonald's so I can't say much, but I ordered a Filet-o-fish without cheese and tauter sauce; and various other meal combos. The clerk repeated the order (there was only one register open) a Filet-o-fish without cheese and tauter sauce. The order arrives without fries! How can a McDonald's not have fries ready!!! And the Filet-o-fish came with cheese and tauter sauce! The same clerk that took and repeated the order five minutes earlier, said the Filet-o-fish comes with cheese and tauter sauce. A mgr or supervisor came up, and fixed it for us. But again, how can a McDonald's not have fries ready? After finishing my Quarter Pounder the fries were ready. You can only use the drive thru, lobby isn't opened. I ordered 2 medium mocha lattes. Paid for them and went to window 2 to pick them up. I was told to pull over by the door and they would bring them to me. After a 5 minute wait I tried calling the store to find out why it was taking so long. They must have had the phone off the hook because for the 5 minutes all I got was a busy signal. The young man finally brought my order out. I asked why I had to wait over 10 minutes for 2 coffees. We stop through 29 palms and had a late dinner at McDonald's. Staff was super welcoming and helpful. They even made a lettuce wrap for me. Now I don't feel as guilty for eating a few french fries. The food came out hot and fresh. Most of all, the food came out correct and hot. Again, staff was super friendly and welcoming even though we were last customers for the evening. I noticed the staff cleaning everything up even the playground equipment. Real quality service and great team morale. We will definitely make this our go to stop when traveling through to Laughlin. read more

The worst McDonald's I ever been to in my life! I went through the drive-thru about 2 pm. The girl taking my order then proceeds to have a full fledge conversation with her two coworkers in the background over the mic. About how they laughed alike and didn't know it. My mouth dropped. Always slow with service. People taking orders are always rushing, "anything else" after EVERY SINGLE ITEM ordered. Managers always have a funky attitude when they have to handle a customer. But are more than willing to argue with you about what you ordered rather than having their employees checking for accuracy. And this is the only damn place in town ThaTs still closed! McDonald's at Twentynine Palms is located close to the eastern entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. As such, this location of McDonald's ensures that it will be a convenient pit-stop for casual tourists, hikers, and photographers interested in exploring the park. My most recent visit to this McDonald's was on November 12, 2016 and my first visit was in late 2011. DECOR APPROPRIATE TO THE LOCATION. I was pleased by the large photographs of Joshua Tree National Park, which are displayed inside this McDonald's location. Of course, observance of cultural and natural features that are unique to the location are not unique to this McDonald's -- the most striking example of this type of observance is the McDonald's located on the north shore of Oahu near the Polynesian Cultural Center. This McDonald's has a real waterfall located inside the McDonald's, not to mention the local cuisine (saimin and Portuguese sausages) that are on the menu. THE FOOD. I have been to the Twentynine Palms location during several of my 25 visits to Joshua Tree National Park. The lines at the counter move quickly. The menu is adventuresome, though some items such as the McGriddle are somewhat disappointing, since this item is just a sausage sandwich where tiny pancakes are used as bread, instead of muffin slices. The Egg McMuffin is my favorite item. In addition to liking eggs, I am well aware that eggs are a great source of protein and vitamins, such as folic acid and vitamin B12. These vitamins reduce the risk of getting anemia -- something that I do not want to risk during my usual day-long hikes, up and down boulder piles, and over flat desert areas within Joshua Tree National Park. THE COFFEE. Most important (and this is a compliment), is that the coffee at McDonald's is first rate. Typically, I order a large coffee as I know it will help keep me going during the hours of hiking that I will be doing in Joshua Tree National Park. The coffee at McDonald's is much better than that from StarYuck's, but of course it is not at good as the gourmet coffee that is served at Peet's. AMENITIES. Regarding amenities, the bathrooms are very clean and the toilets are powerful (unlike those dad-blasted water conserving toilets that have become the fashion, which are actually water-wasting because they always need repeated flushing). read more

This McDonald's is consistently one of the slowest drive thru business I have ever been to. They can never seem to alternate between the two drive thru speakers so it is hit and miss if you will be in the lucky line that day. Usually it is answer four cars on one speaker and then answer one on the other speaker. Tonight however they made me mad enough to give them a poor review. For the last three days every large drink cup I have gotten has been leaking through the bottom within thirty minutes of getting the beverage ( yes I am embarrassed to admit I drink like 10 large diet Coke's a day from McDonald's). Because of the issues I have been having with the cups leaking I asked if they could please put another empty cup under each of the drinks because the cups keep leaking through the bottom. I was informed by the manager on duty that they would have to charge me for the two empty cups. I could not believe they are charging a customer that is there several times a day and spends way to much money there (not to mention deals with the crappy service) for asking for an extra cup because theirs are defective. We are here for the first time after the restaurant is closed and are trying the drive thru. Mind you, there are 2 drive thru lanes, and we should have gotten out while we had the chance! It has been 15 min. and nothing has moved. When we got to the drive through window, the girl told us to pull up to the second window, where she would take our order. The idea of two lanes, you would think, would move faster! NO, this is definitely not the case. This is definitely either mismanaged or understaffed. Also, it's Friday night, which you would assume to expect to be busier than a week night, and management should expect more business. I stopped by here to kill some time before visiting the military base just a few miles out! I went over to the cashier-less ordering machine but I realized that there wasn't an option to order a iced black coffee. I went over to the counter and was about to order a hot coffee and get some ice but the lady helping me out was kind enough to customize my drink with no sugar and cream. We stopped by from out of town and were happy to get a hot meal and good service. It seems like they are renovating but that didn't affect our food service. We received hot and golden fries and nuggets. You can always tell how fresh their oil is based off fries and nuggets. Glad we stopped here. read more

I stopped here on a recent trip, where I have found Mc Donald's was actually a wonderful place to eat. I was so surprised that this place was so great at providing service. **UPDATE #2** My God how stupid can this establishment BE? I'm updating my review twice in one day. I didn't want to go this time since below details why I've given up at this location but this incident takes the cake for sure. We ordered our food, paid for it, got everything we ordered. Then the lady asks us if we want any sauce and my husband says "Yes, lots of ketchup packets." The lady says ok. Then she hands us our bag and we drive away. I open the bag and there's not only no ketchup packets or even napkins, they didn't even give us our sauce for our mcnuggets. Are you kidding me people. How do you forget to put the sauce in after asking us and confirming that you heard it???? Done. Just done. Don't go here. *UPDATE* Sigh. I went twice in 1 week which is different from like, never, and boy did I wish I hadn't. Ordered a simple Big Mac and had forgotten to ask for extra mac sauce so I asked for it at the pay window and she added it onto our bill for 50 cents. This McDonald's has two drive throughs and special parking for app based orders. Prior to COVID they would have busses park in the rear and the lot adjacent to it. The service is generally fast and accurate. If you are craving some McDee's you won't be disappointed. read more
