Quesabirria, house pinto beans and local draft IPA

Quaint little restaurant located adjacent to the Oasis Hotel serving authentic Mexican fare. I had their Quesabirria and it was amazing! Coupled with a local IPA on draft, it was exactly what I was looking for. Price was reasonable and the service was quick.

Very good Mexican food! My family was staying at Oasis Inn and on check in night we really don't want to drive out again for dinner so we checked out this restaurant. It's located inside Oasis Inn so very convenient. We ordered a taco plate and carne asada plate. Portions were very generous and food was really good! My toddler loved the rice. Carne asada steak was tender. It also came with some tortillas I just wish we had more salsa!

They have moved to the oasis inn. It's 2 doors down to the west. It is a much better location I think as there is ample indoor seating now. I keep getting the quesabirria tacos. I can't help it they're so good. Wifey got the breakfast burrito with chorizo. (Burrito Envuelto Con Tocino) It's deep fried and then wrapped in bacon. She loved it.

After a long drive out to Joshua tree for the night sky festival, I hopped on good 'ole Yelp to see what we could snag to eat. Options were pretty limited after 8:00 pm. Behold, Nydias kitchen in the distance. We missed the entrance and actually had to do bust a U. Parking is in a big dirt lot and it was pretty empty which made me wary. We were there and hungry so we gave it a shot. Turns out it was a good idea, while ordering , a huge amount of people came in to pick up orders to -go. I opted for their biggest burrito, of course! (It is massive! Peep the photo. It took me two entire sessions to eat) My wife couldn't decide between a healthy protein bowl and enchiladas so we got both because I always eat the leftover anyways so more for me ('tis bulking season) They also make their aguas fresca, fresh! Which is something not all places do even though it is literally in the name! I saw they do salsa de aceite as well and added one to the order. Score! Food was really good! Not amazing but really good. I do wish their meat was a bit softer. Other than that this is going to be a solid spot to eat at.

Hidden gem. Everything about this place was great. Staff were super nice, food was amazing, prices reasonable.

Dined June 30, 2024. Not open for very long, Nydia's serves classic Mexican dishes. Enchiladas, tacos & poblano chili relleno were all prepared well, especially the birria tacos. Service was timely and competent. The ambiance is open, classic black & white & chrome. It was empty when we visited, I don't think it would get terribly loud when busy. No liquor license yet, the owner hopes soon.

Nice experience. It was hard to find it. Then we realized that the premise recently moved to inside of hotel. Ambiance is standard and to our expectations for the town as Twentynine Palms. Hard working crew provides a great service. Food has to be order and pay ahead on the bar area, before we took the seat. Food was excellent. I really liked my enchilada. Portions are large. Especially soup, it was a quiet effort to consume all. Not regret for choosing it as a dinner place.

My husband, MIL, and I were really glad this place was near us. It's a tiny place in one that's connected to one of the hotels near by. If you are driving I would recommend to slow down once you get close or you might miss it. There's no indoor seating. All of it is outdoor or you can take it to go. When you walk in, it's very tiny so I would recommend only one person go in and order. Workers were all very sweet. Because we were staying close by we got our food to go. Between the three of us we got - quesabirria tacos which comes with the birria consume to dip. - Carne asada tacos - barbacoa taco - horchata - Jamaica Everything was delicious. We are glad we went and would recommend going.

Food is outstanding. Everything made to order. Best quesdillas I've ever tasted. Fresh grilled tortillas.

Do not be fooled by a Mexican restaurant in a hotel. Some of the best tacos in town. And you're supporting a local small business. Amazing.

I've been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. One of the better Mexican food restaurants in town.

Our last experience proved to be as solid as all our past visits. We always pick up meat to cook at our site or kitchen and always stop for lunch or breakfast before packing the cooler and heading east. Picked up 2 lbs of chorizo, some cheese and tortillas from the market and we got welcoming vibes and friendly customer service from the butcher and the girl working the register. The taco shop in back is super legit too. I got 6 tacos (2 asada, 2 adobada, and 2 carnitas), my wife got cheese enchiladas with red sauce, and my daughter got a bean, rice, cheese burrito. Everything was insanely good and properly cooked per usual. As others have mentioned, the tortillas are super fresh and fluffy. The enchilada sauce is some of the best red sauce you can get north of the border. All 3 types of tacos were properly marinaded and cooked to perfection. Bomb guacamole and hot sauce for the tacos. My daughter loved her burrito as well. We never drive past Kasa Market without stopping by and they NEVER disappoint!

I ordered the three rolled tacos with rice and beans. Love the fresh guacamole, lettuce, tomato's & cotija cheese on top! The menu includes the following: tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, enchiladas, tostadas, nachos, asada fries, combo plates, family pack (includes one pound meat, rice, beans, onion, cilantro, red or green salsa, flour or corn tortillas and liter of soda), catering (five or ten pounds of meat), breakfast plates and burritos. Meats to choose from: asada, pollo, alpastor, carnitas, deshebrada, lengua, tripa and buche. Nice, friendly, employees, great food, plenty of parking out front and in the back. Note; inside is a small seating area, however you can get it to go. Wish they were closer so I could visit more often!

You order at the counter and they bring you your food, (so make sure you add a tip when paying.) I heard the quesabirria tacos were good, so I got one of those, a surf and turf taco (ribeye and shrimp), and a side of rice of beans and asked to have it all on one plate. The food took 31 minutes to come out. That's the main reason for the 2 stars. The food was actually really good! Great beans. Rice was decent. Surf and turf taco was very flavorful, but it had some kind of weird seasoning on it that I couldn't put my finger on (not bad, just strange). The quesabirria taco didn't come with consomme, She brought some out when I asked for it, but it was mostly fat and I couldn't eat it. The taco was still good. Overall, ambiance was nice, quiet (one tv), food was good, the woman who took the order also seems to do everything else in the place (I know there were at least two other people there in the back). Tables needed to be wiped. Maybe it was a one-off.

Chicken in the tostada was juicy, tender and flavorful. Shells were not greasy for tostada or taquitos. Service was great although small shop so when a big group came in we ended up with an iced tea refill instead of a Diet Coke refill. Not fancy but pretty swell food. We were still full at dinner time! I'd go back.
