I visit this establishment quite often when I am feeling quite parched. The staff goes out of their way to make your visit enjoyable and assure you to come back. A member of the staff who goes by the name "Victor" constantly checks in on you and your food and service. He was very nice and pleasant to be around. The food was amazing even with the large amount of people occupying the restaurants space. The food was hot and out within 3 Minutes. The restaurant itself looked amazing with great interior design and a great layout. There was no garbage anywhere in the restaurant. 1000/10 Would recommend read more

We placed our order at the drive thru. They said to pull ahead and wait for our order. The employee brought the wrong order He comes back again and it was wrong. Finally, the third time he brought the correct order. We get home and my daughter is missing her chicken nuggets. She received the toy and fries but no nuggets. So we drive back and go inside and the manager didn't even bother to say hello and no smile. I told her what happened and she said "huh" then turned around gave us our chicken nuggets and that was it l. She did not utter one word and did not even say "sorry". DO NOT GO THROUGH THE DRIVE THRU. No, that's not a new horror movie, I'm giving you sound advice. Do not go through the drive thru of this McDonalds. I went on August 16, 2023 for dinner, and ordered a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese, large fries and a large diet coke. Paid at the first window. At the second window I was handed my drink and was told to go park in one of the drive thru spots and they would bring my food out to me. They said if the 3 right there were full, to go around to the other side. Of course, I had to go around to the other side. For the next 15 minutes I watched in my rear view mirror and saw McDonalds employees come out of the restaurant and bring food to the other cars that were parked closer to the drive thru. After a few more minutes I decided I would just call them and check on my order. I saw the phone number on my receipt and on my phone so I called. It rang and rang and rang and rang. No one ever answered. At one point I saw an employee coming towards me with a tray of food ... yay! But nope, he went to the truck parked next to me. So I'm realizing all of these cars that went through the drive thru AFTER me were getting their food and driving off into the sunset. I yelled to the employee and I told him I was still waiting for my food. He apologized and said they were really busy. I said, "Yeah, but you're busy helping all the cars that came after ME." He apologized and then did come back out a few minutes later with my order. He said the manager packed it herself and threw in an Apple Pie for me to enjoy. Okay, I'm not into the Apple Pie but it was a nice gesture. The rest of the food was great but now fast forward to today -- THE NEXT DAY .. August 17, 2023. I happened to be in the same area at the same time (unusual cause I live an hour away). I went through the drive thru again. I ordered the same exact thing as the day before--nothing special. When I got to the window I was handed my drink and was asked to pull into a parking spot again. I had to pull to the side again, which is on the OTHER side of the building (But it is marked for the drive thru). I even said to the girl, "That's what you told me yesterday and then I was forgotten". She said, "Can I keep your receipt...? ... then we won't forget you cause I'll put it right here..." Haha, we laughed and had a moment. I handed her back my receipt and pulled around the corner and parked. Well, well, what do you know .. 15 minutes went by and no food, but once again I can see employees in my mirror bringing food out to everyone else. Once again, I flagged one of them down and told him I was waiting for my food. He asked me what I ordered so I told him. (I didn't have my receipt because the girl at the window kept it). He went back inside. I gave him 5 minutes. Nothing. I drove through the drive thru lane and pulled up to the window. I held up my drink (which was now empty) and told the girl that I was still waiting for my food. She said the guy was just walking out to give it to me ... and then she disappeared for a few seconds and then handed me my food. The whole point of going to a fast food restaurant and going through the drive thru is convenience and speed. This was two days in a row--being totally forgotten. I don't know what their system is for serving people in the drive thru but it's definitely not working. I love McDonalds but I will never be going to this one again. Not loving it. read more

McDonald's has a captive audience here as there are no fast food competitors nearby, but they've actually IMPROVED over the past year. Their quality and service had always been hit or miss - with more miss. Now they've remodeled the store, just finished a major reno on the drive thru, have more staff, and usually work to get the order right. They check and double-check to make sure the orders get to the correct people. More importantly, the food itself is better. No, it isn't gourmet, but for the price, their deluxe chicken sandwich is a good buy with a large piece of chicken and soft potato roll. They get sloppy in putting on toppings, but I can rearrange them. I was there at 9PM and there were at least a dozen cars in the now 2 lane drive-thru. Waiting a bit did ensure the food was fresh and hot. I've lived near here for over 2 decades and this is the first time since they had the Sirloin Burger that I've found their quality above very mediocre. I will say the double quarter pounder with cheese is less consistent, but better than it was. Give it a try. They do seem to be doing a better job these days. read more

This place is ran terribly. The people in there must not know how to count because every time I get food, they forget with no fail. All of management needs to be fired. We discussed with 3 managers, my order and how the last one was incorrect, and the order they helped me order was still incorrect. I guess reading and counting isn't a requirement in the job description when they hire people because no one in that place is capable of getting an order correct. I go here a lot because it's literally the only option in West Milford besides Dunkin that has a drive through. Honestly, I have never had any issues. Tastes like McDonald's, Looks like McDonald's, Friendly McDonald's service. And hey, I would rather pull up and wait any day for fresh fries. Ahead one year: Perhaps it is new management (woman with long dark hair perhaps?), but this McDonald's has certainly improved. The restaurant is clean, the exterior is kept up, and the food is prepared quickly and delivered to the table as needed. During a recent visit by my grandchildren, we went several times to McDonald's and it worked out great each time. read more

This is the WORST McDonald's! I've lived in Hewitt for almost 14 years, and on the occasions we stop here for the kids, 9 out of 10 times they do not include sauce when you order nuggets. I always choose the sauce, then even confirm with the worker at the window that the sauces are in the bag so I don't have to go digging before I pull away (especially now due to COVID, no patrons allowed to enter...drive thru only) Of course it happened again this evening, I was so frustrated when I got home to find no sauces in the bag, even after confirming with the employee that sweet and sour packets are in the bag! I called to advise them how frustrating, and the person who answered was nice about it....but still. It's simple- you choose the sauce you want, they toss it in the bag! It's not hard. read more

For a fast food restaurant, this location is slower than most sit-down establishments. Forget going through the drive-thru if you want to get anywhere within a half an hour. Going inside only lessens your wait by a few minutes, but that's better than nothing. Food is typical of McDonald's, which means greasy but oh-so-yummy. Few feedbacks. Line is long most times; very slow service. Coffee lids aren't properly applied and coffee spills most times. Price of hot coffee increased without notice. Other then places charge $1 for any size coffee. But since renovation West Milford mcdonalds charges higher prices which isn't fair. West milford store read more

Family went here for kiddies when visiting over the holiday weekend. Both times the order was incorrect. Wrong order first time. Missing items second time. We're talking small orders .. two happy meals. I've only gone once when needed to grab something quick as I'm not a big fan of fast food. I ordered a cheese burger. I realized they gave me a meal by mistake when they handed me a drink in addition to the bag they just handed me. I'm not really sure how you can screw up an order for a single hamburger. Came here this morning with my sister and niece. We made a fairly small order. We were greeted well enough and the service was appropriate for this fast food restaurant chain. The order was prepared properly. I paid with a credit card and was not offered a receipt. That is a big fail to me, if pay with a credit card perhaps I want to track this expense. All transactions should be offered a receipt but especially credit cards. The GM Billy assisted with listening to my complaint while a cashier produced my missing receipt. I use to play paintball down the road from this place and they would know it from our gear! The manager would see us in our cameo and yell "paintball is out for lunch!" Meals would be hot and rather good on the amount of fries. When I'm in the area and hungry this is the place. read more

Although my star rating has not changed - I do want to make a positive comment about this McDonald's. Writing my yelp review did not make me feel any better, so I decided to write to McDonald's. I explained my experience, just so they had an idea what was going on and hopefully they would try to improve on things. About a week later (today), I got a call from the manager, Kimberly, who informed me that she was speaking directly to the employees and was deeply apologetic for my experience. She actually took the time to listen to me and explained to me the steps she was going to take to make things better. She also told me she was going to send me some coupons for me to come back and hopefully have a better experience. For that they get 5 stars! read more

I live in town and frequent this location often. Last night after a long day of work, I went through the drive thru, came around to window 2 to pay and pick up my food, and lo and behold are two kids pulled up at the window facing the opposite direction having a chat with the girl in the window. That's right, his headlights were face to face with mine. I waited a few seconds for the party to break up, and they kept on talking. He didn't back his car out of my way at all. Then I heard laughter. I then got out of my car, went up to the kid, and asked if he was going to move, and he said his passenger was getting her change. This town is full of idiot kids that don't care about anything and use the McDonald's parking lot as a hangout. Pretty sad, but pathetic as well. You always have to pull over to reserved area for them to bring out the order, because these morons are too busy texting and reading emails between orders. Hate it. read more

The people(idiot kids) who work in this McDonalds are IDIOTS. This would include the shift manager. I went there yesterday with my family- they have a buy one get one free Big Mac promotion - they charged me fo rthe Big Mac. When I brought it to the Cashier's attention she politely apologized and called the shift manager over. The shift manager gave me my money back- the WRONG amount, when I showed her, she then gave me the money fo rthe Big Mac and when I questioned her about the tax, she said I can only give you the price of the sandwich. i said, you can't do that- I paid the tax. She said if you want the tax you need to talk to the Store manager who will be in tomorrow. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT? That is ILLEGAL!! I wasn't about to argue with her over a few cents but I will be calling the store manager. Then for the rest of the time we were there if I asked for Ketchup or napkins she was RUDE.
