5 out of the 6 order kiosks were out of order when we stopped in, and we didn't know we could order at the counter because no one was in sight. The big downside of the kiosks is we were there for breakfast and didn't see an option for coffee so we got charged $3.60 extra to get upgraded to soda. While we were there a 4 person group showed up and ordered at the register since an employee had finally came out. They started ordering as we completed our order, but they got their food first. The hash browns and one sandwich were good, but the other sandwich was covered in extra cheese we didn't order and was a hot mess. If you have time to wait and don't mind getting your food after people that showed up after you then you can get a decent meal. Just check to make sure your sandwich isn't a runny disgusting mess before you get back to your car. read more

The only thing better than rest stop food (usually vending machines) is rest stop fast food. Burger King in the Sloatsburg Travel Plaza has the upper edge over the other lameduck food court eateries for being the only original fast food joint that served the classic Americana-loving combo of burgers and french fries. Service is painfully slow here. I managed to wait in line at Quiznos, watch the people assemble and toast my sandwich, and then finally decorating it while still seeing my travel companion wait in line for his order to be completed. That is just pathetic. Food tastes like one's average BK food. Fries that are overcooked, a burger that doesn't taste all that flamebroiled at rest stop inflated prices. It's only a matter of time before customers come in demanding their whoppers. read more

Stopped here for a soda. My debit card was seriously compromised by a worker who took my numbers and charged hundreds of dollars at SOLUTIONS HTECH USA LLC 956-254-1964. Burger King located in the Sloatsburg Rest Stop on the NYS Thruway (I-87 North). Typical Burger King Layout, with orders first, then you wait for your order, ticket in hand. They are usually well staffed, but it can get crowded during prime travel day meal times. Plenty of seating, and they usually keep the area pretty clean. Food was hot when served. read more

TERRIBLE FAST FOOD RESTAURANT. Went in for a quick meal and ordered just a fucking Steakhouse King burger and they did what the awful employees did what they could to make the experience as awful as possible. The cashier was very rude to me and seemed to be speaking in some sort of illegible gibberish, and after I gave my order told me the price was: edigucfedhfjqosnfifn. (Or something). I then spent approximately 5 minutes waiting for my damn food. During that time, I witnessed a manager complain about his job and how it was so busy on a HOLIDAY and rolled his eyes at the customers. ITS NOT EVEN A FUCKING HOLIDAY!!! Another manager was being rude about handing out cups and orders to a customer ahead of me, and then some dude comes up and throws a whopper down on the counter and it was ICE COLD. I don't even know if he got another burger, but the manager present threw it back at some cooks behind him. At this time I got my food and wolfed down some shitty fries, and then proceeded to devour the Steakhouse King burger that I waited so long for. I bit into it and IT HAD NO FUUUCCKKING FRIEEED ONIONS. At this point I was sick of this terrible ass BOOGER KING, and I was hungry and inhaled the lackluster burger. Service was brisk, the food was well prepared and fresh (for fast food). My son describes his bacon cheeseburger 'like biting into heaven'. For entertainment The Dr Who pinball upstairs is a must as at 50 cents for 5 balls it is the only bargain at the entire rest stop. read more
