Mexican cuisine is one of our absolute favorites, and we were blown away by the authentic flavors and warm, inviting atmosphere. This was easily one of the best places we ate at during our trip to the Grand Canyon. What we ordered: 1. Kids: Chicken tacos meal (huge hit with the boys!). 2. To Share: Steak fajitas, a fish taco, and the Nachos Supreme. The fish taco was huge and packed with flavor. The fajitas were also a massive portion--the steak was cooked to perfection, making it perfect for sharing. My husband's only minor complaint was that the nachos used a cheese sauce/Whiz style cheese rather than melted shredded cheese, but they were still tasty. To top it off, the horchata was fresh and full of flavor, and the colorful Mexican-themed decor added so much charm. Highly recommend stopping here--we will definitely be back whenever we're in the area!

We had bbq chicken wings, French fries, and fried zucchini. The chicken wings were great very saucy, which I like! The zucchini pieces could have used a little flavor. She returned with the coffee and said "You know if it gets busy...." leaving the sentence hanging. I replied I would leave if it did (the restaurant only had maybe 3 tables full at that point, by the time I left at 640 there were two tables empty). After eating the food, which was quite good, I promptly packed up and left as soon as I could 25 minutes after being seated. I walked down to Brewed Awakenings, got a coffee there and sat down at my computer to do some work. In a small restaurant I totally understand that you need to keep tables moving so there is not a wait, but there is a polite and subtle way to message to a patron that they need to move along so other folks can sit down. You can deliver the check early, ask if you are finished, ask if there is anything else you need. Ways to communicate to a patron that they need the table. This was certainly not it. I eat out often, I tip very well, but I have to say this is the first time I felt unwelcome and rushed at a place in a very, very long time. While the food was good, this was not the way to start off day 2 of my roadtrip. In today's economy, making your customers feel like they need to eat and run, and doing so in a rude way, is a master class in how to make your restaurant fail. I do not recommend this place.

The employee's tone, facial expressions, and overall attitude made it clear that we were inconveniencing her simply by ordering. The experience became so uncomfortable that I eventually stopped trying to customize my sandwich and completed the order without even choosing a sauce because I just wanted the interaction to end. What bothered me most was seeing the effect it had on my son. He is naturally shy around strangers, and by the end of the order he was visibly uncomfortable, avoiding eye contact, and clearly embarrassed by the way we were being treated. The food was fine. The customer service was not. As travelers passing through town, we expected a normal sandwich order. Instead, we left feeling rushed, unwelcome, and embarrassed.
