Since we still had some time to kill, we decided to cash in for our free large coffee for previously purchasing five and using the App. There was no waiting and we were greeted with a smile. We placed our order and scanned the App for the free coffee and she made it immediately and we started out time killing. We did not try anything else since we had just eaten and only wanted to check for a chocolate dipped cone. The dining area was quite clean and while we were enjoying our coffee, several people came in, placed orders, received their order, and sat down with no delays. At least in our experience, it seems like any other McDonald's that we have stopped at. Maybe next time the chocolate dipped cones will be here! read more

The absolute worst McDonald's I've ever been to. First off, I waited in line for about 25 minutes with 2-3 cars in front of me. The person directly in front of me waited for about 10 minutes just at the window. I ordered 2 egg McMuffins with added lettuce and tomato (like I always do with no issue) when I got home and opened the sandwiches there was... no egg? I'm sorry but since when do the egg mcmuffins come without the egg? Therefore, I called in the store and asked to speak to the manager. She responded "mmmm... speaking!" therefore I explained to her my situation where she insisted I turned around to go pick up my egg to then place into my mcmuffin. What? I was not interested in getting an egg or driving 15 minutes back out to the store, I was interested in sharing my experience and the fact that this had been a colossal and illogical mess up. The "manager" then began to get rude with me when I pointed out the mistakes and told me she wouldn't be talking to me. I asked for her name and she told me "I'm not giving you my name" and then proceeded to hang-up on me. I ended up calling corporate because I had never seen such a lack of professionalism even in a fast-food place that I don't expect much out of... but this was something on another level. This is the kind of service you will receive there and these are the kinds of "managers" that they employ. I have been to this McDonald's location on Ecorse Road, on three different occasions over the past year. Each time the new battery in my watch died before I was served my order, or so it seems. While I realize it may take a few minutes to pull a new batch of French fries out of the cooker, this place is really slower than a tortoise on downers! The most recent visit to this location as a walk-in customer was unforgivable. I really felt the poor pregnant woman who was waiting in line for her order for over 30 minutes was going to go into labor before she received her meal. She told me she was due in three weeks. However, my ordeal was just beginning. I ordered one large Big Mac meal, and second Big Mac by itself. I requested that they prepare the burgers without onions. I mean how hard is it to just remove one item from two burgers? From past experience, I know that I should always check my fast food orders to make sure I received what I wanted, and to confirm that it was done properly. Thank God I followed my instincts this time as well. My two Big Macs not only had the onions removed, but the secret sauce, dill pickles, and cheese were gone as well. So I sent had the manager look at the order, and she "Is this what you wanted." I said, "No, I just wanted the onions removed, nothing else. She said, "Ok I will remake them over again." So after waiting for just over 45 minutes to receive my order, I finally walked out the door. Thankfully, the poor girl who was pregnant didn't have her water break while she was standing in line. The level of service at this place is just plane unacceptable! What's worse it that there was a handful of employees standing in the back joking around, and having a fun time; hence, while I stand in line edging closer to retirement age before I receive my food. There's nothing like waiting in a slow moving backed up line and after 15 minutes becing told they are only excepting online orders for the rest of the night, it was maybe 9:40. They're idea of solving the problem was to half make it the third and give him some of the cash back for the items they forgot again on the 3rd try just to get rid of him. This is easily the worst Mcdonalds ever. The majority of the time I stop to go through the drive thru, wait times from start to finish are at least 15 minutes. I usually always just order a LG caramel macchiato and 8/10 times they say the McCafe machine is down. Today, I went through and order my coffee. The woman who took my order rang it in as a medium on the screen and I immediately told her it was supposed to be a LG. I got no response. Now I'm at the first window. No one was there. I waited 5 minutes before deciding to just pull ahead to the next window. The girl at this window asked me my order and I told her, A LG CARAMEL MACCHIATO. This is two times now I've said my order, loud and clear. She come back with my receipt and STILL charged me for a medium. Now the manager, a bigger white lady tries to hand me my drink. I simply told her I had ordered a large and tried to hand her the money to pay the difference. I want trying to get one over on them at all. She argued with me about the size and I told her I tried correcting it at the speaker AND the back window. Now she tells me no one ever took my order. I said "well she did and I wanted a large". She took the dollar out of my hand and rolled her eyes as she closed the window. The other girl ended up bringing me the dollar back and handed me the correct drink but said her manager told her to tell me I won't be getting any upgrades next time and I need to make sure it's right at the speaker. AS IF I HADNT TRIED TO FIX THIS THREE TIMES. I apologized to the girl and explained what happened exactly and she apologized to me. But the manager was absolutely rude and unprofessional and left me feeling like some kind of criminal that was trying to get one over on them. I tried to pay the difference. She didn't take the time to do it. Needless to say, now I'm mad enough to have took the time out of my day to write a bad review on yelp. I WONT BE GOING BACK EVER AGAIN. Didn't realize the address is Ecorse, not Michigan Ave. I have been stuck patronizing this McDonald's a few times a year for many years. It is consistently the worst I've ever visited & my business took me all over Michigan and to several states! The second worst is also in this area, the Rosenville Rd store. The problem always comes down to the staff. You would think with the terrible economic situation in Ypsilanti, the management would have a better labor pool to draw from. A huge problem is the drive through "service". Using this store's drive through window is one big Crap shoot! I try to avoid the place but out of the few times a year I am stuck going there, my order is wrong. Cream is put into my coffee when I ordered creamers & asked cream not be put in. Ordering anything different about your food brings the staff to a stand still, even simple things like no onions or no cheese, no salt on the fries. Key items get left out. I've gotten kid's meals only to find later there is no toy or fries, etc. Once one child discovered she had only fries! You would think McDonald's idiot proof system would prevent mistakes. Each step of each order is on a computer screen. If I owned the Michigan Ave McDonald's I'd use a check off sheet system where each step must be hand & pen checked off AS each step is completed. I'd have a no chatting or cell phone rule too. Of course, I am assuming the staff is clear headed enough to be able to see & read each item on a list. I would make staff Big Chief Wide-Line tablets and fat kiddie pencils. I would also not assign boys and girls together to work the drive through. They find coop work too distracting. Avoid this place as much as possible. Treat yourself and go to nearby Clucks, Lucas Coney Island or even Wolverine or Abe's. They're just a short distance away on Michigan Ave. They are owner-operated and the owners tolerate no clown show. Particularly avoid this McDonald's (inside or window "service") on Saturday or Sunday Morning. Being "served" by an unfocused person is chancy enough, an airhead with a hangover or drug infested brain & little sleep is a disaster! read more

I needed a quick meal and decided to try the grilled chicken BLT since it didn't actually seem like a total heart attack. Waited in the drive through for 20 minutes just to get handed the wrong bag by a very confused window attendant. Minutes later, he had to stick his head out the window and ask me to repeat my order, which had clearly been screwed up royally at this point. Finally he brought me my sandwich and handed me a mega-sized sweet tea, which I realized I must have paid for because the sandwich price seemed awful steep. I told him I hadn't ordered it and he was about to walk away with my bag of food, so I said screw it and took the whole mess and left. Never, ever, ever eat at this McDonalds.
