I have been "burned" by so many mechanical businesses in the RVA area in the past, and I feel SO comfortable and KNOW that I get the MOST cost-effective and friendly and CORRECT service available in VA! I did use another shop one time and found the service writer MOST helpful, friendly, kind, knowledgeable and to the point. I went back for another repair and found the service writer no longer there. I was so disappointed and didn't have my repairs done there. I went to Air Park Auto after a co-worker and friend recommended it, and there she was! My service writer was HERE (Ms. Kelly!!!)!!! SO . . . I've had much (to me, anyway) work done here, and it has ALL been EXCELLENT!! The mechanics are quick, efficient, knowledgeable and ALL the service has been that and more! Stopped by in the morning shortly after they opened with a flat tire. The manager was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. They were able to squeeze me in that tire, got two tires delivered before lunch and performed the installation and needed alignment in under two hours. The whole experience was straight forward. I've been dealing with these folks for three years now since I moved into the neighborhood, over four different automobiles, and have yet to have any complaints whatsoever on the service. They've handled anything from a simple state inspection to some basic front end work, everything is fixed properly the first time. I like that they'll text me a couple of hours later, just to make sure that everything worked out fine. And what I really love is that they DON'T try to upsell you on other work. You get done what you ask for. If they discover something else in the process, they'll call and clearly explain what is needed and why. I'm gonna be straight up, I had no sleep in over 24 hours from working a double and then another shift afterwards so I went in here a little grumpy to begin with. I was tired and errands needed to be complete. I called before showing up here and asked if an alignment could be done. The guy told me they could get it done and to bring it on in. They get it in the back. Mentioned the bubble in my front right tire and that they needed to be rotated. Or just to put brand new tires on. I agreed to get them rotated and to continue on and that I'd leave them and go get another tire somewhere else. I asked to pay and wait for my truck to get finished. Then I'm told AFTER I've paid, that I also needed a new axel and AFTER they've already completed the alignment. It was absolutely pointless for me to get it done. Money spent for nothing. My steering wheel still never straightened out and I go down the road and the death wobble was worse than it was before. I can swear I had the hardest grip on that steering wheel because I thought for sure I was going to wreck. I left this shop more pissed than I went in and went straight to my dealership with the POS. They agreed that the alignment should've never been done to begin with and it was a safety risk that it had even been done. I gave my truck up and got a brand new car. At least you guys got $129 out of me for nothing. ‍ I'd leave zero stars but I'll leave two stars for the guy at the front desk that dealt with me. read more

I'm a do it yourselfer and I always have been and always will be but there are just somethings especially with my wifes fancy SUV that I don't want to touch. So when such an issue popped up I started asking around to find a good shop that was local and that was highly recommended and Air Park Auto was the overwhelming winner. So I called and got an appointment and the staff was very pleasant and courteous over the phone, just the fact I could understand everything they said was a huge plus as mechanics aren't always know to have great phone etiquette. I showed up to the appointment expecting the waiting area to be dirty and plastered with the latest Snap-On swimsuit calendar and I was way off the mark. Their waiting room was very family friendly with a children s area with games and lots to keep them occupied and it was CLEAN!!!!! The furniture was also very clean and similar to what I have in my home and it was very comfortable and they provide courtesy beverages while you wait. These guys are very knowledgeable on all of the new makes and models as well as the old stuff too and if you are like me and just have to talk shop they are more than happy to indulge you in some good conversation about carbs and the days before catalytic converters and the new tooling they constantly bring in and train on to deal with the new fangled gadgets like tire sensors or back up cameras....They can handle it all and I will be bringing them our newer cars to work on from now on. Oh and did I mention their pricing was better in my case than it would have been to do it myself? This father and son team is just absolutely great and I think they should be at the top of your list for maintenance or repair items...you will not regret it. read more

Over the holidays, I ran over a large piece of metal that flew off of the back of a truck in front of me on a major interstate in VA. I was in a town I didn't know and stuck on the side of the road nearly 2.5 hours from home with a shredded tire. A Good Samaritan pulled over and put my spare on my car (shout out to John if you're reading this!) and he guided me to this shop. I can't emphasize enough how amazing the entire shop was when it came to assisting me. They didn't have the tire I needed to make my 100+ mile journey home but no problem- they went to go pick it up 30 minutes away to help. I waited for less than two hours as they fed me snacks and sodas and made sure I stopped panicking in the process. They were fair on pricing and didn't even think twice of ripping of a woman who was so frantic. In today's world, it feels good to know people like these still exist! Whether you live nearby or have the same unfortunate turn of events as I did, don't hesitate to go here. You will be happy you did! read more
