The food was decent. Nothing special but not bad either. Their service, however, is outstanding. Especially during such a busy lunchtime due to a convention at the fairplex. Kudos to the servers!

This was the Farmers Poached eggs I believe. Very nice.

Started off with great service. We were staying at the Sheraton hotel and they welcomed us warmly. Mentioned that they had dine-in, delivery and pick up. They also mentioned that delivery had a fee so if we just pick up, it would be cheaper which was nice to know and easy since we were staying there. Ordered two food items on two mornings with coffee. They have regular coffee and their espresso Starbucks machine allowing for more options (yay coffee fans). They also call your room when your food is ready to pick up so you can continue getting ready while you wait. They even grabbed me change from the front desk so I could break a note. Great service.

What a gem of a place! This restaurant is located inside the Sheraton Fairplex in Pomona. At first I was worried because this was really the only place to eat at the hotel and there is nothing to eat within walking distance. THANKFULLY this place is really good. I came here for breakfast and loved it. I got the Monte Cristo and added scrambled eggs to the sandwich. Honestly... probably the best Monte Cristo I've ever had! Everything was cooked perfect and the seasonal blackberry jam took it to the next level. It also came with potatoes which were good. $20 seems a little expensive for a breakfast that small, but with no other eating options, I'm glad the quality at least kind of justified the price. Definitely come here for breakfast if you're staying here.

Well, sadly we have been let down this year. Came in for a drink, as we always do, prior to going to the fair. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bar was filthy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the service was... well there was no service. Everyone was waiting forever. So much so, that we all went to the takeout side of the bar to order. What has happened? Did you not realize the fair was taking place?? Much improvement is needed.

We threw a memorable birthday celebration for my wife at McKinley Grille, and it turned out to be an extraordinary experience! Our friend Maricar had organized a reservation for a party of 20, and the restaurant's accommodation was nothing short of exceptional. They set us up in a private room that ensured we had the perfect blend of celebration and privacy. Situated within the Sheraton Fairplex & Conference Center Hotel, McKinley Grille offers the luxury of abundant parking, making our arrival hassle-free. Right from the moment we stepped in, the staff displayed a level of attentiveness that made us feel like VIPs. Their dedication to ensuring our experience was special was evident throughout the evening. Our party dined on a delectable selection that catered to everyone's palate. The Crispy Calamari (4/5) made for a delightful start, setting the tone for what was to follow. The Prime Ribeye Steak (4.7/5) was cooked to perfection, earning praise from even the most discerning steak aficionados. The Jidori Chicken (4.4/5) and McKinley Burger (4/5) offered flavorful alternatives, each leaving a satisfying mark. The Farm Raised Atlantic Salmon (4.1/5) showcased freshness, and the House Special Chicken Wings (4/5) were a hit with everyone around the table. The Caesar's Salad (4.2/5) was a classic choice that didn't disappoint. The diverse selection meant everyone found something to savor and enjoy. Our birthday dinner celebration was an absolute success, thanks to the combination of delectable dishes and the impeccable service that we received. The staff's attentiveness added a layer of warmth to the occasion, making us feel cherished throughout the evening. The restaurant's interior, being part of the Sheraton Hotel, is nothing short of upscale. The decor exudes sophistication, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, as the restaurant and restrooms were immaculate. The restrooms, in particular, were spotless, meeting our expectations for a high-quality dining establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend McKinley Grille, especially for large gatherings. Our experience was top-notch, and the staff's attention to detail truly made the evening special. As we left, we couldn't help but look forward to returning in the future for another exceptional dining experience. I picked up some food to go from this grille while staying at the Sheraton hotel and needing a quick dinner one night! The turkey club sandwich was delicious! Totally hit the spot and you get to choose what side you want- I opted for a salad, which was also delicious. The bread was so fresh and the veggies were crisp! It was packaged up in a container and bag for me to take to go, which was nice for carrying to my room. I noticed several items on the menu that looked tasty, so would recommend giving them a try! The waitress taking my order was friendly and served me a glass of wine while I waited for my food to be ready. Definitely a convenient place right in the Sheraton hotel.

My review is based on two experiences. 1. Dinner - Overall service was very good. Server was prompt and attentive and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I had the McKinley's burger which was really good! Nice and tall burger that tasted great. Your side is a choice of fries, salad, fruit or sweet potato fries. I ordered sweet potato and it was good! Reasonable price for the plate at $20. 2. Breakfast - It is a buffet style breakfast which had offerings of eggs scrambled soft (plus to me, I don't like overcooked eggs), pancakes (really good!), seasoned potatoes, bacon, veggie frittata, and sausage (did not like at all, it's really dense and I have no idea what it is made of). The beverage service during breakfast was a lot different than dinner. The server took our drink order but completely disappeared. It was a good while before we hailed down a manager who helped get our beverages. The breakfast buffet is a bit pricey - about $28/person.

Came by on 1/15/2023 after spending the afternoon at Pomona Fairplex for the Asian Expo. With the rain coming down wanted a nice sit down place to chill and have dinner. This place popped up with openings located in the Sheraton Hotel. Parking is easy and free. We were greeted by the staff and Priscilla who was taking care of us. Priscilla at McKinley's Grill is truly amazing. She made our dining experience truly wonderful with her professionalism and friendliness. It was like connecting with a friend we hadn't seen in a while. Her manager, Brandon, should be proud as she is a true asset to the restaurant. Her great attitude and demeanor are a testament to the great workplace, leadership and company that McKinley's Grill is. We highly recommend this restaurant and specifically ask for Priscilla as your server. She raved about the deserts and even have a flourless chocolate cake. Very LA. We're looking forward to coming back and having desert and other meals.

We came for breakfast on a Saturday and the restaurant was quite empty, but started filling up a little more around 9/9:30am. The host was quite apathetic, but our server was very friendly and happy. I ordered the French toast, but it was very dry and bland. My husband got the eggs benedict, which was good! I also got a pumpkin spice latte, but it tasted mostly like warm milk, with little coffee flavor or spice flavor.

The champagne is more like prosecco, and I don't prefer so many places calling it champagne as a marketing gimmick if it's not actual champagne. The beef ribs, prime rib, and chilaquiles were great, while the shrimp, crab legs, fajitas, and most of the salad offerings were very poorly executed. I'd advise to take a little of each to find what's good so you can freely enjoy the subsequent rounds. I like the ambience here - I can see the potential of a nice dinner setting by the windows but during the daytime, it makes no difference where you sit - additionally, lighting is poor if you sit by the window during the earlier daytime. I like the mining theme which is all spread out around inside and outside the restaurant. Service is okay - some flagging down is required but requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.

When we checked in, we specifically told the staff that we were celebrating my father's birthday. Unfortunately, no one acknowledged it or made any effort to make the occasion feel special. We weren't expecting anything extravagant--just a simple "Happy Birthday" or some small gesture would have shown they cared. We were also seated at a long communal-style table. The host told us that once a smaller table became available, they would move us. However, when one did open up, our server refused, saying they couldn't move us because they had already started taking our order. That explanation made no sense. Restaurants move guests to different tables all the time if it improves the dining experience. To make matters worse, when we asked if there was anything they could do for my dad's birthday, we were told the kitchen had closed at 9:00 p.m., so there was nothing they could do. There was no alternative, no apology, and no effort to make up for it. It felt like the staff simply didn't care that we were celebrating an important family occasion. Overall, the lack of hospitality and customer service was extremely disappointing. Special occasions are an opportunity for restaurants to create memorable experiences, but instead we left feeling ignored and let down. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Gosh this will be a very difficult review to write. First…read morething is first, this is an interesting restaurant with a tradition of cutting ties. If you will venture out this way, wear an ugly tie for it to be cut. I was fortunate to witness this and yes, it was fun. Wear a tie. The restaurant is nestled in an area surround by the hill and shrubbery. Not much around the location. There's an outdoor waiting area, a small waiting area indoor, OR you can wait at the empty bar while you enjoy some beverages. I highly recommend going to be bar if the wait is long. The service was great. The waitress checked on us and made sure everything was okay. Now to the most difficult part, the food. This establishment, compared to other older steakhouse, is doing something different. They are attracting younger folks to continue this tradition. Majority of other steakhouses are not bringing in the younger crowd, and this will adversely affect them when their customers start to move on to a different life. The first thing that comes out is complimentary bread. The bread is just bread. Taste like a thick wonder bread. There's a brown slice and a white slice. The bread is very dense and it is just bread. The butter is airy and whipped, which compensated for the plain bread. I understand that the slice is traditional in the past, but gosh, it is so plain. Throw some honey in the butter or serve corn bread or some other bread. I would rather not have the bread unless if I ordered BBQ to make a sandwich. Next came the salads. The salad is your typical garden salad but with grape tomatoes and croutons. Per the waitress, the dressings were made in house, with blue cheese as their popular choice. Beans came out next. Man, think of pinto beans with Oregano juice. Gosh, it was different but utterly meh. If they have been serving this recipe for so long, I guess people like it. I ordered the "angus" ribeye, where my girlfriend ordered the cow girl steak aka T-bone. Not sure why they would gender a steak as most men would not order a cowgirl steak. The ribeye was not tough and cooked well over their famous fire grill. The T-bone was a bit tough. Majority of the poor reviews complained of the steak being plain. Well, steaks are meant to be indulged without any sauces and as it with seasoning when it's cooked. Some people enjoy this, but not all. Objectively, I can see why no sauces are offered. I understand why they have regulars and the way they do things is meant to be what I mentioned, so it should be respected. This is why I gave it a 4/5. I do think they should offer sauces on the side. Whether it's made in house or from an A1 bottle. Bottom line, some people like sauce. This is something you should experience, and something that you should be the judge of. It's an experience and it's a long standing restaurant in the city. Lastly, for godsakes, it was very warm in there. The heat was almost unbearable.

The bottomless mimosas ($29.99) sound like a great deal, but just know how they run it. There's a 90-minute minimum, and they don't bring a bottle to the table--you get one mimosa at a time, and you have to finish it before they'll bring another. The first one I got tasted like straight orange juice barely any champagne. I sent it back and to their credit, they remade it much better They mentioned they control pours to keep the environment in check, which I understand--but if you're expecting free-pour vibes, that's not the case here. Food-wise: French toast & breakfast potatoes were really good However the Chilaquiles were super dry and lacked flavor--wouldn't recommend Burger & fries were decent, but nothing special As for drink pricing, it does lean a bit on the higher side. bucket of 5 beers was around $42, $15 for a Tito's vodka shot, and even a basic Jack and Coke came out to about $18 with tip, which felt a little steep for the area. the best deal was definitely the green tea shots at only $9 I will say, our waitress Priscilla was great. She had a lot of tables and seemed a bit overwhelmed, but she still made an effort to check on us and kept my mimosas coming pretty promptly. I didn't have to wait long at all between refills, which I appreciated. Since we went for a special event, the DJs were great and really kept the energy up the whole time Parking was easy. It did say there was a $2 fee, but when we printed the ticket, we weren't charged--so it might be free, but I'd still double-check at the kiosk just in case. Overall: decent spot for the vibe, music, and brunch outing, but just be prepared for controlled drinks and slightly higher prices.

We were the only table that wasn't a couple, and even when it got more crowded, the noise level was pleasantly low. Our server asked us how we felt about salt, which was very much appreciated. AMARETTO SOUR: 3/5. Very sweet, and orange-forward which is a new flavor profile for this cocktail for me. BREAD & WHIPPED BUTTER: 5/5. Served warm. The bread was pillowy soft, and the butter, (which was more air than butter and therefore definitely zero calories), was delightfully salty. BRUSSELS SPROUTS: 5/5. I've been burned by so many poorly done sprouts that I don't order them anymore, but my partner wanted to try it and I'm so glad we got them. Zero bitterness, and crispier than an newly minted dollar bill. OCTOPUS: 5/5. Grilled to perfection, soft, not rubbery. The spices in the romesco sauce were aromatic and punchy. STEAK TARTARE: 4/5. Good. These crostinis were the most crostinis to have ever crostinied. The perfect vessel for the rich steak. MUSHROOM SOUP: 5/5. This is the first time I've found balance between being truffle-forward without being overbearing. Usually I'm done after about two spoonfuls, but all 3 bowls (shared between 6 of us) were cleaned. SURF & TURF: 5/5. Owen's checks internal and external temperature, which means steak is cooked true to the way it's ordered. More impressive is that they didn't overcook the lobster. A moment for the gorgeous blue plates; they are heirlooms, and only 7 of them exist in the world. CHILEAN SEA BASS: 4/5. For me, the radish did a lot of heavy lifting in balancing out the saltiness of the soy vinaigrette and richness of the fish itself. STEAK FRITES: 4/5. Again, perfectly cooked steak. I only had one fry, and I thought it was a damn good fry, but my partner did say it eventually got salty. And he loves his salt. CAMPING TRIP: 5/5. The crust on the salmon, the theatrics of the hot rock, the fresh veggies. It's a classic for a reason. MAITAKE MUSHROOM: 4/5. While it was good, I didn't find myself continuously reaching for more, as I nearly always do with mushrooms. ROBUCHON POTATOES: 5/5. AKA indulgent, buttery velvet. A labor of love well received. STRAWBERRY TART: 5/5. While the strawberries were phenomenal, the vanilla (?) custard was a little heavy for me. My mom inhaled it though. CRÈME BRÛLÉE: 5/5. So good. I don't know when it became normalized to serve crème with an Ozempic-thin layer of brûlée, but thank you Owen's for not doing that.

I ended up in the corner, which was a perfect spot to enjoy the atmosphere and do a little people watching. They have a great happy hour and daily specials. The guy next to me ordered the Wagyu burger, and it looked incredible. The fries were huge quartered potatoes that looked just as good. He said everything was amazing. My server, Clint, recommended the Fidelity red blend. I'm usually a Pinot Noir drinker, but this was a great choice and paired really well with my filet and lobster tail. The steak was cooked perfectly, the lobster was excellent, and even the drawn butter was served at the right temperature. I finished with the peach tart for dessert, and it was delicious. I also met Anthony, one of the owner's sons, who was making his way around the restaurant checking on guests. Both he and Clint were friendly and attentive all evening. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, my daughter's $47 entrée contained a metal wire bristle from a grill/cleaning brush. Thankfully, she noticed it before swallowing it, but this could have resulted in a very serious injury. To the restaurant's credit, the manager came over promptly, apologized sincerely, and handled the situation professionally. We appreciated that acknowledgment. We also chose not to make a scene or demand anything because we understand that mistakes can happen. What disappointed us was how the situation was ultimately handled. When our bill arrived, my daughter's entrée was actually charged twice. We had to point out the duplicate charge to our waiter. When he returned with the corrected bill, one of the duplicate charges had been removed, but the remaining $47 entrée--the one that contained the metal wire--was still on the bill. We were then told that my daughter's dessert had been made complimentary. While we appreciated the gesture of the complimentary dessert, it seemed to fall well short of what would have been appropriate given the circumstances. A dessert does not compare to paying for a $47 entrée that contained a dangerous foreign object. This review isn't meant to criticize the quality of the food, it was outstanding. It's about the response to a significant food safety issue. I believe most guests would expect that a meal containing a metal wire bristle would be removed from the bill without question. Instead, we left feeling disappointed that the resolution did not reflect the seriousness of what had occurred. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident and that the restaurant reviews its food preparation and grill cleaning procedures to ensure this doesn't happen to another guest.

Wasn't busy when we walked in and when we left there were quite a few people waiting to place their orders. Not sure if they are short staffed or just not adequately staffed but there was one employee taking the orders and making the food. Gotta give it to the guy working because he still offered great service. We ordered a steak bachi-rito and it was good. Not much steak for the price $17 and the seared ahi tuna entree. Food looked ok at best. Rice wasn't your typical friend rice. No egg or veggies or any other protein for that matter. Little skimpy on veggies but they did have good flavor. I wanted to love my seared tuna but it lacked flavor. Thank goodness for their sauces which were great. I slathered my tuna in their ginger sauce and garlic butter and it's exactly what the food needed. This place certainly has potential. I will certainly try this place again perhaps not so late in the day.
