Now we have emergency,…read moreour boiler stopped working in the middle of the night and it is well below freezing outside. I'm currently 9 months pregnant and after several hours of no heat and it getting much colder, we called Tag. They said they they only come for emergency if you're an existing/loyal customer. No where on the website does it say you had to have used them before to get their services. In fact, the website says "24-Hour Service When You Need It The Most". It's one thing to be busy, or not available. It's another to decline a service just because we are new to an area and in need of help before our pipes freeze. Helping us out in this tight spot would have made us loyal customers. Don't say you offer 24hr service when you clearly don't. I will never call this company again.

I feel I was "jipped" into buying a very expensive part that didn't require replacement. The technician said "most likely" the aquastat switch is bad. He was never able to prove 100% it was bad. It's a $400 part. $200 at Home Depot. He swapped out the old one and it did not fix the original problem. He could not find out the problem and had to call out his manager to come to my house for help. Come to find out there was a break in the line from the thermostat to the boiler. Which caused the boiler not to receive the signal to fire the boiler and start the circulator. So naturally if there is no signal from the thermostat to the boiler nothing is going to happen. I'm convinced that the original aquastat switch was fine and I paid for a new part that didn't require replacement. So, that being said, if I'm a technician I'm checking the most obvious and cheapest problems first before switching out one of the most expensive. **UPDATED** So once again, I'd like to say that the staff here are very accommodating and do care about their customers. I'd like to send out a special thanks to Sean and Scott who has been to my house twice now for the same problem I was having and fixing it. That being said, the original problem wasn't solved the first or second time, but the third time it was. They had replaced the control switch the first time and I still had problems. They found a break in the wiring from inside the wall from the thermostat to the boiler. They fixed that. After installing the control switch and fixing the break in the line I continued to have issues. Another tech by the name of Scott came out again and made a slight adjustment on the Hi and Low temp setting on the control switch. My problem was the boiler was firing, but there was intermittent power getting to the circulator, which resulted in no heat being transferred to the baseboard heaters. I, myself verified this and troubleshooted the problem and had to explain a 3rd time to Tag that the problem is in the control switch that they replaced the first time. Sean came out within a couple hours and checked out the whole system and replaced the control switch again. Now the heating system works as it should. In the end there were no extra charges and I think a lot of this could have been avoided when they made their 2nd trip out to my house rather than a 3rd and paid more attention to detail at the problems I was having in the first place. The switch is an expensive part to replace, but things to fail out of the box an I believe this could have been solved a lot faster.

Heads up. First off I don't write reviews but I think others…read moremight want to be aware of my situation. The past four years Heritage cleaned my furnace every, every, fall season. We decided to go with a different company this year which by the way we are very happy with. This new company ask me if we ever had our furnace cleaned because there is easily four years of dirt and junk inside. (He explains it never ever looked cleaned). They ask twice because they really couldn't believe it was cleaned last year or even the year prior. So that being said, If you want to pay some good amount of $$ and not have the job done then Heritage is your place to go. Second we got a quote from Heritage last year to get a new 40gal water heater replaced. The cost was 3X the amount as others that I got quotes from. They tried their sale pitch to add additional things to the water heater. I wouldn't trust this company and very glad we switched. They get commissions for the sales they make.

I've already left a review about the three gas leaks Heritage left in my water heater pipes. This…read morereview is about the inspection I paid $204 for back in February 2025. The technician said he scheduled it and that it may take a few months. On August 11 I finally called the town and no request had ever been made. That's another lie in addition to Heritage telling me in June that the air handler in the attic was broken. There is no air handler in my attic. The first technician who came to assess my air conditioner left the company and it took three phone calls from me for them to finally tell me he left right after my appointment two weeks earlier. So then they sent the guy who lied to me and didn't charge me for another assessment. Why should they charge me for two assessments? It's not my fault the first man left and they didn't inform me during the 100-degree heatwave and I ended up not having air conditioning for three of the hottest weeks of this summer.
