Had the worst experience in 50 years at the Fowler and Ashlan location. I ordered my pizza like I always do, on line and pay for it online so I can just go in and not be bothered with cards at the restaurant. When I got there the server said I must see your credit card that you used....... I told her I did not bring it - I paid on line and the transaction was complete. She told me she could not give me my pizza without showing her the card. I asked her to get the manager - the manager was NO HELP at all and actually quite rude. My only option was to go into my phone and show them the card I used on line. The manager told me that it was clearly stated on their online process that you need to bring your credit card. THAT IS NOT TRUE - I WENT BACK ON LINE WHEN I GOT HOME AND NO WHERE DOES IT SAY THAT. when I got home the pizza was also not up to Me n Eds standard at all - All the ingredients where in the middle of the pizza and the 2 inch border of the pizza was just sauce. Well it seems to be sometimes we get a decent pizza here and other times we get a sloppy thrown together pizza with extremely minimal toppings. This evening we ordered a pizza with the mobile app and I picked it up. Very minimal toppings that were mostly on one side. It's like it was handled roughly in and out of the oven. It was cut in a strange manner and the bottom crust was all cracked up so when you tried to take a slice it came out in broken pieces. No consistency at this location. It was my first time here. My new favorite place for my cheesey bread addiction. We arrived around 6 pm on a Sunday. Amptophere was good. The place was clean. Bathrooms were clean. That's a major plus in my book! I'm not sure what's up with some of the bad reviews, but this is my new to go pizza place when I want to endulge in pizza heaven. My 18 year old son and husband were very happy and completely satisfied with our meals and service. The food was on point. They were fast and attentive. We are usually prepared when we place our order for any red pepper flakes, ranch or parmsean cheese ect, the staff asked anyway to make sure we had everything we needed. I'm not surprised they have such bad reviews. I ordered delivery (not through doordash) and couldn't call to tell them they messed up right away because I had company. I called a few hours later and reported the messed up pizza, and they were not very apologetic. She questioned why I didn't call right away and it was five hours later (not even the next day, relax) and I find this hilarious - they wanted the old pizza back. It's honestly sad that they make their poor delivery drivers pick up the 5 hour old pizza (essentially trash) and take it back to the store. I have been coming here for decades. I have always ordered a personal pan pizza which was a small round pizza. They added a new square pizza they call a personal pan which they do not warn you about when you order. The pizza crust was so soggy and undercooked i could not eat it. My mother could only eat the toppings on hers. I called to check on this and since i did not want to wait another 40 minutes for a new pizza the manager hung up on me mid sentence. No longer going to be a customer here and will make sure i pass it along to everyone i come in contact with. So rude. read more

Me N Ed's used to be great pizza... USE TO BE! I got a pepperoni pizza to go from the Fowler and Ashland parlor this evening. It took 30 min to get the pizza. I was absolutely shocked when I got home, opened the box and then tasted the pizza. It was the worst pizza I have ever had. If there was any cheese on it, I couldn't find it. The crust was little more than a piece of parchment paper. The pepperoni was so thin that you could have read a newspaper through it. It was a total waste of money. I grew up eating Me-N-Ed's, I love the chain. But this particular Me-N-Ed's is terrible. Way over priced and they are very cheap about putting ingredients on their pizza which causes it to taste like junk. The inside is disgustingly dirty and they never clean the floors or tables. Did I mention they are overpriced. Some of their staffers are rude, they are definitely not happy about being there. BC's pizza is nearby, I would absolutely, 100% encourage you to goto BC's for a completely opposite experience. This place is solid and always busy. The crust isn't as crunchy as other places but it isn't terrible either. Me n Ed's in general is a Central CA anomaly and is my forever favorite pizza. The cracker crust is unique and amazing and I can't imagine it any other way. read more

We are regular customers, my gentleman and I. Decided to enjoy pizza and the salad bar today. We had a great pizza, and I had two servings of salad. During our meal one of the workers came over and told us it was only one trip to the salad bar. I have never heard of this before, and numerous times that we have been there, we saw several people go back more than once. Not to mention when my gentleman told the manager he hadn't been able to eat due to a serious illness, he just smiled. You would think after telling a manager that he would sympathize and not only that, he sent his worker tito tell us about the salad bar. That is cheap. A salad bar is just that. Me and Ed's is known for family run pizza place. My reason for being here today was a birthday party. They provided table space and the food. I really love me n Ed's pizza but you must eat it when its hot. Once it becomes cold it becomes dry fast! The service was fairly decent. There's a large TV in the dining area so the game is always on. There was a nice turnout but not too many people. The cooking area is open so you can see the whole process from the Dell from the topping to the pizza being put in a office. They also serve alcoholic beverages and wine. However due to the occasion of my best friends first child's 1st birthday, no one was drinking. I imagine that would be changing after all of the other kids eat up all of the candy they provided. Let's just say, you're better off going next door into vons and getting some wings from their hot food section. Just consistently bad. Crust is paper thin, pizza is always cold- even when you been in the store and waiting for it- which makes no sense, employees are shamelessly rude, terrible customer service and no apologies, even when it's their fault. Probably the worst Me N Ed's taste -wise in town. They always somehow lose our reservation when we try to make one. It's just obvious that the management has no control over the customer service their employees provide. Sad b/c it's a good location and a nice store. Literally everyone in town (including the employees at the other Me n Ed's we went to) know it's a crap shoot location. This location is so disappointing. We have tried coming here multiple times and it doesn't even compare to the Tollhouse location. There family night is a joke. The movie they play is only in the bag were there are currently 2 men drinking. All the families are in the separate area. When you say something to the girls up front they just shrug and say yep. I'm not sure there are even any management or people over the age of 20 that work here. They have 2 board games and those two are missing many pieces. The menu is totally different than the other Me n Ed's, the wings only have 2 sauces and they don't toss them in it. You just get it on the side. I don't write many reviews, but this is my first time back to this location in about a year & the same girl did the same thing that made me not want to come back. The pizza has never been bad, but like most reviews, their wait times are awful. Especially in person. I try to only order online to avoid talking to the girl on the phone. If you've ever had to wait in line, the girl who answers the phone is incredibly rude & rolls her eyes with everything the person on the other line says. Every answer has some attitude in it. It's the one thing at this location that I can't believe I've seen happen multiple times, a YEAR apart. I watched her pick up the phone and say "Me-N-Eds" then just put the customer on hold without telling them. As someone who has worked in customer service, it's excruciating to watch. Especially while you're waiting in line to pick up your food watching her roll her eyes every 3 seconds. Not the most welcoming environment. I think a non customer facing roll would be better suited for her strengths. Avoid the trouble & order online. read more
