My family and I are in Dallas for a few days on vacation from NY and we were craving burgers. Looking for a kosher steakhouse in Dallas, Meat Point came up and the reviews looked promising. We ordered angus and wagu burgers and steaks that came with a small salad and french fries, as well as an order of onion rings to share. Everything was AMAZING!! The burgers had that hard to get char grill and were so tasty and juicy. The rib eye steak was grilled to perfection and the Denver steak came with a great wine house sauce. The dessert "menu" was the server bringing over a platter with all the dessert options to show us and describe what each item was. We were pretty full but everything looked so good that we decided to share a couple of desserts. Again, the dessert was AMAZING!! Service was very friendly, our water was refilled multiple times, and the management came by to check if everything was okay. We were all so pleased with the meal that we hope to go back to Meat Point one more time before heading back to NY. As the wife and Mom of my crew, I know how hard it is for EVERYONE to be in agreement about anything, and especially about food. Meat Point scored a 5-star rating from all four of us. Really enjoyed my lunch here today. This place has lots of potential and a welcome addition to the kosher dining scene in Dallas. My Orthodox friend was in from NY and we usually only go to Aderet. Went there last night (it was good) but I think this place is better. First of all, better space. It is less cramped and has a few booths. They are working on the space and upgrading. A work in progress. They have a sushi bar going in and a small food store on the other side. The menu has many more choices. Obviously with a name like Meat Point, lots of meat dishes, but also standard items like schnitzel. I enjoyed the upside down falafel which has a crispy pita shell on the bottom, a layer of hummus and falafel on the top. Garnishes are off to the side. The vegetable soup was also delicious. For my entree I decided on the burger. Have been on a burger kick largely. Bad habit. This burger was good, but I was disappointed that I ordered it rare and it came well done. Flavor and texture were still good. Not greasy at all and served on a homemade bun. They had an 8oz and 12oz. I had the 8oz and it was big, especially with the sautéed mushrooms and onions on the side. I also had a fried egg on the top and avocado. Lots going on. Wish it were rare! We had onion rings and fries on the side. The fries were thick cut. Not my favorite. I like The shoestring type. The onion rings were very good. They brought us a couple of complementary homemade pastries for dessert. Nice touch. And the other homemade cakes looked great in the case. Forgot to mention the homemade bread on the table. Delicious. The service was great. Our server, Michelle, was extremely helpful and the food was served quickly. Kosher is not a requirement for me. This place is not a compromise and serves up some great food at reasonable prices, with BIG portions. read more

Has an amazing meal of the meat plate for 2. Lamb chops, steak skewers, pargiyot, beef kebabs and a side order order of schwarma. Lamb chops were cooked perfectly and flavorful. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium, while the pargiyot (chicken) was seasoned perfectly. Israeli salad was very good and very fresh. Rice was ok, I miss the rice with sautéed onions that the restaurant once served. Washed down w a Heineken it was an excellent meal with a close friend I don't get to spend nearly enough time with. read more

DO NOT ORDER THE Trios al Fuego. Literally the worst value for your dollar. $25 for three sliders sounds like a good deal...not here! They claim each is 4 oz (of Lamb, Veal, and Beef), but they clearly shrunk to inedible sizes. Taste was lower than average (the buns clearly overwhelmed the meat). I would not recommend that dish. And when I complained about the portion size, I was told that that's just how it is. Forget "customer is always right". And to top it off, they built the gratuity (18%) into the bill, so I had no recourse to express my dissatisfaction (no refund offered, no substitute meal...nothing). Previous occasions have been good (human size burgers are very good, as are the beef fajitas on Thursdays). I was just extremely disappointed in this visit that I may not re-patronize. read more

my wife and I ordered one appetizer (falafel) which was delicious. however that was the only nice part of the experience. i asked to see a manager because i had an issue with my bill and the waitress told me the manager on duty didnt speak english. therefore he didnt come to my table to speak to me ( so unprofessional) so I ended paying the full amount of the bill. I asked the waitress to tell the mananger to call the owner. and she said he said he didnt wanna bother him at 9pm. ANYHOW the food was ok the service was really bad. read more

This restaurant is a huge disappointment. All 4 people in our group ordered the 12 oz rib eye (a whopping $46 per meal). I ordered mine medium rare, but it was brown on the inside -- not red, not pink, but brown. To make matters worse, the server forgot to bring the side dish and I had to wait for it to come. So if you want a thin, over-cooked, over-priced steak, then this is the place for you. read more

I went to meat point in my last two dallas visits and really enjoyed the food there. I had the tahini kabob and their falafel and they were both delicious. The service is great and the portions were to my satisfaction. If you like kosher and Israeli food I recommend you go there and if you've never tried it, that's the place to start. read more

The hummus really is some of the best I've had. The rib steak was just ok; the flavor of the meat was good, but it was overcooked (I requested medium rare and it was medium well). It seems like the negative reviews on this page are all from early 2014. Something must have changed since then, because my two visits to Meat Point this past July were spectacular. The Black Angus burger is the best I've ever had, and the 12oz Ribeye was tender and delicious as well. The place is clean and spacious and the ambiance is just right. I had two hamburgers, the shwarma special, and the portobello burger over four visits, and every time, the food was fresh tasting, well-portioned, and delicious. The french fries are also very good. If you have children, you should note that the kid's hot dog comes with pita, not a bun, my son was fine with that, but not all kids would be. At every visit the staff seemed a little confused and overwhelmed, but my order always came out correctly and in a reasonable amount of time. read more
