We ate at Meddy's on Maize Road (New Market Square) last night, and it was the first time we had ever experienced Meddy's before. We did go right at the busiest time, so comfortable seating was at a premium, we finally had to sit at the raised tables with no back chairs. We found our table, and then went back to the counter to order. The ordering was somewhat easy. I would only suggest to the cashier/order taker. This is a very busy time, and the noise level was quite high. This is not the time to practice your "library" voice. You need to speak up to be heard, and then everyone, not just the old guy here, could hear what you are saying. Food came out very quickly. Both my daughter and I had the rice bowls. I had the lamb which was perfectly seasoned, a little dry, but very good. The Tomato/garlic/onion relish was delicious. My daughter's steak was a little more generous, but it was not as well seasoned. Yet there was quite a lot and she had plenty to take home for her "midnight" snack. Besides the chairs, which may look stylish, and probably was designed to not be comfortable so that the tables would turn quickly. There was no worry, as the staff on the floor made it their mission to hurry you along. The food had just been sat down when we were asked if we needed a box. We told them we had just started, in fact I hadn't taken a bite yet. She returned with a box and asked if I was ready for her to take my plate. I had had one bite by that time. This wasn't just the one floor person, there were about three circulating and they all were trying to push us out. Our decision is if we were wanting a dinner and conversation we had better forget that as we were timed like a high school lunchroom. read more

This was just absolutely PHENOMENAL! I stopped in on a whim and got the garlicky chicken. I cannot say enough about my experience. Warm naan bread with olive oil and seasoning on the table. And everything on the garlicky chicken was great and palate cleansing. The skin and cook on the chicken was the best I've had at a restaurant in my lifetime. All for under $20. First time eating at Meddys and I was super impressed! I got the Big Bowl w/Beef which was absolutely delicious! Huge chunks of beef that reminded me of kabobs. Grilled veggies on steamed rice with a sauce on everything that is soo good! I need to ask what the sauce is next time I go. They bring you pita bread to dip in oil with herbs as an appetizer. Ordered on the app..The app is confusing thought could order veggies and chicken on the kid bowl as you could order double meat. However, thought ordered chicken kids bowls and could add veggies for extra, but when I got home only had veggies and rice. Could not take the bowls back and exchange..had to pay extra for the chicken which is like paying for an additional kids bowl and drive back for the chicken. The app is VERY confusing and will not order on it again. read more

Once again this Meddy's location impresses me. I ordered the Meddy's plate with lamb and my son ordered there Chicken Shawarma wrap. The food was extremely fresh and has lost any flavor. This is one of the places to get a very delicious and healthy meal. The only drawback is the prices can be a little expensive, but overall I really enjoy eating at Meddy's. read more

A friend and I ate at Meddys on Maize in Wichita yesterday for lunch. We both ordered a side of 4 falafels. They were horrible. I think that the oil they were deep fried in must have been old, used up, and rancid. Disgusting. I should have just dug the insides out and left the outer skin. Instead I ate all of them and felt kinda sickly afterwards but did not get sick or anything. Will not go near that place again. read more
