FOOD WAS SUPER AMAZINGGG, first came to wichita and asked for a food rec and this was first suggestion. Boy o boy it didnt let down, fresh food tasted amazing and cooked perfectly. Never had good Mediterranean food before this.

Meddy's is great, and is one of my family's go to restaurants for when we don't feel like cooking. We've got 4 children under the age of 3, and my 2 year old twins are in a very picky stage. The mac and cheese at Meddy's is a reliable takeout meal that we know they'll eat. Tonight was a very bad experience. In the middle of dinner my oldest twin started gagging and choking on her dinner, and I see something long and stringy in her mouth. I pulled out a 2-3 inch piece of plastic wrap, that was halfway down her throat. As you can see in the image I've attached. I called to let them know, and the manager was nice but flustered on account of my toddler almost choking. She said she'd take my information to make things right, but she only got my first name. So who knows if they'll make it right. Regardless, we're very disappointed with tonight's visit to Meddy's.

Stopped at Maddy's after a long day of driving and wanted something that was fresh and nourishing. We had never tried a lot of the menu items and had a hard time choosing because they all sounded so good. I was very pleasantly surprised to see all of the different allergy options (gluten free, dairy free and more). The service here was awesome, the staff were patient and knowledgeable in answering our questions. They truly seemed excited to serve us and just chat! When we got our food we were quickly realized how delicious everything was. While we were eating we had several people come and check in on us, which was so nice. We also learned that this location was the original meddys! Super welcoming and chill atmosphere here, I would love to come back!

If I lived in Wichita, I might have to come here every day. We are headed to town and spending a couple days here and chose this place based on the menu and the recommendation that everything is healthy. You order at the counter and they give you a number, and if you want something from the bar, go separately to get your drinks. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday and they had a happy hour going, yay! Happy hour is from 11 to 6 every day of the week, so that is absolutely awesome. Hubby ordered the half salad and half soup. He said the tomato soup was absolutely amazing and ate every drop of it. The sides salad was a Mediterranean salad and he added the protein choice of chicken, he said this was very good as well. They bring you a complementary Pita , and give you a little bowl for the olive oil, which was also fantastic. That pita was warm and I will think about that for a very long time! Fabulous! I ordered the citrus salmon with a side of veggies and I'm literally trying to deconstruct the veggies so I can make this at home. It was comprised of roasted yellow and green squash, as well as red peppers, tomatoes, Red onions that had been caramelized all in olive oil. It is a huge portion so I'm taking half of it home with me. Excellent meal- the salmon was also cooked perfectly and had some type of pesto sauce on it as well. I had a glass of wine and hubby had a beer and the total expenditure was less than $50. It's one of the best meals I've had in quite some time Service was friendly and super prompt!

It was only myself at the bar in the beginning, the bartender Catilin was more focused on herself than the 10 minutes later greeting me. As you see ordered a soup and salad but all came at one time. Eventually, my food was cold. Emily took over the bar and the service improved. Their was one lady who I told was the most attentive person before the crowd came in. Cute blonde lady at the cash register but she checked on everyone. Let me add Catilin wasn't doing nothing and three people were waiting to order drinks while Emily was preparing an order, those people walked out. One bad seed cost them an easy $100 bucks. If you bartender get the drinks out immediately. The food wil be fine once I heat it up in the hotel

My favorite local chain Real Food cooked fresh! The beef and veggies spiced to perfection, I could eat it once a day every day.

Got food from here a week ago, so I prob don't remember everything, but I got the "succulent chicken" shawarma. Food was awesome, and it was 3 things that shawarmas usually aren't: thin, crisp, and STABLE. God bless. And the garlic sauce j tied it all together. Food came out within 5 minutes, workers were all nice, and the place also had Sobe, which imo is reason enough for 5 stars. Also shared a few bites of my dad's salmon. That was pretty good too, esp with the tabbouleh on top.

I ate here three times while in Wichita. The first two times were very good. The lentil soup is outstanding, tabouli very fresh, the baba ganoush - very authentic, hummus -- super creamy, well done. The shwarmas wraps are good (had both the lamb and falafel), not mind blowing, but good. The last time was a bit sub-par. The last meal just was pita chip / dough overload. The meal needs to be more balanced. The photo says it all. I explained my sentiments to the manager and she just shrugged. They had some nice live music go accompany the food. I believe they have live music Wed-Sun. Nice touch. I enjoyed the music, the ease of ordering (with option for full service at the bar), and the overall reasonable value.

This was my first time to Meddys, as I live in Austin and was here on business. I'm of Lebanese heritage and I have been taught how to cook many Lebanese dishes, so this may be a bit critical. Overall, the food is clean, portions are large, service fantastic, and I highly recommend a visit. I saw a menu on Yelp before I visited, and so I knew I wanted the sampler plate. However, that menu is no longer valid, and I am attaching photos of the current menu in April 2024. All of the dishes are lacking salt, so that is good from a health point of view, but just know that you might need to add some. The tabouli is freshly made, but is light on the bulger wheat and I would add about 4x as much. Also, it is missing the lemon juice, so ask for 5 or 6 lemon wedgies plus salt and pepper. The small pita breads are awesome as is the hummus. The lentil soup was so much more than just lentils, and it actually seemed like a veggie lentil stew. Very nice. I also ordered a lamb sharma wrap that was perfect, with strips of onion and diced tomatoes. Awesome. Here is what they are missing: stuffed grape leaves, they don't exist here; kibbeh balls are not here either. So, while Meddys misses on the lack of stuffed grape leaves and no kibbeh, it makes up in ambiance, friendliness, and food flavor. One of the servers told me there are 5 or 6 other locations now. I recommend that they offer the stuffed grape leaves and kibbeh on Tuesdays. Y not? read more

I dined here on a recommendation from someone who went to another location in Wichita. The food was absolutely amazing! I got the Hummus Stacked Bowl with beef and the portion was so big I only had half, taking the rest to go. The restaurant is nice; you order your food and find a seat, then your food is brought out to you. I stopped by a few weeks later and ordered a Meddys Main Plate and enjoyed it just as much as the previous visit. read more

This place will not make substitutions if you have dietary restrictions, they will not do it. I cannot eat gluten, naan, or any kind of raw veggies right now and I am also a vegetarian. On the falafel platter, they used to let you sub white rice instead of the pita/naan and the salad that the falafel come on top. The manager would not allow it to happen, he wanted to charge me a extra $4.00 for the rice although I would of gotten them to serve it without or I would of throw the salad and pita away. The side of pita cost's as much as the rice plus the small salad+side pita= cost's more than a side of rice. That makes zero sense, I would be saving them $ but ordering rice. Rice is one of the cheapest things to serve in a restaurant, I have worked in them. I asked for the girl to add up the price of 4 side's it cost's $ 20.00, and the Falafel platter plus rice was $20.00. You can go a fancy sit down restraunt for that price. This place sucks now, do not go if you have dietary rescritions and you wanna pay fine dining prices. read more

Every time I come in I'm reminded why this place is my favorite middle eastern restaurant in the US. Tonight I was surprised with the most pleasant live music absolutely not too loud. I also noticed a Bob Ross instructional on a monitor in the restaurant that was calming. the server who brought my meal was the most welcoming, warm and friendly server I have had in a long time. He made me feel so special just by his manner and bringing is a piece of bread before my meal, without my asking. I'm middle eastern- and impressed every time. Thanks Meddy's- your my "one thing" every time I come to Wichita... Update- not even 12 hrs later and I'm back lol. What the heck are they doing to these employees that they are all so dang happy to work here??? I encountered 4 Meddy's workers during my lunch here- seriously outstanding staff! chicken big bowl & the shawarmbaa from meddys downtown you can get any big bowl with your choice of protein (we got chicken), served on rice or veggies (we got both!), with a tomato-onion relish sauce! we also shared the shawarmbaa: juicy lamb stuffed pita with lettuce, onion, peppers, and tomatoes dressed with tzatziki. if you're looking for something light and a place to drink and blackout in, meddys downtown is the cutest space! good drinks on tap (like boulevard beer tank 7) and amazing food! service was always quick. i always appreciate when they pre-bus tables and keep everything so clean! be sure to tip! read more

They have the best Hummus in town and their pita chips are so crispy and fresh! Plus, they've made it super easy to order online and I love their curbside delivery. food is always good I've literally never had a problem coming here but I'll probably use a different location in the future. my order total was 32 and some change I called ahead for a quick pick up. I put 2 dollars and the change In the tip jar and the 5 in my pocket. As I'm walking out the door a worker stops me and accused me of taking a/the $20 bill out of the tip jar. even after I said I would sit and wait for them to check cameras and lifted the tip jar with $20 still inside he had a shitty attitude and waived me on somehow doubting I didn't take it. Never in my entire life have I been accused of stealing money from a restaurant after paying them for my food and tipping. No sorry or anything near was said by any worker. Instead of walking away and waiving me out the door or whatever he was trying to do he should've owned up to his shit. 3168410450 read more

Meet the Business Owner: Alex H.

Alex Harb opened the first Meddys opened in 2014 with a Chipotle-esque, urban-fast-casual aesthetic, topping the menu with shawarma wraps. In October of 2016, he opened a second location and, based on feedback from customers, designed what he hopes will be the prototype for his chain. His goal is "500 Meddys across the country."

When I first walked in here I was a bit confused. Before you seat yourself, you're suppose to order your food first, it's like a fast food restaurant style with a bar. I thought it would be more of a traditional restaurant where you get seated and have a server. It's not bad, and the place looks really clean and nice. We got our food pretty quick. I ordered the garlic chicken. It was delicious but the food was not hot, it was warm and got cold quick. Overall the atmosphere was good and the food was good and I would come again. I was wondering if the raves about Meddys were true and just last week I finally found out that they were. There are many different options for people but I was able to order something and they were flexible enough to allow a sauce substitution. The garlic potatoes were so delicious. The wrap I had was enough for leftovers the next day. I was really impressed and grateful that they helped raise funds for Jenny Wood. Now I know I'll be back based on the delicious food. read more
