This was my first time to Meddys, as I live in Austin and was here on business. I'm of Lebanese heritage and I have been taught how to cook many Lebanese dishes, so this may be a bit critical. Overall, the food is clean, portions are large, service fantastic, and I highly recommend a visit. I saw a menu on Yelp before I visited, and so I knew I wanted the sampler plate. However, that menu is no longer valid, and I am attaching photos of the current menu in April 2024. All of the dishes are lacking salt, so that is good from a health point of view, but just know that you might need to add some. The tabouli is freshly made, but is light on the bulger wheat and I would add about 4x as much. Also, it is missing the lemon juice, so ask for 5 or 6 lemon wedgies plus salt and pepper. The small pita breads are awesome as is the hummus. The lentil soup was so much more than just lentils, and it actually seemed like a veggie lentil stew. Very nice. I also ordered a lamb sharma wrap that was perfect, with strips of onion and diced tomatoes. Awesome. Here is what they are missing: stuffed grape leaves, they don't exist here; kibbeh balls are not here either. So, while Meddys misses on the lack of stuffed grape leaves and no kibbeh, it makes up in ambiance, friendliness, and food flavor. One of the servers told me there are 5 or 6 other locations now. I dined here on a recommendation from someone who went to another location in Wichita. The food was absolutely amazing! I got the Hummus Stacked Bowl with beef and the portion was so big I only had half, taking the rest to go. The restaurant is nice; you order your food and find a seat, then your food is brought out to you. This place will not make substitutions if you have dietary restrictions, they will not do it. I cannot eat gluten, naan, or any kind of raw veggies right now and I am also a vegetarian. On the falafel platter, they used to let you sub white rice instead of the pita/naan and the salad that the falafel come on top. The manager would not allow it to happen, he wanted to charge me a extra $4.00 for the rice although I would of gotten them to serve it without or I would of throw the salad and pita away. The side of pita cost's as much as the rice plus the small salad+side pita= cost's more than a side of rice. That makes zero sense, I would be saving them $ but ordering rice. Rice is one of the cheapest things to serve in a restaurant, I have worked in them. I asked for the girl to add up the price of 4 side's it cost's $ 20.00, and the Falafel platter plus rice was $20.00. You can go a fancy sit down restraunt for that price. This place sucks now, do not go if you have dietary rescritions and you wanna pay fine dining prices. read more

Every time I come in I'm reminded why this place is my favorite middle eastern restaurant in the US. Tonight I was surprised with the most pleasant live music absolutely not too loud. I also noticed a Bob Ross instructional on a monitor in the restaurant that was calming. the server who brought my meal was the most welcoming, warm and friendly server I have had in a long time. He made me feel so special just by his manner and bringing is a piece of bread before my meal, without my asking. I'm middle eastern- and impressed every time.
