Daily outages. We are forced to use this company. When we call for any sort of refund for our service and outages, they treat you like you're lying. HORRIBLE Customer Services. I've been with the company for over 2 years and two different homes on the account in Apache Junction. I called to see what we could do about the prices and was talked to horribly and treated like I was a bother. This service is some of the most unreliable I have ever encountered. The internet speeds are good, however you will have almost daily outages that vary in lengths. Customer service is nearly non existent past the sign up stage. They will have plenty of people available to lock you into a contract so don't worry about that. However, should you need any assistance you will be left all alone in a maze of phone directory's. Stay clear of this company if you have any ability to find another service. read more

Up for awhile then Down again. Being a long term customer, throughout each week for many years this cable internet and tv service has constant issues. Not reliable at all. Way too many outside construction problem and inhouse isp disconnects. My modem and connections up to the pedestal are working fine. You need to buy more server stacks and line amps. Too bad there aren't any other providers out here. I may quit this service and use Starlink and T-Mobile soon. Many RVers use multiple internet connection methods. read more

Today I drove a neighbor lady into the Apache Junction Mediacom location. She has had ongoing issues with her service for the entire last year. Many text messages and phone calls have never even came close to resolving her service. They have been out to her house more than monthly. Shes gotten nothing but a runaround. Today the person behind the counter treated her extremely rudely. She told her that -- If I were you I would have come in here when the problem started. Mediacom sent out a tech for a new Internet install. Tech said I was too far from the street and mediacom would install a plant extension and he could get my Internet hooked up. Fast forward over two months later I get a call from mediacom wanting $1,300 to pay for the plant extension to provide service for my side of the neighborhood. I'm not paying for them to expand their services to other people just because I live in a "rural" area 1,000 feet out of city limits. They know they are the only provider out here and they try to milk you dry knowing that. I'll never spend one cent on mediacom services. read more

There has been an ongoing issue with the 1GBS Broadband service in my Apache Junction, Arizona neighborhood. For the past two months, or longer, I have been paying for 1GBS download/60MBS upload speeds. However, I am only receiving between 500GBS down/40MBS up. A technician came to my residence and checked out the system, and the Mediacom/X-Treme connection box for my street. The problem lies in the Mediacom/X-treme lines coming into the street-side box. The ticket was escalated to maintenance. However, over a month has passed and no correction to the service. I'm frustrated at being told, "...it will be looked at when we have a maintenance crew available...", by someone in another country. I want local customer service and I want this fixed. All I ever receive from X-Treme is the runaround. This was not the case when I first moved to the area in 2017. Bottom line, Mediacom's customer service STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN! Your company may be HQ'd in Schaumburg, Illinois; however, get your act together in the other areas you serve. If I had options... I would change, and do so immediately. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service at the Apache Junction location yesterday May 2, 2023 and followed up by extremely nasty and rude young man on the phone when I called customer service. I attempted to return my elderly parents (ages is 88 and 90) cable box and remote - I was rudely told by the lady working that she could not stop the service since my dad was not with me - she wanted to know his drivers license number and I explained to her that he does not have a drivers license any longer - it was revoked a year ago - so I offered to bring in his passport but she said that would not work, she said she needed him to come in which is ridiculous - he's 90 years old and he can hardly walk and she insinuated I that I could be a scammer - I have nothing to gain by this - all I wanted was to turn off the service and for her to send them a final bill - there's nothing hard about this. She gave me a business card to call customer service and a receipt for the items I returned. I left and then called the customer service number that she gave me a business card for and that was followed up by an extremely rude customer service guy who hung up on me after I told him what was going on. My advice is to anyone with the elderly parents in Arizona to not use Mediacom because they will most likely be put in the same situation --- unbelievable ------------- there are so many snowbirds out there and they have to have a better way to help people with their Mediacom needs - my parents will not be having Mediacom in the future when they are in Arizona if they are in Arizona. read more

Mediacom has been the best fast-paced internet I've experienced in the area. I don't live in a large city, and it's hard to find good quality internet connection for upload and download speeds. I can easily work from home no problem. Their customer service however, is the worst. Been trying to enroll in autopay for months, and every month they have a different excuse as to why is wasn't started. It costs more to pay by phone. This has been our only issues. Hopefully they get better at their system, then I'd rate them 5 stars. The people on the phone offer very limited support in starting the autopay, which is pretty frustrating. Worst service I have ever had and last month they were having technical problems so I had no tv for 2 weeks. Then last week they shut off my service no tv at all and when I asked them why they lied to me. I went into the office and asked them how much I owe them to get my tv turned back on and I stood there for an hour until she figured it out. She was rude to me while I waited behind a guy returning his Wi-Fi extender. She refused to accept the equipment back and he was not happy about that. I said see that's what they do and she said I am helping a customer right now so please shut up! Where's my refund for no tv for 2 weeks? Plus I get help with my bill from government and they said I owed $160 and my bills is always around $130 and that is all I paid. Pay attention to what your customers say! If there are other options please take them. 5 days of outages and not one form of communication in regards to let customers know what is exactly going on. I have a student who is taking summer classes and a son that works remotely. We have had the internet go out while my one son was taking a test and while the other was in a zoom meeting. Constant weekly outages and drop in speeds. I called for a credit and the young man stated that he does not believe me. He was in a foreign country. So now, every time it goes out i call for a technician and make them come out. I don't know what other options there are in my area but will probably try it soon. All the customer service agents are from foreign countries. While all really nice, Just would be good to talk to somebody local. The outages typically last 4 hours. We are all completely frustrated with staying at home and now we're loosing more wages and potentially our jobs because the service is unreliable. The worst service I've had since DSL! Switch services from Hughes Net and totally regret it! I'm paying close to $200 a month for the past six months for 1 gig internet and cable. The internet is constantly going in and out which kills the Tevo boxes. My average speed is 200mbs! I'm paying $200 a month for 1gig and average 200mbs. Their customer service sucks! 8-10 times they've been out here the last 4-5 times the service techs say it's in their lines in this area and six months later nothing has changed. Just called to request disconnect on June 20th, was told company policy is to wait 7 days before they will disconnect and close account. Miss a payment and see how fast they shut u down. Your service blinks on and off causes disruptions with all electronics but it is the customers imagination. So u go around all ur equipment and reset it. Then u go back to what u were doing and here we go again. Another blink just long enough to set everything off again. This is something that happens on a regular basis. When they start new promos existing customers are not eligible. No senior citizen discounts. I was paying 92.99 a month in a limited income. Dropped internet and cable night and day for the past 5 months. We have had at least 10 appointments where the tech comes out to fix the issue but can't and someone else needs to come out and fix it. Today I was told by a manger (Stacy) that it was an issue in our area and could not tell me when it would be fixed and she would understand if we were to switch to another provider. I have spoke to my neighbors that have Mediacom and they are not having issues. Calling their customer service department or technical help number is a plain nightmare. You can hardly (if ever) get someone who speaks English. Which makes it very hard to understand at times. Now look. I love Mediacom, me and my family have always used it. BUT, you guys did my father dirty. You were billing him for at least a year for 169.00 plus change. Then just last week I noticed you guys RAISED HIS DATA PLAN without him approving it (we all know you raise our bill due to changes) However, we were never notified of the changes. So I had our Data Plan lowered to help lower the bill. We were paying for 6000GB for a 2 and a half bed and barth trailer. We are not running a small facility nor a small business. So I lowered it to 3500GB (apprently if I went any lower it would effect our internet speeds) and it lowered our bill about 20.00. Which doesn't make any sense, then my father called and spoke to a manager. I wasn't on the phone or I would name him, but he told my father that a wifi extender can lower our cost? Excuse me? All that does is increase the radius of our wifi signal (Must think we're stupid) Anyway, the Extender comes in yesterday and our wifi was fine. Today I go to plug/set the wifi extender up and before I even plug the extender in. Both of our Networks aren't working, so I text support AGAIN. Just to find out that Mediacom had placed something (support was vague) on our account that knocks our networks out. So then I find out (through text support) that I need the Eero for my wifi service to work?! But it was fine up till I unplugged my modem to install Eero (wifi extender app) So my father gets on the phone because surprise, surprise! Our wifi is WORSE THAN IT WAS WITHOUT THE EXTENDER (not that we had any issues in the first place but wtf) Here's the funny part, and I want EVERYBODY reading this to understand. We got our former wifi plan back (without Eero) and guess what....our bill still stays lowered. So, how does having a wifi extender lower our internet bill? It doesn't and you guys have lied. This is the worst wifi service I've ever seen. It's down every day without fail. I've had it for over a month and it has to be reset every day. Last week I was told the problem was not with the equipment in my house it would take a week to fix. I was told it will go down when it gets cold. I'm on day 7 in AJ with sporadic internet which also means the phones don't work, which means while I'm at work I have to worry about by 89 yr old mom with no phone. I have lost internet at least 40 times in the last year and the other 4 years were no picnic either, They were the only internet of AJ so now I have to see if another company came in. Lately it hits 8pm and internet is off all evening, today its on for a half hour off a half hour, tech is really concerned sounding and polite, but never have any idea because no one tells them whats going on and then they apologize for that too, so this time I demanded a refund for the 7 days, 4 of the 7 days recording said many in my area were without internet and it would be on by 10 pm , and one time said 10pm CENTRAL time, I'm in AZ so this is more than my area.
