I was greeted by a friendly individual (who, by reading other reviews, I think was the owner) and ordered beef kabob and salad. Good food and good prices but inconsistent closing time. Although their sign says they're open until 8, when I've walked in at 7 I am reminded they are closing soon and I need to go soon. They say business is slow so they are closing early, each time I've come in. Same with other customers that come in after me. If you have 4-5 people wanting to eat there, I'm not sure how you can argue you are slow and need to kick everyone out. read more

My all time favorite place for Greek or Mediterranean food! Been coming here for 11 years and watched this tiny dive turn into a neighborhood favorite. The portions are huge, the price is small, and the food is homemade. The number 6 gyro sandwich, salad and drink is enough for two meals. Grab some baklava for a special treat. I went there for the first time today. While we were waiting in line, the owner, Walid, offered us generous samples of turkey rolls. They were yummy. I ordered the Falafel sandwich combo for 6.99. Walid asked if this was our first visit, I said yes, so he gave us all an extra side if tabbouleh, so we could try it. My husband ordered the Gyro, and it was piled high with meat. The falafel and hummus were the best I have had. It is in an unassuming plaza on Fairbanks and is definitely worth the drive. You feel very welcome and get delicious food at a great value. I read about this place while looking for good gyros in Orlando. When I googledt it came up #1 in the area so I had to give it a try. Funny thing is we've been grabbing quick sandwiches for years right next door in the same strip mall & han't even noticed this place. All I can say is BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!! What absolutely DELICIOUS meals & GREAT service & all for a GREAT price! Yes, it's what we folks call a "hole in the wall", but I'm sure many of you know sometimes these kinds of restaurants have the best food & this is NO exception. I've been back several times since my 1st visit a few werks ago & have never been dissapointed. The food is AMAZING & the owner could easily give seminars on how to treat customers & keep them COMING BACK!! What a GEM of a man!! My favorite greek place in Orlando, you simply cant beat the quality, service or the value! The gyro must have about 12oz of lamb on it, comes with a greek salad and a drink all for under $10. I've only had a handful of gyros in my lifetime, but the one I had at Mediterranean Deli was the best I've ever had. The owner gave out free samples of the turkey wrap which I also liked. I love the four different salads and that the combos come with a little bit of everything. I regret not trying the hummus, but the baklava I had for dessert was so fabulous! If I didn't know where this place was, I would have driven right by it. Honestly, if I was alone I don't think that I would have bothered to get out of my car. That being said, the food was great! I had the gyro combo, with hummus. The gyro was huge (I didn't finish it), and the hummus was excellent (also a huge portion). There are about 8 seats in this place, so you have to fight for one, but it is definitely worth it. You can tell this is the type of place that the owners know you and remember who you are! Want the biggest gyro you've ever seen? The best baklava you've ever tasted? This is the place. I've had a dozen things from here and they've all been straight amazing. And massive portions. Awesome local joint. Colorful guys running the place, terrific food on the plates, very reasonable prices. It draws a steady crowd at lunchtime and that first table inside the doors feels like the tundra with the AC blowing directly on it, but other than that it's thumbs up all around. Try the chicken plate - tender and spiced right. Shames Hubble Bubble down the road which tries to merge middle eastern with the Chipotle concept. Not quite as varied salad offerings as Tony's Middle Eastern, but much more efficient and friendly. I hope these guys succeed and figure out how to expand a bit. I just *wish* he would open a second location in downtown Winter Garden, where he could charge a little more and still be overflowing with people. Just realized I've never left a review here. I frequent here for lunch since it's about 10 minutes away from my job and I'm not gonna lie, their tzatziki sauce is my JAM!! I absolutely love them and usually order their Chicken Kebab meal which comes with a side salad of your choice (Tabouleh, Mediterranean or Greek) for about $8.00 or their Gyro Combo w/ salad also about $8.00. The owner and everyone there is so friendly and literally welcome you in like you're an everyday regular. They do have a few seats inside and a few tables outdoors so it's not really the best for big parties however... They have platters you can order that feed big groups of 10+ people so definitely worth ordering for any get together's or luncheons. It does tends to get pretty busy during lunch hours so if you're limited on time you can order for pickup which is what I usually do. I can honestly say I've never had not one bad experience or meal here and their attention to flavor and customer service is really what makes this place a must try! read more

Not a bad lunch option. I gave it three stars because the food doesn't travel well. The portions are large and the chicken was very flavorful. I didn't like the taste of the hummus and the salad wilted because they packed it in the same container as the chicken. It's worth a try.
