We have now had Mediterranean Kebab more than once and have been very impressed by their service. Both times were catered meals. I believe I dined in their restaurant a while back. I really enjoyed their chicken and rice and falafel. They pair their falafel with a yummy sauce! Many of my colleagues enjoyed their Shish Kebab Lamb which were cubes of meat, very flavorful. Their hummus and falafel are both made very fresh and were the first items to go! We had them cater a conference and they were very professional, friendly and the communication was strong. We would definitely hire them again for catered for or just to drop into their restaurant! Ismael helped us and did a wonderful job, he was flexible with our order and very accommodating. So my husband and I were regulars size we moved to burlingame over 4 years ago at medeteranean kebab. I mean they know us especially via door dash or uber eats orders. Unfortunately we will never order from there again, after the 3rd time in a row they gave us under cooked meat, and did not provide their lovely complimentary Tahini sauce which comes with every meal. We have come to the conclusion that by the 3rd strike your out. BEST pita bread!! The pita bread is so fresh and so delicious, I can only describe it as a soft little pillow. Every time I come to Burlingame this is the only place I will eat lunch or dinner. The chicken kebab plate is very large and very filling. The rice is absolutely delicious as well as the side of salad. After I leave this restaurant I am completely stuffed! The prices are a little bit on the higher side, but trust me it's worth it! The atmosphere is very open and not too fancy. Delicious, fast, affordable. G and I made a quick stop here for an early date night Sunday night. We ordered at the counter the chicken gyro plate and the beef/lamb gyro plate. It looked healthy and tasty, and both they were. The owner came to set out our utensils, and throughout the evening, we saw lots of regulars come in, order food, chat with the owner, and go. I should incorporate Greek food into my diet more often. My coworker treated me out for lunch and decided to take me to her favorite Greek place. Little did she know, it's always been on my list of to tries. With so many choices on Burlingame, this place is easy to miss. There's plenty of tables inside and some outside for the sunny days. I ordered the beef and lamb gyro plate. Without even knowing, cashier tells me it's the most popular order. The plate is also served with rice, salad and pita bread. I was trying out my low-carb diet so I opted for more salad in replace of rice. Food arrives SUPER fast. Plate is HUGE. They are very generous with the amount of gyro provided. Although we each got our own, it was probably not a bad idea to share a plate. I wish I had took a picture to describe the amounts of meat that was piled on my plate. Overall, salad was great and much needed for the meat which was the real star of the dish. Sliced just right and superb taste. Only disappointment was the pita bread. It wasn't warm or hot. They only gave us 5 pieces, too. So that was awkward to split. In addition, they were cut kind of small so it was hard to actually stuff anything inside it. Half star deducted. HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING! I had maggots on my drink and they didn't apologize! This was my second time trying this place. I thought the food was meh at first but I had some Mediterranean craving so I decided to stop by. First of all, they told me that they can't accept my debit card because they had power down so I had to go to a bank to get cash just to find out that the power was back. But this isn't their fault or in their control so I just jokingly said "oh i just ran to the ATM!!" and they just said "yeah, now the power is back" So I ordered my wrap and got a San Pellegrino. I sat down and open the wrapper of the drink and they were MAGGOTS! dead maggots all stuck around the can and its opening. FREAKING MAGGOTS!!! I went up to the counter and notify them quietly so I don't embarrassed them... But now I wish I made a scene. They just saw it, took it out of my hand and said "Just grab another one." They didn't apologize. To top it off, the napkins they had on the tables smelled like nasty rags.... Avoid this place at all cost!!! read more

I was feeling pretty hungry that day for lunch so I also ordered the lentil soup. Lentil soup tasted like chicken soup. It looked pureed, but it wasn't thick, then again I couldn't distinguish what the little bits in the soup were. It tasted so much like chicken soup I even asked the waiter to be sure that he had not mistakenly given me chicken soup - he assured me that it was lentil. The falafel was a little dense and didn't have much flavor/seasoning. The green salad was also disappointing. The dressing tasted almost like Italian dressing - where's the oregano and other herbs? But the hummus was smooth and creamy and the baba ganoush was strong of roasted eggplant flavor - yum! Overall this place is pretty cheap, and I would come back again if I was in the area. Took home an order of dolmades and a falafel wrap the other day, and I just have to say: I'm definitely a fan! You know a place is good when you're eating your food and you're already thinking of a date and time to go back again. The dolmades were perfect: Not too oily, not too watery, with just the right balance of salty/tangy/clean flavors. They were wrapped nice and snug, with just the right density of filling, and the grape leaves were perfect to the tooth--neither too soft nor overly fibrous. Aside from the odd homemade batch here and there, I honestly have not had dolmades this good in years, ever since the Davis Food Co-op stopped making them well. The dolmades came with some lavash, a lemon wedge, a bit of (romaine) lettuce, and a good helping of yogurt sauce. Wasn't gonna have the yogurt sauce, but it had just the right amount of good, fresh mint that I couldn't resist. The falafel wrap was huge and tasty: Basically it was grilled lavash filled with warm, moist falafel; tahini; tomato; and lettuce. It was great, though my only suggestion is that they use more vegetables to help cut through the density and the stick-to-the-roof-of-your-mouth richness of the falafel. The food is a bit pricey, but the portions are generous and the quality justifies the price. If the food stays this good on my future visits I'll most likely raise my rating to five stars. read more

E was responsive, informative, helpful, kind and patient as he crafted a menu to tailor to the needs of our 270+ staff. The food was DELICIOUS. From the presentation to the taste and everything in between, every single person was impressed and that's no easy task! After lunch I received emails from our staff asking me to send them their Yelp! page. They arrived early, had the whole lunch set up in less than 30 minutes, and had everything labeled with ingredients and allergy restrictions for each dish. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First off I ordered my food and about 6 people we're behind me. All 6 of those people got their food, finished it and left. When I asked the host where my order was she told me "oh it will be right out" Well I finally got the Swordfish I ordered 30 mins later and when I cut into it, the whole center was raw. Come here if you want Turkish food. They serve what they call "Gyro's" but it's not a typical Greek Gyro. It's a Turkish Gyro, meaning it will have lettuce and no zadziki, and it's not served on a traditional thick pita bread, it's has more of a Shwerma wrap. I've been here 3-4 times now, I've had the gyros' and the dinner plates. and all in all, I've been disappointed every time, the food has been bland and or missing something every time. The meat has been dry and the sauce watered down and lacking flavor. It was a challenge to finish it. Counter service is fine, nothing special. I avoid this place now. Thus my take out order for 2 salads. Two salads, change gloves, no Bread. Repeated it twice. Man nodded and said no problem. He took my cash and I sat down to wait. 5 minutes or so later he brought me my bag and I asked TWICE to confirm no bread. He even said change gloves, no bread. I should have checked cuz there was bread in both salads. Lessons learned:don't trust other people and check my own take out before I leave. The chicken kebabs were juicy and lean but needed salt. The gyro meat was well seasoned but the pieces cut so thin that it lacked texture as a result. The steak kebabs were salty, along with the gravy sauce that they bathed it in. And the ground beef kebab was forgettable. The rice pilaf had a chewy texture, like they didn't rinse the rice and as a result, it caused a chalkiness bite. It also lacked seasoning as well. The salad was fresh and bright, along with being well dressed. Service was fast and friendly yet reserved. Overall, it is not a memorable place with food that left much to be desired. read more

My boyfriend has found this to be one of this favorite Mediterranean spots. We usually always get the Chicken Kebab and the Shish Kebab plates. Never fails to be pretty darn delicious. Portions are reasonable. Small outdoor seating area is nice... Burlingame Ave is great on a nice day. Inside is spacious but could get busy. BUT, one particular time I ordered something shawarma, to go. 15 minutes pass and I still don't have my food. I ask the guy at the register where my order is and he says its coming right up. 10 more minutes later I ask again and this time he looks at me and asks me what I ordered. Wow, another hidden gem in downtown Burlingame. Even my roommate who has this asian stomach ( people who refuse to eat any other kind of food except Asian Cuisine) complimented on this place. Once you walked in, you could feel this place was as authetic as it could get (accodring to Burlingame standard), they have home made cream of chicken soup, home made Turkish coffee, their pita breads are a delite.
