Mediterranean Wraps is a personal favorite of mine in the area because it offers large portion sizes with delicious well balanced dishes. Our go-to items are the chicken shawarma plate and the chicken shawarma wrap. The plate comes with chicken shawarma on top of chicken stock rice, a side salad with a pickle, hummus, and pita. The chicken is always soooooo flavorful and is not overly salty. The rice is probably my favorite part because it's so luscious and packed with flavor. Every bite warms my tummy. The chicken shawarma wrap has the same yummy on it but with lettuce. Pro tip is to ask them to wrap it in a pita instead of wrapping it in the tortilla. The tortilla is very mid and the first time we had it was disappointed but we had the idea to ask them to wrap it in a pita and it HITS!!! Another pro tip is to ask for extra tzatziki and tahini and they will give it to you on the side. The falafel is also delish if you're in the mood for that. Also they do have inside and outside seating. Sitting inside is not the most enjoyable experience since it's a little stuffy and small but we always take it Togo to eat outside or at Stanford. It travels well! Parking can be difficult but cal ave does have free public lots that you can usually find parking in even during busy times. But regardless you will need to do a short walk to get the the restaurant since the main st is blocked off from cars. Mediterranean wraps is one of my ultimate favorites in the bay. I had the falafel wrap, and I was very impressed. The falafel was not really crispy but it was extremely soft and not dry at all, and combined with the crunch from the veggies the wrap altogether had a great texture. I was very happy with the amount of veggies in the wrap, especially compared to other places that put barely any in. The tahini sauce is also amazing. Service is great as well, I asked for my wrap to be cut in half and they even wrapped the two halves separately. Not labelled on the menu but the falafel wrap is vegan as far as I can tell. Walked in for lunch with a few coworkers and was welcomed by a delicious smell of lamb cooking up. We ordered the beef wrap wihich came with the beef,lettuce, tomato, and a sauce they have. The service was incredible! You get to sit down and they bring you the food out. We got to try their Falafel on the house which was also delicious and will come back for those. Mediterranean Weaps is my favorite among the dozens of middle eastern restaurants I have eaten at. The falafel is perfect - crispy on the outside, nicely cooked on the inside and just the right spice. The chicken schwarma is always cooked deliciously. The sandwiches wrapped in a tortilla like flatbread that is grilled with a tiny hint of burn that gives the sandwich an additional flavor that is completely welcome. For two bucks more add potato and eggplant. The service is quick and efficient. Sometimes they will give you a little something extra - a falafel ball or small cup of sweet tea. We picked up food from here the other day for a picnic. We came on a Sunday which is also when there's a Farmer's Market on California Ave. I got a chicken shawarma wrap that was really tasty. The wrap tasted soft and fresh, the chicken was well-flavored, it was smothered it in a nice lightly creamy dressing, and had just enough lettuce and tomatoes to add a good combination of textures. I was craving a good shawarma lamb wrap. What I got seemed to be more of a lamb burrito with limited flavor and produce. I was disappointed by the lack of flavor and texture. When I think of a Mediterranean wrap I think of a pita or flat bread, this wrap was a tortilla. Not a fan at all. The lamb was juicy so and left the bottom of the tortilla wrap wet and greasy.
