Met someone for a little wind down time after work a couple weeks back. Made our way to the very nicely outfitted bar area and took a seat at the bar. A very courteous server provided menus and we proceeded to order a couple drinks. I ordered a glass of wine -- I asked for dry, white and was served Santa Margharita Pinot Grigio. My acquaintance ordered a martini. I ended up ordering the baked brie with crackers and apple slices. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the location is downtown central Mansfield, and it was pretty easy to find a parking spot. Really good service, excellent setting, good facilties. Pricey. The glass of pinot grigio was $18, typically the price of a bottle at Speck's Liquors, $14.00 per Ketel One martini and $16 for the baked brie with sides. Glad I went there ... thinking I need to learn how to bake brie and make a trip to Speck's. We can invite friends over to the patio and drink a bottle of wine for $20. read more

This is a best kept secret! The food is excellent, the service is superb and the restaurant is beautiful. The owner even walks up to your table and introduces himself. They have a cigar lounge if you enjoy that, the ambiance is incredible in that area as well. Last but not least, the bar is exceptional! I feel like I am in a luxury hotel in this bar! The venue is beautiful and ambiance is lovely. The entire staff from the hostess, bartender and server were on point. The appetizers were delicious. We had the spare ribs and calamari. Best calamari I have ever had. However the main course was lacking. We had a rib eye and filet. They were not hot when they came out and the ribeye was very chewy. The asparagus was stringy. The dessert was amazing. They have mastered everything except the one thing they are supposed to excel at. read more

This was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Everything was inedible. The steak was so salty , we sent it back and still could not eat it. The calamari appetizer was horrible. When you walk in, it's got a Las Vegas twist. Overall the food itself was absolutely delicious!!! I ordered a NY Strip cooked medium and it was cooked to perfection!! Not only was the steak very delicious, they even serve fresh baked bread before they serve the entree! Aside from the food, there IS a dress code for this place (Business casual). The waiters where very nice and presentable as well. If you were to come to this place whether if you're with your family, companion or whatever the occasion is, I highly suggest this place!! We came here on the first night it opened. Drinks were great. Steaks cooked to perfection. I had Sea Bass that was wonderful. Hot Rolls and butter included. Nothing else is free so take advantage. Decor is top notch and seating is super comfy. It's pricey but worth it. So glad Mansfield finally has a top notch restaurant. Party of four split bread pudding and it was delicious. Sides were good but kind of small. Everything is A la Carte. My personal favorite were the mushrooms. read more

They did an amazing job with the space and decor. Bar is separate from the rest of the dining room and it seems they have a couple of private rooms, all glass walls. The food was AMAZING, every bite. Steak was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Creamy brussel sprouts were incredible, even dipped my perfectly crispy fries into left over creaminess. Beef carpaccio with huge capers was very tasty. Wedge salad was super crisp and perfect amount of toppings. Can't wait to go back and try more food, that kitchen knows that their doing. Now let's talk about the service; it was decent for opening night, but you need to understand that all new restaurants are going to have some glitches with the staff while they all get into the groove of working together. So if you go and service is a little slow or wonky, please give them some grace. Hopefully in a couple of weeks it will be impecable. Manager and owner did stop by our table to check in us. This is by far one of the top fine dining restaurants in all of North Texas. The ambiance of the restaurant is second to none among all other restaurants within miles. The moment you step through the front doors, you know you're in for an experience like none other. The bar is well stocked with top shelf liquor, a massive wine list, and expert bar tenders. The waitstaff made us feel at ease immediately and took excellent care of us, as well as made great recommendations. We ordered a prime steak and the sea bass, both cooked and seasoned to perfection. The Mac and Cheese was some of the best I can remember having in my life. We ordered bread pudding and crème brûlée for dessert and both were exceptional. From getting out of our car until the moment we left the restaurant we were treated like royalty, had an outstanding experience, and some of the best food we've had in all of DFW. I can't wait to try more menu options. Everything we ate was great! So excited Meehan's is in Mansfield and to have this experience in our backyard. We will certainly be returning often! read more

I was very excited to eat at Meehan's as we don't have many (or any) upscale eateries in Mansfield. I wanted to like this place - I REALLY did.. Here's my feedback: 1. We had to wait 20 min for our table when we had reservations. 2. The tables are waay too close together in proximity! We had to move our table so the ppl at the next table could get in. I guess they are trying to get the most bang for their buck? 3. The prices are a bit high - I would expect prices like these from Perry's, Pappa Bros, or even Bob's Steak and Chop House. 4. My $70.00 Bone-in ribeye was not seasoned AT ALL! I'm not a salt person, but had to use salt on my steak. 5. The brussel sprouts were AMAZING - get them! You won't be disappointed! 6. Our server was AMAZING! 7. Not sure what the hype was about the mac and cheese - dismal...at best.. 8. The coulotte steak that they push was horrible. This place has potential, but it's easy to see that they have some work to do. read more

If you need a nice place to eat for a special occasion, this is it! We went to celebrate my husband's birthday, and it was quite the treat for both of us. The service was outstanding; the staff was attentive and made sure everything was just right. We had ordered tea on this very hot day, and they were quick to serve another glass before we hit the bottom of the current glass! We started our meal with the chicken fried steak bites. They were a little extra salty, but delicious! Then salmon perfectly cooked on a bed of leeks and cream sauce. It was topped with a variety of olives which I got on the side. My husband loved the olives. We ordered 2 sharable sides, one of asparagus and the other the mashed potatoes. I was surprised that the sides were an additional $12. each and that the $39. salmon entree did not include any sides. It was a beautiful room, and the armchairs were very comfortable. The host even pulled out the chair for me. The silverware was replaced with fresh pieces after each course. The restroom was busy, but clean and well stocked. Dessert was a complimentary cheesecake. They took our leftovers and boxed them for us and brought them back in a nice, handled bag. Great dinner. Total time at restaurant... right at 2 hours. read more
