We've been to this place just three times, but I don't think it's where I'd want to have my comfort-food weekend breakfast. I felt rushed, the place is always crowded (I'm not a fan of sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with other customers. Though servers seemed fun, fast and very nice, some young employees up front seemed overly snobby. Their food is okay and there are interesting choices of coffees that can serve as a purpose of a desert. Just not my cup of tea. read more

Eggs were overdone for both of us, over east's were hard and BB King was mostly burnt or brown egg throughout. We also chose a Fraffle which is Fench toast in a Waffle form. I ordered the Boston Creme French toast and my husband ordered the Eggs Benedict with Canadian Bacon. Both entrees were impecable! The French toast had fresh strawberries, white chocolate chips, Boston creme custard and drizzled chocolate! The Eggs Benedict came on a homemade garlic English muffin that was so doughy and flavorful. (You could tell they were homemade). The only complaint my husband had about his dish was the "breakfast potatoes" that came with the entree. He liked the breakfast potato chips that were served with his meal, but he wished he had the option for regular home fries/breakfast potatoes. Wife found this place on line with good reviews and since we like to try new and different places, off we went to Middletown on a 40 min drive. Got there and the place was quaint. Told wait would be 5-10 and was around 15 mins. My wife ordered Chorizo Me Crazy and I, DARK & STORMY Bowl - homemade pork roll hash topped with two scrambled eggs, jalapeños, tomatoes, onion crisps & horseradish sauce. My wife said hers was fine but mine was underwhelming. It had no flavor other than the tomato and jalapeño. Even the pork roll was bland. There was no fry on the pork roll or the potatoes. The potatoes were just boiled and diced with no seasoning. The dish was watery and soggy. Had eggs over easy versus scrambled which were fine. Toast was cold and served in the bowl but nothing to put it on to eat so I had to put it on my napkin. I would have asked our waiter for a side plate but he never returned to the table until time to drop off the bill. We needed refills on our beverages but never asked. He had that "I can't wait until my shift is over and get out of here" look on his face when he waited on us and every time I saw him. We had a nice trip together but the destination was a bust. Didn't realize there was a meemoms in Middletown. I'm so glad to have come here for breakfast with my family! The French toast are delicious here! It's moist with a great flavor without the toppings. The toppings is where meemoms gets creative with their French toast which they are known for. We ordered the Tipsy Piggy and Boston creme French toasts. My daughter raved about the Boston creme and i had a bite and thought it was very good. My Tipsy Piggy was great! Only gripe was it could have used more bacon! Not just because I love bacon, just not enough. My wife ordered the ultimate banana bread. It was also very good. Simple and modern decor. There are a lot of seating, but it gets really busy and waits can be over 30 minutes. Because their menu so creative, which also has a large variety of egg and other breakfast items, panini, sandwiches, & coffee bar, there are lots of families with KIDS! The restaurant was loud with a lot of crying and whining! The staff are friendly and place is clean. I noticed an employee really wiping down the table and seats after a family left. A friend of mine decided to take me out for breakfast/brunch and surprise me because he knows how big of a foodie I am. I had no idea where we were going. All I know it was a lengthy ride. He took me on a little adventure to Middletown. I would say about 30 minutes without any traffic. We arrived to a plaza filled with tons of shops. We parked and proceeded to our final destination. I saw many people standing outside and inside was very packed. It was a bit overwhelming at first because I had never been here before and didn't know what to expect. The wait for a table of 2 at 11 am on a Saturday was about a 45 minute wait. We decided to stick with it and keep our eyes on the bar area in case any seats opened up (that area is first come, first serve). While we waited we took a look at the menu and they have so many different options for french toast I couldn't decide! The crowding began to die down and 30 minutes into our wait two seats opened up at the bar! We immediately took those spots! The hostess, waiters, and waitress' were very friendly and attentive. I finally made my decision. I wanted the Sundae Extravaganza french toast - topped with caramel mascarpone, hot fudge, candied bacon, homemade brownies, crumbled waffle cones, powdered sugar, vanilla & chocolate drizzle. Don't forget to order a side of thick crispy bacon. Lord have mercy. HEAVEN. My only complaint is that it took a very long time for the food to arrive. I understand it was busy so I will take that into consideration but when you are sitting in a bar area its mostly for quick service. (Please note bar area does not serve alcohol). All in all, this was a fantastic experience for breakfast/brunch and I would return some time in the near future. A great place for some breakfast. I live in long branch which is a little far, but I tried Meemoms when someone brought it to the office about a year ago and while good, I had 2-3 bites and couldn't take anymore because of the level of sweetness. Today, I ordered 2 things: Mom's Chicken Sandwich and the Caramel Cookie Crunch. People I was with (whose food I also tried) ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla and Salty Turtle. In order of tastiness: 1. Breakfast Quesadilla: So fresh! If the egg was a little less cooked, would have been better, but that's our fault for not ordering it that way. The peppers and bacon were plentiful and cheese brought everything together. 2. Mom's Chicken Panini: Delicious and light. The bacon gives the chicken, which is already tender and savory, a lasting taste. The juice of the chicken, bacon, and avocado spread makes every bite just as good as the last. My last bite of this sandwich was the best. Bread had absorbed all the juice and it was delicious. TIP: ask to have it extra toasted because it was a little cold. I ordered waffle fries and they were crispy and not oily. 3. Caramel Cookie Crunch: One of my all time favorite chocolate candy are Twix bars. One of my favorite things to binge on are Oreos. Maybe I was missing my glass of milk to help me take down all the sugar, but it was a solid 3/5. 4. Salty Turtle My brother ordered this. I didn't like it, but the pretzel, caramel, and French toast mix was interesting. Comes with caramel and chocolate sauce. Too sweet! :( Some takeaways: I didn't really like the way their French Toast tasted. Next time I think I'll try the waffles or the pancakes. The place is so small has such an open layout that it was really loud. Wait was only 10 minutes. Food did not take long at all. Very clean, eco-feeling environment. Coffee was strong. Fresh squeezed OJ was small, but good. Wish they had a sea-salt caramel waffle or pancake (didn't see it on the menu.) I went on a weekday and this is located in a pretty busy shopping center, so I can imagine that on weekends this is madness finding a spot! The place is almost a clone of the Wall location. Great place! Meemom's is located within a shopping center and has lots of ample parking. We came in the middle of the week, around 10 am. It was pretty packed but we got a table right away. Our waitress was friendly and explained to us all the speciality items on their menu and coffees. Let me start off by saying if you love French toast, this is your spot. They have at least 15 + varieties on their menu. We got churro French toast and it was absolutely delicious. We also got veggie omelette and it was awesome too. I love dining in this area. Who knew the seasonal jersey shore would have so many gems in the brunch/lunch theme. Meemoms is on my shore rotation. I usually come for lunch a few times a year. I only come to the Shore once a week or I'd be here more often. It's always crowded, closes early, not to many meats but that's it for the negatives. The service is always helpful and friendly. The place is always clean and changes the specials all the time. They are known for their fancy french toasts and waffles which I've tried quite a few of and for me I'm always disappointed since they are so sweet and I'm a savory person so I should know better. Every time I order a savory dish I love it. Some of the best have been -the Eggs Benedict Classic -the shrimp Benedict -the huevos Ranchero Benedict Ok ok I like Benedict's clearly. -the bacon is so delicious,best bacon anywhere I order a side of it every tine just for me and sometimes one to bring home and eat in the car as a car snack. Doesn't everyone need a little bacon car snack in their life. There'd be far less road rage out there. We tried the tuna bacon melt this trip (which scares me I mean tuna and melty cheese just don't go together) so though I wasn't into the melt part the all white meat tuna was soooo good and went so well with the bacon. I'd definitely get this again. They change the soups each week and I've never had a bad one. This week was chicken tortilla and with the exception of needing a little cilantro atop for freshness it was yummy. They don't have dessert since so many entrees are sweet dishes but the fancy chocolate coffee drinks work well as dessert. I do avoid coming here in summer since it's inevitable that you will have to wait but in off season weekdays it's usually ample seating. Please be kind to the teens and let them speak to the customers they are the face of the establishment and obviously are looking for a good experience after a long week at school. I hope that when I'm back in town and visit again everyone in the establishment has been given the freedom that they deserve. I was very eager to try this brunch-style restaurant and finally did! Their french toast menu gave me some very nostalgic feelings related to the Grease Trucks at Rutgers. Like the fat sandwiches at Rutgers, these french toast choices are all uniquely themed and feature very delicious combinations one might not expect. For example, I had the Elvis French Toast. In case you can't guess, that means it was loaded with peanut butter, topped with banana and drizzled with honey. It was sweet but not overly sweet. I thought their coffee was pretty good too. Didn't catch the brand they use but it's good. I also enjoyed their sides - they have thinly sliced potatoes called spuds. A creative way to reinvent the breakfast potato or hash brown. The restaurant isn't huge so I'm not sure how the wait is on weekends (I came on a Tuesday morning). But definitely worth checking out. I give it a 5/5 because I really did have a good time, enjoyed good food and can't wait to return. read more

There are endless selections of french toast that are very creative and innovative. I got here at noon, and I had to wait about 30 minutes for a table since they don't take reservations. I was in the mood for something salty, so I decided not to get a french toast. Their fall specials seemed amazing, but the waitress told me that they were out of pork belly, which was very disappointing. Instead, I decided on "The Knight" panini ($10). Inside was chicken, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, mozzarella, and balsamic. I thought it was delicious! My friend got the Jalapeno Popper panini ($9.5), which I thought was delicious as well. It included horseradish in it which added a great kick to the sandwich. The sandwiches came with pasta salad, which I did not enjoy that much and didn't end up finishing. We also shared an order of pork roll hash ($5) which I really enjoyed. The portion here are big, and the prices are great. I definitely want to come back so I can try the pork belly or one of the many french toasts. read more

This was a very cozy breakfast spot. They are known for their French toast but I ordered the 2 eggs with spuds, which are homemade potato chips and sourdough bread with a side of bacon. For my drink I ordered the endless coffee. It was a very nice meal and the food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was very modern and comfortable. The only downside is it was very loud in the restaurant and it made hearing the waitress and who I was with very hard. It would probably also pay to be early as when I arrived it was a 30 minute wait. But nonetheless this is a great breakfast spot to try if you're in the area. read more

I would like to start this review off by saying this is just about customer service we experienced. My boyfriend and I live in the area and frequently come here, we actually love the food. My problem is yesterday we sat ordered our drinks and then ordered our food. We overheard our waitress apologizing to the couple next to us for the long wait and took an item off their meal and provided them with a $10 off coupon. We didn't think anything of it, thought maybe it was like a mess up of an order. Then about 25 mins later, still no food, our waitress comes up to us and apologizes that she forgot to put our order in. She explains how she was having a bad day. We were very understanding and said that is okay. She then told us our food would be out shortly. At least another 35 mins passes and still no food. At this point the restaurant is emptying out as it is getting closer to closing. Everyone has food besides us. Finally after more than an hour, and asking her multiple times when our food would be ready, because we were ready to just leave, it comes out. We then eat our food quickly and ask for the check. Now, considering I know the customers next to us had the same issue I figured she would also do the courtesy of doing something for us as well. No, she did not. I told her how we overhead the couple next to us having the same issue and that she took care of them. She told us "well they waited like an hour and half" I told her we also waited over an hour for our food... She then said she would talk to her manager. She comes back and I noticed she took just $3 off. I found this customer service appalling and we are disappointed that our time was not valued the same as others. We come here a lot and love the food but now we are discouraged to come back. read more
