I am a retired Roswell resident without any ties to Meer so I can honestly say... If you have any electrical issue, you need to call Meer Electric first. They are the best in customer service and resolving your electrical problems.. I made the mistake of calling another well advertised company to solve a intermittent problem on one circuit breaker. They were supposed arrive the next morning, there was no communication and they did not arrive until the afternoon. After 3 hours of fiddling with their volt meters, I was informed that I would have to spend money on a new circuit panel, smoke detectors with battery backups, some kind of permit, lots of GFCI receptacles, an Arc Fault breaker, and their ground surge package. This amounted to $14,454 and they drove away without fixing a thing. I had no ceiling lights on the first floor, porch lights, and my ceiling fans were not functioning. They did Zero. I found screws on my hardwood floors from the ceiling fan and the wall plates. No cleanup. Not knowing how this was going to be fixed without spending a lot of money was very stressful for me. Why did they try to up-sell me and not fix the problem? Commission? My next call was to Meer, and I was reassured by project manager Ryan that someone would be there first thing the next morning to help me. He wasn't kidding. They communicated when they would arrive and they were on time. They listened to my explanation of how the circuit tracked, and did an immediate evaluation on the panel, which was fine. They took the time to trace back through the circuit until they found the problem. A ceiling fan at the end of the circuit had scorched wiring in the box, and the fan motor only hummed. The circuit was terminated for future fan replacement and the wall switch was taped off. There was another wiring issue identified in the living room ceiling fan that was changed. Everything was put back as it was, and I felt so much better knowing there wasn't an electrical issue to worry about. Sahand and Luis were very thorough and professional. I actually enjoyed talking with them and seeing them resolve my problem. They even vacuumed the floors around where they worked. It was such a relief to me to know the problem was understood, repaired and resolved, without spending a ton of money. The final cost was under $500, a far cry from what I was quoted from the first company. I will always call Meer first when there is electrical project or problem. They are honest and you should call them too. read more

Had Meer install a wall art piece that had interior lighting. Didn't want any wires to show so Meer electrician Edgar Vasquez & his assistant Victor had a tough job fishing wire through wall down to basement & back up to a new switch. They approached task thoughtfully & showed a lot of skill in somehow getting line through wall/foundation. They also were very creative in figuring out how to replace my ceiling lights (20 ft ceiling) moving a minimum of furniture and artwork. Reasonable pricing - good value! read more

Received a quote for installation of a EV charger. They missed first appt then 2nd. When I called to confirm the 3rd appt the owner only asked my 'do you want to cancel?' Rudely. Beware of Meer Electric Contractors. When we moved into our house in March we paid them over $2000 to fix some of the electrical issues in our house. There were lots of things that they billed us for that they didn't actually fix so we asked them to come back out and look at those things. They sent us another bill for close to $1000 for coming back out and "fixing" the same things and now they're threatening to sue us if we don't double pay for the same work, some of which is STILL not complete. When you call them to try and discuss the issues with management the staff curses on the phone at you and tells you they won't discuss it with you. Please beware! read more

We are new homeowners and had never hired an electrician before, but Meer was recommended by a co-worker of mine so we decided to try them out. Rick was very responsive to my initial inquiry and was able to send an electrician out the next day. Alfredo came out and was very professional and efficient. We have a ceiling fan on our 15' living room ceiling that stopped working, and we assumed we needed to buy a new one - but he was able to fix our current fan and save us the money we would have spent on the new fan/downrod & the cost for the time it would have taken them to install it. We were very pleased and felt like they had our best interest in mind. We will certainly use them for future electrical issues. read more

If you want to get COMPLETELY RIPPED-OFF, then use Meer Electric. BEWARE - BEWARE - BEWARE I called Meer to get a verbal estimate over the phone for a very simple installation of an outdoor lamp. I had already laid the underground conduit for the work, and also had installed the base for the lamp post, and had assembled the lamp post and light. So, all that needed to be done by Meer was to run the underground wire (total distance 50'), connect the 3-wires to the lamp post, and screw in 3- nuts to bolt the post to the pre-installed base, and then connect the other end of the wires to an existing outdoor outlet, and install a simple dawn to dusk sensor. Before ordering the work, I called Meer Electric and spoke with Rick, to get a verbal estimate over the phone. I also emailed him several pictures of the job/work, and asked him give me an approximate cost estimate. He told name that it looked like a "pretty simple job and would probably run about $200 - $300". Based on this, I told him to send out a crew. They, (an electrician and helper) arrived at 10:30 am. They assessed the job, and agreed that it was a pretty simple and straightforward installation. Well, their assessment was the only thing that was simple!!! It took these 2-guys, 3-solid hours to complete the job. They finally finished at 1:30 pm. I literally don't think it's possible that they could have worked any slower than they did. And, in the middle of the job, they said that they didn't have some item to complete the job, so they took off for Home Depot for an hour (just happened to be right around lunch time). When finally finished they also left the lamp post unacceptably wobbly because they "didn't have the right size nuts". And this was after going to Home Depot for an hour. Then they presented me a bill for $474.00. This should have been a 1-1.5 hour job MAXIMUM, for an experienced hard working electrician. THESE GUYS JUST MILKED THIS JOB SOOO BADLY, IT WAS RIDICULOUS!!! When I called Rick to complain about being overcharged, of course, he wouldn't take my call. The electricians that came to our house were great. This review is for Rick Meer. When we spoke on the phone, I asked how much it would be to install 3 ceiling fans. He told me they charge by the hour at $150 per hour so he could not accurately tell me what the price would be. When it came time to pay, come to find out the invoice was $150 per fan. When I informed Ric that was not what we had discussed (if it was $150 per fan, it would have been easy to calculate the cost vs. an hourly rate). He seemed to have no recollection of our discussion, said it was $164 per HALF hour, and was incredibly rude and condescending. There are plenty of other electricians who will be getting my business from now on. read more

Hired Meer Electric to install three ceiling fans in our upstairs bedrooms. Richard and Zack came on time, were polite and courteous throughout the whole process, and finished the job within a reasonable amount of time. They cleaned up after themselves before leaving, and even took the time to give advice and to answer some questions my wife had about possible future work/updating. I have used Meer Electric a few times over the years for various electric jobs in my house. Most recently, I had them come out this week for some electrical damage caused by lightning. I have tried a few other electricians for some jobs, but based on what I have seen from the various vendors Meer Electric is now my preferred vendor. The reason for this is that they offer good service for a reasonable price. I've never had any scheduling issues or had to wait long periods for their service men to come when promised. Their service men work efficiently and seem knowledgeable and have always been able to fix my issues. What I most like is the way they price their services. They do not charge based on a flat fee basis for different types of jobs. Instead, their prices are based on time and materials. In my experience, this has resulted in better pricing for me compared to what other vendors have charged. They also will do little extra services while they are out here, and since they are billing per hour rather than per the job, these do not incur extra charges if they are not time consuming jobs. All in all, this is an honest vendor with experienced and reliable servicemen, and I recommend you try them for any electrical issues you have. read more

We've used Meer Electric for years for our electrical needs. They went through a period a few years ago when their prices were sky-high, with the addition of a "gas surcharge" on top of the high price, so we switched to other companies. Just recently we decided to try Meer again. We were relieved that their pricing was more competitive (and the "gas surcharge" was gone from the invoice). We have a switched gas lantern which had been broken for 3 months. During that period, we had service calls from a plumber and two electricians. Because of the overlap between the two trades, neither trade felt competent to fix the lantern. Finally I contacted Meer, and they sent Richard McClure. He and Irvin, the electrician with him had a "can do" attitude. They patiently learned how to replace the defective parts and carefully (and cheerfully) did so. The light works well. My furnace wasn't working and I had spent four nights without heat when the temperature had been in the 30s during those nights. My Heating and A/C people came out three times and could not resolve the problem. I did explain to them that I thought this might be due to an electrical issue because I had noticed some of my light switches were not working in unison as they should have been. The Heating and A/C supervisor finally told me I needed to contact an electrician. I did not know any electricians and asked him for a recommendation. When I called Rick Meer, he sent two of his men out to my home within three hours. Rich and Alex were not only extremely knowledgeable, they worked quickly and efficiently to solve the problem so that I would FINALLY have heat back on in my home. And, they were both so friendly and just a joy to work with, explaining exactly what they were doing and why. In fact, I refer to them as my "Christmas Angels". I cannot tell you how very impressed I am with their service! I felt the cost was more than reasonable. Rich even applied a coupon they had in effect at that time!
