This place is really cute. There's two different areas to sit outside. Both of them are covered, but one has misters to cool you down. There's also two different areas to sit inside. One has a bar and the other has these garage doors to let in the air from outside. I tried to sit at the bar, but I got really annoyed by the staff member nearby constantly shuffling silverware (I don't know if she was cleaning them or what). Not sure why they had her out in the dining area doing that instead of in the back. So I moved to the other indoor area and loved it. I was here for solo dinner on a Monday night and there were only a few full tables. I sat in a quiet corner and enjoyed the outdoor breeze. They also had a TV available. I ordered a drink, some sides, an entrée, and dessert. Everything was delicious. I had zero complaints. I'll definitely be coming back to try out some other items on their menu. This place is a really nice place to meet someone for a meal when you want.to be able to have a nice conversation. This kind of charming inside I love the atrium that has the removable walls for the wonderful summertime weather. There are some outdoor seats there and on the side, which makes for a really nice brunch experience. Today we went for lunch I got the western burger because it's just absolutely incredible. It's so hard for me to order anything else because it's so good. Can only eat half of it . It Norman comes with fries, but I substitute a salad. My dining partner got the Greek salad which comes with a little toasty bread and ranch dipping sauce for the bread. The food is wonderful. Came to Meat & Eat on Mother's Day with my family and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed by how our situation was handled. I completely understand holidays are busy, and I genuinely tried to be patient and understanding the entire visit. After being seated, it took quite a while before anyone came to our table. Once we ordered, every member of my family received their food except me. We waited, checked in politely multiple times, and by the time it was finally addressed, everyone else at the table had already finished eating. At that point, I decided to cancel my meal because I was not going to sit there eating alone while my family packed up to leave. I stayed calm, respectful, and never raised my voice to anyone. What truly ruined the experience for me was an interaction with another waitress who was not assigned to our table and had not been involved in helping us at all throughout the meal. She approached our table with noticeable attitude, dropped the bill on the table abruptly, and walked away without any apology, acknowledgment, or basic customer service after I had spent over an hour waiting for food that never came. That interaction felt incredibly dismissive and unnecessary, especially considering I had not been rude or disrespectful to anyone. If anything, I was trying very hard to remain patient despite being frustrated. There is a difference between being overwhelmed on a busy day and making a customer feel like they are an inconvenience for speaking up about a legitimate issue. I actually had no issue with our assigned waitress. She apologized and was kind when she did speak with us, and I understand the kitchen delays may not have been her fault. My frustration came from how the situation was handled overall and how another employee chose to insert herself into the interaction in such an unprofessional way. I do think the restaurant has potential because my family enjoyed their meals, and I would like to believe this was a stressful holiday issue rather than the normal experience. But for a first visit, especially on Mother's Day, it definitely left a bad impression. Maybe one day I'll return and hopefully can change my rating but until then this is where its at. read more

My favorite thing about eating here is I always get two full meals out of each entree. The tuna melt is two entire sandwiches l! The inclusion of radishes , onions and pickled jalapeños are scrumptious! And I love that they use acme bread. My husband got the breakfast burgers and they were absolutely delicious! The tomato jam adds the best sweet tart balance to a fatty cheese greasy burger. And the English muffins are light and chewy. Fantastic brunch spot. I ordered a pot of tea and my friend ordered the mango mocktail that looked sooooo good! I order the steak and cheese while the flavors were there I asked for easy onion and mushrooms and felt like the sandwich was all onion and mushrooms and definitely needed more steak. The bread was delicious and had a decent amount of cheese but it was so skimp on the meat. As I was chowing down on the yummy fries which they give plenty of I found a hair...not sure if it was mine or not so I didn't tell the server. We came here today for lunch excited because we've been here numerous times before and have always had good service. I've also brought friends here in the past. Unfortunately, today was the complete opposite experience. I ordered the mushroom burger and specifically asked for raw onions only, not grilled onions. When my order came out, it had grilled onions on it and the mushrooms were not sautéed as stated on the menu. The server blamed the cooks and took the burger back. When the burger came back the second time, it again had sautéed/grilled onions on it. I explained once more that I had originally asked for raw onions only. Instead of apologizing, the server became defensive and gave me attitude as though the mistake was somehow my fault. I said, "I told you I wanted raw onions." Her response was, "Well I'll go tell them if that's in fact what you said." I confirmed that yes, that is exactly what I said. She then came back aggressively and seemed more interested in arguing than resolving the issue professionally. She also informed us that she was the manager, which was honestly surprising based on how the situation was handled. She was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, tennis shoes, and had her phone in her back pocket, which came across as unprofessional for someone in a management position. Another manager with short hair eventually came over and listened while we explained the situation and our concerns about how the interaction had been handled. She did comp my burger and gave us 25% off the other burger ordered, which we appreciated. Unfortunately though, the overall experience left such a bad impression that we do not plan on returning. This place clearly has potential since we've had positive experiences here before, but management training and professionalism need improvement. read more

Big kudos to her as for a large demanding party like us, she didn't miss a beat! I shared the smoked salmon benedicts and homemade banana bread French toast. I didn't care for the French toast but the smoked salmon benedicts was pretty good. The potatoes that came with was also cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. For a party as large as ours, the server didn't make a mistake, our coffee cups were never empty, nor did we have to flag her down for refills, and everything came out in a good time frames. They have a small parking lot however, there are plenty of parking on the street. This was my first time here however, for my cousin, who recommended this place, this is her favorite place. I was scrolling through TikTok and I discovered this place and was drawn to the ambience. The food was incredible! Service was awesome. Stopped by on a busy Sunday afternoon and was told it would be a 45 minute wait. We weren't too concerned since it was a beautiful day outside and took the opportunity to hang out on the grass across the street. The wait only ended up being 15 minutes and once we were inside the service was quick and efficient. They were serving from their all day menu as well as the breakfast menu so there were many options to choose from. I ordered the fish and chips thinking I wasn't that hungry and it would be something easy to take home as left overs. They have a small parking lot out front, but there's plenty of two hour street parking in the neighborhood, which doesn't apply on Sunday and Saturday. My server also provided great service and answered all of our questions since it was our first time. My table had the breakfast plate with two eggs, chicken apple sausage, fruit, toast, and potatoes, and the steak and egg plate. Everything was delicious. Great portion sizes for the price. My table also ordered hot coffee drinks (Nutella cappuccino and vanilla latte), which were both good. I noticed that they use coffee from Temple Coffee which was a plus! I have zero issue with the food at Meet & Eat except for being a little pricy. However, for the 2nd time in less than 6months I walked out for lack of service. First time I was with a girlfriend there were 3 employees behind the bar and there were maybe 4 other people at the bar. We sat for 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, not even a hello or be right with you. NOTHING. We got up and walked out. Second time was last night. My boyfriend and I were there to grab an app and a drink. Also sitting at the bar, this time, we sat yet again not a word from the bartenders or employees for maybe 10 minutes. One other man was sitting at the bar it was not busy. We left again. I frequent many of our local neighborhood restaurants and love supporting local, but this is just poor business practice. I have never seen a customer be sent away from the bar a simple, "we're busy I'll be with you shortly" but never not allowing a customer to sit down. And if you only want 4 customers at the bar you should only have 4 chairs!! Denying someone an open seat is wild. In the economy we live in turning away a customer has got to be one of the dumbest things you can do! Ran in on a cold, rainy day . We got a later start than we wanted, so we were pleased to learn they served both breakfast and lunch so we could all get what we wanted. Service was efficient. Not astounding, but not awful. Tip-worthy. The food came out & the presentation was very nice. Everything looked fresh. Everything tasted fresh. My order of bacon was a bit floppy, so I wasn't crazy about that, but my entree was really great. The joint was super noisy, and I didn't much care for that. It made chatting rather difficult. My husband was talking about a song that was playing & I couldn't hear it over the din. Turns out, it was the table behind us. Just loud yap, yap, yap, nonstop. Once that party left, it was easier to hear the ambient music and I noticed it was just TOO LOUD. I guess the table behind us felt they had to yell to hear me another, so maybe turn the sound down. The only quality control I noticed was our server's flawless eyelash application. Surprisingly, this was my third time giving this place a chance--shame on me. While the overall cleanliness was decent, the space feels like it was decorated by HomeGoods: very "Live, Love, & Eat."
