First time ever coming to this dining establishment. Let me just say, WOW! I came with a coworker who is as wine club member here and told me to come with them to try their food. So I arrived early and sat outside waiting, Adria was my server and she was such a lovely lady who was attentive and asked me how my first time being there is. I ordered the burger with fries, and their hibiscus non alcoholic drink. The drink, FABULOUS! It reminded me of Jamaica (Mexican drink) and it tasted just the same. The burger, MY GOODNESS! Booked on Google/Resy and it was super easy to get a reservation as well as modify the time. Found street parking right across the street and got sat right away. Inside is small but cute. Had a seat by the window. It's tight quarters but didn't feel crowded. Got the elote dip and buffalo cauliflower. The elote was 4.5/5 - small portion but came with chips and fed 3 of us. 3/5 buffalo cauliflower was a little undercooked and crunchy. It wasn't my favorite and the dipping sauce wasn't memorable either. 5/5 rev burger with a side of garlic aioli. The burger was AMAZING. Flavors were delicious. I had heard about the burgers before but this was my first time trying it and I would 100% get it again. Had the burger cooked medium and I think I could probably go medium rare next time for a little more juiciness. Friends got the take out noodles which were served in a cute little Chinese takeout box and they enjoyed it. 4/5 churros came out with a candle as we were celebrating a bday. I had indicated it on my reservation but we only casually mentioned a bday and our server brought it out with a candle as a surprise and it was so sweet and thoughtful. Adjusting my Yelp rating to reflect the good experiences I've had at Revolution recently! I stopped by for brunch and dinner, and I'll definitely be returning for brunch. The banana bread and hangover cure with steak were both delicious. I loved the cocktail menu selection, too. For dinner earlier this month, I tried Revolution's limited time Fair Food menu and was a fan of their creative takes, especially the takeout noodles and churros. Whenever I come to Revolution, I always have a reservation as it's a popular spot to dine at. I've dined both inside and on the outdoor patio. I prefer dining inside; however, the outdoor patio is undergoing some renovations with planters coming in. This is my second time here and I was pretty disappointed. It wasn't very full. They took a while to get our order going. We came in at happy hour and were really disappointed with the white offering of Gewürztraminer for the happy hour white, but went ahead and tried it but wouldn't do that again. Also, when the Bill came found out that it was 2 dollars more than listed on the menu - we were gonna order some snacks, but they took so long that it happy hour was over and we had places to be. We did have a second glass of wine - the least expensive Chardonnay by the glass was ordered came out at $14 for the glass and it was not very good. For the $60 bucks we paid, it wasn't a very happy hour. Also, it seems so much noisier in here than the last time we were here I think I'll take a break from this place for a while while. read more

Recently came here with my friends for our book club meeting on a Saturday afternoon. I have passed by this place so many times but for some reason assumed it was only a winery not also a restaurant/kitchen. The place is very cute inside and out, there is a ton of seating and the seating outside is covered and shaded. We sat outside after getting there with no reservation, but many tables had the "reserved" sign. We were sat and served very quickly, and our waitress was very helpful and nice. The menu is seasonal/subject to changes based on local vendors and what's available in season. I ordered the Mediterranean salad and added chicken on the side. The salad was delicious and so filling, and the chicken was flavorful and cooked just right (not dry). We came to Revolution Wines for a lunch date with my daughter and had a bit of a mixed experience. When we walked in, the greeting was minimal, and the woman who seated us was also our server. My go-to spot when I want to have a nicer, high quality meal. The food is always delicious and the best part is that most of the items on their menu have gluten free or vegan options. I was shocked at how the carrot cake slice I had was gluten free and vegan. Same with the chocolate mousse. It was so rich and the raspberry sauce complimented it really well. Got a last minute reservation and tried their DD menu. It was very busy for a weekday night! I started with crab cakes while my bf got the French dip. The crab cakes were filled with lots of crab but were quite small. The French dip was really thick and not as oniony as we hoped. My bf then got the steak frites and I got the cioppino. He ordered the steak medium but it was still quite rare. We tried to flag down our waiter to tell him but it was busy and we didn't see him for awhile. My bf decided to eat it anyway though it was too rare for his taste. 'Y cioppino had ok flavor but the fish was rubbery and overcooked. Ended with the butter budino and chocolate mousse. The pudding was grainy and the chocolate mousse was quite thick. Not sure if this was the desired texture of both but from what I have had in the past pudding should be creamier and mousse is lighter. Service was quite slow. The table next to us waited over an hour for their food and our waiter was nowhere to be found when we needed him throughout our meal. I went there during the weekdays during happy hour and it was busy. Many tables were filled up. We were greeted as we walked in and the waitress walked us through the menu. The REV burger and the fries were just a little salty. I wish they were light handed with the salt but overall is ok. The place is lively and loud so if you are thinking a romantic outing then you should go elsewhere. I'm grateful that the ac was blasting for a hot weathers, but if you get cold easily then you should bring a light sweater. read more

Revolution has been on my list to try for a long time! I've heard mixed things! My girlfriends and I had brunch on the outdoor patio. We had a ressy which was necessary because it appeared almost every table had a reserved sign on it. I got the sangria. They only had red. It was good, but it didn't blow me away. The brunch menu was really nice. It had a little something for everyone including some vegan options. I ended up getting the sunny side burger. The burger was huge and had lettuce, tomato, pickle and of course the egg on it! It came with potatoes! Good portion size. The rest of my table all ended up getting the hangover cure 3 different ways. One with steak medium well, medium rare and then one with no meat the vegan way I believe. They all said it was good just very heavy on the potatoes! The vibe of this place is really nice the outdoor patio is cute and it's located right next to the temple coffee on S street and the Sacramento co op! Parking is available on the street or you can park in the co op parking lot! You can also order coffee at temple and bring it over. Which we did! Great wine, great food, and amazing service. If you're looking for those three things, Rev has all of them and more! We recently moved into the area and since moving, I swear we've stopped by nearly every week. We love Rev so much, we became apart of their "Renew Society". Their Renew Society is a recent addition to their wine subscription packages (only $25 for some great perks). Since we're within walking distance, we pop in frequently for a wine refill and choose them 1000x over instead of buying a random bottle from the grocery store. We know their wine, love their wine, and highly recommend it. Not exclusively into wine? They have an amazing sangria (yes it's made with wine but it's BOMB) and I'd recommend just stopping by for their amazing food. Rev's menu changes with the seasons and it's amazing every time. Not to mention that I'm also a wine Club member & thoroughly enjoy the rotation of wines and the member perks. Our service and experience last night is what finally compelled to finally write this review. One of my dearest friends and I met up for burger Thursday (scrumptious burger and glass of wine for $25....yes please)! Always delish! But the highlight of the night was our server Sun god Zach! And the name is well earned. We were sat at a table where the sun was beaming pretty bright & warm so when Zach couldn't promise to block the sun by just standing there and blocking it while we ate, he did assure us he was going to have a chat with the sun and wouldn't you know it..the sun listened and within a few minutes we were no longer needing SPF 75 and were eating our meal in peace. My first time here was during Happy Hour on a Burger Thursday! My girlfriend and I made reservations just in case. We sat outside on the patio, which was equally as cute as the setup inside. They offer a Burger + Beverage (Alcoholic/Non-Alcoholic) for $25. The burger options include the Rev Burger, Jammin Burger, and Weekly Chef Burger. Definitely could not pass that up! We started with our beverages (Delta Breeze and Summer Sun Sangria) and the Fried Oyster Mushrooms appetizer. I had a Lady Ginger NA mocktail to start, and first course a seemingly bottomless bowl of beet salad. Burger Thursday rocks! Great value for the price, and just genuinely great food and service. We were clearly not the only ones there for Burger Thursday, so there was a little wait. However, we were seated pretty quickly for how long of a line there was when we arrived. We sat at the bar, but there was also a table outside on their patio (it was cold and wet so we opted for the bar). The bartenders were all very friendly and attentive. We got some great burgers - they do a chef special burger each week and some delicious wine and wine cocktail. I decided on their Sunset Sangria while my husband got their house red. Both drinks were excellent. The burgers and fries were excellent as well. The food all tasted super fresh. The patties were hand formed and cooked perfectly to medium.
