Chicken sandwich

Sacramento-Headed out to Rombauer winery for some tastings and wanted to fill up before we got there. This place, reminds me of an old country club restaurant with warm cozy features and a welcoming staff. They have a great array of things to choose from on their menu, so it was very difficult for us to make a decision. First things first, we ordered a bottle of wine along with an appetizer of summer melon with prosciutto. Absolutely delicious! Our entrées included an albacore-tuna sandwich, shrimp Louis salad, and a chicken sandwich. all three of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and the ambience. A great place to sit back, relax, and enjoy some great food. All three of our entrées were on point. The wine was tasty and the company was even better! It's a definite repeat when we are up in the wine country of Plymouth.

Food is amazing. Would highly recommend this place. Ambience and service is great as well. We will surely be going again.

I am so glad we gave them another shot!! Our last visit was a huge disappointment, but tonight totally turned my opinion around! We were early for our reservation, so we had drinks at the bar - I had the Yuzu Lemongrass Collins and my husband had the Peachy Keen. My drink was absolutely beautiful and delicious! His was really tasty too. We sat outside on the patio and it was a perfect night for that! We started with the arancini - SO good!! I had the Campanella and my husband had the Jerk Chicken Pappardelle. Both were amazing! My Campanella was perfection! The flavors were well balanced and it was cooked perfectly. I would definitely get it again! My husband's dinner was loaded with chicken and spiced just right. Gabriel, our server, was really kind and just attentive enough! Our water glass was always full and everything was timed really well. Looking forward to our next visit!

Met a friend during the holidays for lunch to catch up - I made reservations online as I knew how busy they get at lunch - they open at 11 and our reservation was for 1115 - when we arrived we were promptly sat in a booth ... I ordered a latte and my friend ordered a hot tea - good selection- we both opted for salads and I also tried the soup of the day - it was all fresh and tasty - this place is also a popular place at lunch and by noon it was packed and started to get loud - we left around this time ... the also have an outside area but it's been to cold to sit outside - highly recommend this restaurant

Went on a monday so it wasn't too busy. Our waitress was super nice and brought out a candle for a birthday. Food was so delicious, especially the tiramisu. There course meal deal was definitely worth it.

We picked this place to celebrate New Year eve. It was an excellent choice. This places is really good. The best gnocchis that I ever had. The cocktails are delicious. Our waitress (Karina ) was very friendly, helpful with the menu, she gave was many good suggestions for food and drinks. Their restaurant looks clean, good decoration, good parking lot, I really recommend it.

Nothing screams a perfect first date like a beautiful ambiance, delicious food, dimmed lighting, and wonderful service. I thoroughly enjoyed my green salad as well as the creme brûlée I tried at Zinfandel Grille. I believe our servers name was Ivan. We saw that on the receipt. He provided prompt and amazing service. He was attentive and there was never a moment where we didn't have water or weren't checked on. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good spot for date night or even a dinner with a friend. Overall, a wonderful experience. Thank you to the great staff at this restaurant. You all deserve a holiday bonus!

Brussel Sprouts w sauce (you decide)

I haven't been to this establishment in years. Still a old stlye classy restaurant in Fair Oaks. We went for happy hour. The vodka or gin option martini, I choose Vodka - ya can't go wrong w extra olives. Pepperoni pizza tasty, nice simple and very cheesy. And the brussel sprouts. The sauce on top was not what I expected. Not pleasing to the eye. Was not so tasty to me (meh), but my friend enjoyed the taste. But the way the brussel sprouts were seasoned and cooked made up for the sauce. Yum yum yummy. The waitress was very attentive and friendly and the other servers as well. Many guest sat at the bar seemed to be regulars. Great place for happy hour and dinner if live in FO or rolling through the area. And lots of wines and a full bar.

This dish was good.

We had dinner at Zinfandel Grille on a Friday evening with a party of 8, and the experience was great. Our waiter was very kind, attentive, and kept our water glasses filled throughout the night. The service overall was excellent. We ordered a variety of dishes to try. As many reviews mentioned, the calamari was delicious, nice and crispy and I can confirm that it lived up to the hype. One dish we tried was the fettuccine, which came in a red meat sauce. I don't remember if the menu described it that way, but I was expecting a white sauce, so it was a surprise. The noodles were green. I'm guessing they make their own pasta, and it was tasty overall. I ordered the pork chop, which was flavorful and cooked well. However, I didn't care for the sides that came with it. I would have preferred something more classic, like mashed potatoes or broccoli. Their pizza was a standout. I had the asparagus pizza and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure if it was baked in a stone oven, but the crust and flavor were excellent. The steak dish was just okay, not bad, but not my favorite of the night. Overall, I'd definitely go back and try more of their pasta dishes. The service and food made it a great dining experience.

Came for Mother's Day dinner so the menu was different than usual. The food was amazing though. I had a jerk chicken pasta dish and I would 100% come back for a nice date night and try some other things on their menu. The service was great and overall just a nice dinner date night spot with a significant other or celebrate a birthday here. I'll definitely keep this place in mind and return

Celebrating my sister's birthday. Woot woot!
Liz D.

Thanks, Liz! Based on what you shared, here's a warm and thoughtful review you could post: --- A Memorable Birthday Celebration at Zinfandel We recently celebrated my sister's birthday at Zinfandel Grille, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was inviting and perfect for a special occasion, but what really made the evening shine was the exceptional service. Our server, (I believe his name is Daniel) was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right -- from helping us choose dishes to making my sister feel celebrated. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and arrived promptly. It's clear that Zinfandel Grille takes pride in both their cuisine and hospitality. We left with full hearts and happy memories, and we'll definitely be returning. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a special night out with loved ones!

Came here for a birthday and it was amazing! I use to live near this area and never tried this spot until now!? Loved all of our appetizers ( Brussel, brie with honey & slices of bread! ) We also had to try their beer & dessert. The beer was recommended by the staff and it reminded me of how much I enjoyed a cold one! We had to get 2. They were also so quick with coming back to our table when needed. As for the main course I had the brie & honey pizza while my husband had the other one in picture that I cannot remember. The brie and honey were definitely better. Finally, the dessert ( Crème brûlée ) was the best thing I had at this place! So creamy and not too sweet. Just the right balance! I really enjoyed the low lighting at this place, it felt so fancy but not too dark where we can't see our family or our food ha! So it did not take away from a great experience.

It used to be possible to order through a QR code, which worked much better. Now with only two people taking orders and making drinks during the lunch rush, the line and wait times are much longer. We ordered pizza and fries and I could see them sitting by the kitchen for about 10 minutes before they were brought to us, so they arrived barely warm. I also ordered two sides of their house-made ranch (which cost extra) but only received one. When I asked a server about the second ranch I had already paid for, she brushed me off with attitude. I had to ask multiple times and wait another 10+ minutes just to get something we were already charged for. Overall the service felt disorganized and slow. Unfortunately I won't be returning to this location anytime soon.

For example, my water cup stayed empty twice for a while and only got filled when I asked. But it was initially given without asking which was good. The drinks are consistently good, especially the lemon drops, and the happy hour appetizers are delicious. The baked brie is definitely one of our favorites. We've also ordered from the regular menu, and the food has always been very good. The only downside has been the experience at the bar. The female bartender who is usually there during happy hour never seems happy to be there. She always appears rushed, doesn't smile, and gives the impression that taking your order is an inconvenience. It definitely takes away from what could otherwise be a great happy hour experience. On a recent visit, we decided to sit at a table instead of at the bar, and the difference in service was noticeable. The table service was much friendlier, more welcoming, and made the overall experience much more enjoyable. We'll continue coming back because the food and drinks are worth it, but I do hope the bar experience becomes a little more welcoming. A friendly bartender can make a big difference, especially during happy hour.

The cakes, pastries, and beverages were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. In fact, the cakes impressed me so much that I can honestly see myself ordering future birthday and celebration cakes from here. The ordering process was smooth, and the décor is gorgeous, making it a really inviting place to spend some time. I enjoyed the bakery so much that I came back a week later to try lunch. Unfortunately, that's where things took a turn. I ordered the burger, and someone in my party had the salmon burger. Both were incredibly bland. It honestly tasted like no salt or seasoning had been added at all. If you prefer very lightly seasoned food, this might be right up your alley, but it just wasn't for me. The iced tea also comes unsweetened, so keep that in mind if you're expecting sweet tea. One small thing that could also be improved is the ordering setup. There are separate lines for the bakery and the kitchen, but when it gets busy it can be a little confusing--especially since you order first and then find a seat. Overall, I'd absolutely return for the pastries, cakes, and drinks. The bakery side is outstanding. As for lunch, though, it left me wanting a lot more flavor.

We went in on a Friday mid-morning and the wait for 2 was only about 15-20 minutes. I was blown away by how nice it was on the inside, it's a lot bigger and more modern than you would expect from seeing it on the outside. I'd say there are about roughly 25-35 tables combined inside and outside, so don't be discouraged if the line looks long. I promise it's not the hole in the wall it seems on the outside - it's really roomy on the inside! The food also comes out SUPER quick and the wait staff is super attentive and friendly. So I was a little bit confused and asked the waiter who was equality admittedly puzzled. I ended up buying the separate items and making my own brewmosa. I will say it was quite delicious! Their OJ is freshly squeezed which is a big big plus! Anyways I would highly recommend this place and we hope to be back soon if we find ourselves back in the area!
