Instead of he making a new one he takes the lid off added the cream and doesn't seal it well. I go to shake it whole thing spilled on me. Also, people should not be handling cash AND making food. I've waited 3 years for this location to open up and finally got the chance to go. This place took over sushi factory, and after having Meet Fresh in other cities, I was excited to have sweet desserts so close by. At the corner of Harvard and Brighton Ave, it's a great location and perfect addition to the Allston food scene. I came here on a Saturday late afternoon and it was extremely busy as they have just opened. There was a line to order and at least 30 other people waiting around for their orders to be made. I finally got to order and wanted to get the signature icy grass jelly, but the server was telling me they ran out of grass jelly shaved ice and asked if I wanted regular shaved ice or grass jelly. I said regular shaved ice was fine since the dish already has grass jelly. She responded by saying no grass jelly, so I was quite confused but paid and hoped for the best. We waited about 30 minutes for our dessert to be made and went on our way. The sweet dessert itself was good plenty of grass jelly, taro and sweet potato balls, and regular shaved ice. It also comes with a small cup of cream if you'd like to add more flavor to it. The chewy taro and sweet potato balls go perfect with the smooth flavorful grass jelly. All of the shaved ice chunks were at the bottom of the bowl so you'll need to mix it up. Overall, still a good dessert shop, and look forward to going back when it's less crowded and when they're fully stocked. read more

It is so refreshing and just the perfect thing to get after dinner. The texture of their toppings are better than other places I would say. Service: 3/5 You order at the register and pick up the dessert/drinks once your order number is called. After you finish, you throw your own trash away and tray gets put back. Very simple and not much to ask for self-serve places like these. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Nice interior and casual atmosphere with friends to just hang around and talk after dinner. First time trying Meet Fresh ever and the experience was decent. The place itself has a decent amount of seating, but it may be hard for bigger groups. The tables are slightly dirty as they are first come first serve. The portions are big, even considering the fact that we got a large mangoberry shaved ice. The taste was more on the syrupy side, but mixed with the ice was a good combo. The icy taro soup was mediocre, even though they give real taro. Overall, the experience was average, nothing too special but not bad. A good place to go to in the summer to cool down at. read more

Too bad they don't have all the shaved ice options that some of the other out of state stores have (like brown sugar boba shaved ice) but what they do have is delicious. I religiously stop by Meet Fresh if I am ever in the area, it's the perfect dessert in my opinion. My go to is the Ice Grass Jelly Signature which is simply grass jelly shaved ice, topped with grass jelly and taro balls but I always add an extra side of the sweet potato balls (has sweet filling inside). It is cold and refreshing and the right balance of sweetness without leaving you feeling sick, as some desserts do. I've been meaning to try other things on the menu but I'm scared I wouldn't like it as much as the signature so I'm sticking to it! read more

meet fresh has all the asian desserts! i always order the icy taro signature bowl, which comes with taro, potaro balls, boba, and shaved ice. the bowl is quite big - usually i share with a friend or two. on average, the bowls are $11-12. my friends and i were disappointed because they are EXTREMELY stingy with their creamers. we offered to pay for the creamer, yet they still refused to give it to us. when they finally were willing to accept the payment, they said cash only. apparently the creamer only comes with grass jelly. it can get crowded at night and you'll often have to wait for a table. the servers are ok - not the friendliest and some were rude. overall rating: 5/10 read more

The price does not align to the product. For example, we ordered the sweet tofu with sesame mochi and it cost approx. $9.00. The soft tofu was roughly a half ladle size and topped with just syrup to the brim. Other Meet Fresh locations are far more reasonable/generous with their portions. Overall it wasn't bad but nothing to be excited for or really worth posting on an Instagram story. I would probably advise this established to objectively evaluate their pricing and portion size. I get there is hyperinflation right now but $9.00 is a bit overly aggressive. read more

It is an okay place. The business really took its time in their renovation. Taste is fine but nothing crazy about, kinda pricy given their taste and setting isn't exactly up to expectation. Asian desserts mainly focus on young dating couples where environment is the center focus but this place is more like McDonald of things. I would give this place a 3.5. I'll started of by saying this has the best herbal jelly I've ever had. The food is absolutely delicious. Out of all the herbal jelly/bubble drinks I've had this by far takes the cake for the most delicious one. Out of all my restaurant experiences I've never encountered a more rude and unfriendly staff like this place. It's sooo good! My favorite dessert shop! The glass jelly is my go-to. It's not too sweet (best compliment Asians give for dessert!) and the refreshing base matched perfectly with the chewy yummy toppings. The only downside is that it's a bit too expensive (around $10 for one small bowl), otherwise I will be coming here everyday! read more

I was here on 3/14/2022 at around 3:30pm. It was my first time here and the store is very nicely renovated, bright and clean. Unfortunately the customer service is horrible. The staff that took our order did not greet us and have no smiles. He looks like he doesn't even want to be here. But whatever. We waited a very long time for our drinks. Nobody called our number or let people know what drinks were ready for pick up. So we walked over to check the counter. We looked at all the drinks and bags and finally found it in the bag sitting there. They saw us looking around the counter for a long time and was not offer to help us find our order. Then we realized that we were just standing there for a very long time waiting while our order was ready sitting on the counter for a very long time too. They didn't bother to let customers know their orders were ready. With that kind of customer service, I don't think we will be returning. read more
