This review is solely based on their soft opening (I do plan to come back during their grand opening and will update this review) Let me just say that me and my boyfriend LOVES Meet Fresh in Irvine, so when we both found out about this Westminster location, we were happy because this location is literally 5 min away from our house. This location looks great. There were a fair amount of seatings inside and out. Got here around 8pm and there was a line out the door. We waited patiently until we ordered and paid and that was when the cashier girl told us that the taro balls will take an extra 10-15 min to make. It took about 30 minutes to get our orders of 3 ice grass jelly signature and a QQ winter melon tea to go. Btw, the table we sat at were not clean. There were sticky residues. The dessert was still delicious though (minus the giant chunk of ice that refused to break). Anyways, will definitely come back for grand opening and I hope their services improve. read more

Meet Fresh is one of my favorite dessert places because the desserts are refreshing, light, and not too sweet! When I saw the sign while driving by, I was so excited that there was a new location only a mile away from my house. On a Monday night, it was a full house. All the tables were in use both indoor and outdoor, there was a group of people huddling at the front of the store, plus a long line of people waiting to order. I haven't seen a place that busy in forever so I went in low expectations knowing that the wait would be long and there might be a few mistakes. Considering all these factors, the experience wasn't too bad. I did have to wait probably 20 minutes for a togo order so I was surprised it wasn't even longer. My go to is the Icy Grass Jelly Signature and it's simple yet delicious. Shaved ice on the bottom soaked with the light sweet liquid from the grass jelly, topped with grass jelly and taro and potato balls. You top it with the creamer and mix before eating. The portion for takeout felt a little lighter than usual but the taste and quality of what was there wasn't too bad. I also decided to try Fresh Milk Wintermelon Tea which wasn't bad but I wouldn't order it again. It was too milky so the wintermelon flavor was subtle. It definitely seems like they're trying to add life to this plaza with new restaurants, a Meet Fresh, and boba shop next door. If you decide to check out this new location, go in with lowered expectations. They're still in the soft opening phase for a reason which is to train the employees. Mistakes will be made, wait times will be longer than usual, but it'll help the employees get practice to be more efficient. I'd definitely come back again and I'm happy I don't have to drive to Irvine now to get my Meet Fresh fix. read more

Customer service is so bad. The app is even worse and now they started cutting back on the serving size but it's still expensive as ever. On my last trip in I had to order extra herbal ice at the register because you can no longer order it in the app. So I had to wait in line and pay for the extra ice. Well when they handed me my bag it didn't have the ice I paid for so I paid for nothing. I called back and they told me I could get the ice if I came back or on my next visit. Well on the next trip they told me that I needed my receipt to get it. What a joke. To make it all worse is that they are cutting back on portion size. The melody of different textures and flavors combine together beautiful with this dessert. I have never had anything like it before. I'm in love with the Irvine location so I was excited to finally try out this place! Like the other location, seating was very difficult to find since it was so busy. The place feels pretty spacious though. I stood in line for 10 minutes until I was able to order. I got the Icy Grass Jelly Combo B with a Matcha Red Bean Egg Waffle. I was so excited about the egg waffle because I didn't know that was sold (not sure if they have it at Irvine). Luckily, my family and I were able to find seating about 5 minutes after ordering so we were able to wait for our order. It came out faster than we expected (~10 minutes)! The Combo was really refreshing and the Waffle came out so fresh that it was still hot and steaming when we received it. There was always a staff managing the area and helping people find seating which I felt was really nice. I wish the tables were cleaned after before sitting since there was always leftover crumbs/stains that we had to wipe off before sitting. I love their Icy Grass Jelly Signature especially the shaved ice part mixed with their creamer! I feel like the quality and taste is pretty consistent with their other locations. I also got their Matcha Egg Waffle and Original Egg Waffle. The original one was nicely done--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. However, the matcha one was overdone. It was too crispy and made it more dry. The matcha flavor is pretty subtle. They could definitely be more consistent on their egg waffles. It took about 20 min for our order to be done on a weekday which is a pretty long time in my opinion. However, the staff was very nice though. We accidentally dropped both of our egg waffles as soon as they were given to us because they come in cups and don't balance well when you carry the tray. They remade both of them for us and it was very quick so not sure why it took so long originally. But just a fair warning, don't carry the egg waffles on the tray! Hopefully management can fix this issue by putting them in something else besides a cup or let customers know they have to hold the cups and not carry it on the tray. I've been to a lot of locations and this one is not my favorite. I think people have mentioned it in previous comments that this place is understaffed and the products are not up to quality. My orders both came out incorrect and although we asked for them to be corrected, it didn't satisfy. For example, we ordered a red bean soup but there wasn't even one red bean inside. After asking to add red beans, they microwaved a small bowl of red beans and tossed it into my to-go cup. The beans were good but the soup itself was watery and with minimal taste. I also ordered an icy classic and it came out as a hot. Last thing is that we initially wanted to eat there but after asking for our table to be cleaned, the cloth/towel that they used caused the table to have an very unappealing and unsavory smell. This place is a chain. Known to be good at all locations. Except this one. First, they gave us the wrong order. Then missing some. And misunderstood our orders. I remembered getting hot signature jelly did not have red beans. Apparently they do now. It's discussing. And they are super stingy on their half and half! Why!?
