    5. Beef Pot

Not crowded for a Saturday lunch. The restaurant was neat, nicely decorated, and all the people already seated seem to enjoying their food. We were given water and our sodas quickly and were surprised to receive a complimentary fruit drink (not sure what exactly it was but was delightful and refreshing!). We ordered beef hot pots with alot of meat and veg; so yummy! And a side of fries that were perfectly crispy. Definitely will come back again!

Came here 3 weeks ago. Very similar to Tasty Pot. I forgot what I ordered but it was delicious with the dipping sauce. Very spacious parking lot and dinning area. Big enough to accommodate big groups of 10-12. Our waiter was super friendly but hasn't come back to check up on us after our food got delivered. Would definitely come back when I'm back in OC.

Came here on a cold night craving hot pot and didn't feel like dealing with Boiling Point's ridiculous wait. ZZ Hot Pot hit the spot and it's on par in my book. Nguyen was our server and he was great: friendly, attentive, no fuss. The food came out exactly as expected, everything tasted solid, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. No complaints. This is a reliable hot pot spot when you want a quick and causal meal.

I've been here twice now around dinner time during the weekdays and this is one of my new favorite hot pot places compared to Boiling Point. I'm usually able to order my food fast and it has a lot of veggies and meat. I really like the original beef and I like that there are no peanuts in the sauce. When you order you also get a free side of kumquat juice. Parking is quite abundant in this location. I really like the service and ambience as well as the staff are very nice and kind to explain any of the dishes and the seating inside is very modern with really pretty light so I really enjoy talking there as well. I highly recommend trying this location. The food is great quality and great on a cold day.

Located in a plaza, parking was easy to find and plenty of neighboring restaurants. The space is well-lit and clean. We ordered the spicy duck blood and It was well made-- the texture and taste was spot on. For my meal, my hot pot was supposedly Japanese with miso but it tasted more like kombu (seaweed). The hot pot portion was plenty and great choices of ingredient. Highly recommended. Would out this on my dining list.

#1. Zz House Special garlic noodles with shrimp

Went into the restaurant during lunch hours and it was pretty busy. There was happy hour going on for $15 hotpots. I went with my mother and we shared a shrimp garlic with garlic noodles and the zz house special hot pot. The food was really delicious. Honestly I am not too fond of garlic noodles because they all taste the same to me, but when i saw this i was skeptical because it was a bit saucy. However, looks were deceiving because wow this amazed me. It was actually really yummy and garlicy and the sauce was perfect not too savory and not too sweet. Moreover, the hotpot was also really good, what I love about this place is how good their side sauces were . I think for me the sauces make/break how well the broth is because i do really enjoy dipping my food in it. Overall, I really enjoyed this place. I would totally recommend this place and would go here again. I probably would want to try a thai style hot pot next!!

Came to ZZ Hotpot post-rave and it totally hit the spot. I got the beef hotpot and garlic beef noodles, and both were super yum. flavorful, comforting, and just what I needed after a rave. It was super good, the meat was cooked well and not chewy. The sides were nice and the sauces were perfect. they had my favorite sesame sauce and it paired perfectly with everything. The service was great and the ambiance was modern and clean, giving off a nice late-night chill vibe. Perfect spot to unwind and refuel after a long night. definitely coming back.

I've been here a few times and I love it. The best deal is coming before 5pm on weekdays- hot pot is only $15. I always get the Salted Egg shaken fries and the crispy pork intestine. Everything is made to order, so it comes out fresh and hot. The employees are friendly and quick, and I like that each table has a QR code for the menu plus a call button if you need help.

9/10 Mongolian Hot Pot - This is absolutely delicious! With so many options to choose from, you really can't go wrong. I specifically wanted one with udon noodles, and this was the only option that had them. It comes packed with ingredients--two shrimp, udon, mushrooms, cabbage, tofu, and more (I honestly can't remember everything, haha). 8/10 Cost - $22.45 in total with tax and tip--such a great price! I'm so happy about it! Plus, they include a free little honeycomb drink and a generous scoop of rice on the side. I've been back multiple times, and I'll definitely keep coming!

Came again for the beef ($18) and house hotpot ($18). Beef was a little drier this time in both dishes but it fulfills hotpot cravings.

$15 ALL HOTPOTS !! With these tariffs?! In this economy?? What a deal! Another Yelper said this place is just like Boiling Point but without the good sauces and that is accurate. I got the lamb and it was delicious ! Lots of toppings and a flavorful broth. The sauces didn't hit like BP though, but they added an extra punch to the meal.

We ordered the beef hot pot, salmon with garlic fried rice, garlic noodles with crispy salmon and the saltado shaken fries. Everything was good from the service to the food. Service was fast and food was delicious. Beef hot pot had a lot of proteins and veggies and it was very flavorful. I loved all the sauces on the table for dipping. The salmon was very crispy and garlic noodles were very tasty. The garlic fried rice was good and the sauce with the salmon complimented it well. The shaken fries didn't have enough meat and had too much onions and bell peppers but the fries were still nice and crispy and the flavors were there. The complimentary honey kumquat drinks were refreshing. The water however was horrid. I thought coming out of a nice water pitcher that it was filtered but they said it was tap. I enjoyed the food and would come back again.

    Beef hot pot, sizzling steak

Food is great! I come here when I don't want to wait in line for Boiling Point and it's pretty much the same thing for cheaper! The beef hot pot is great - they don't skimp on the toppings and the veggies are fresh. The sizzling steak platter also is juicy and flavorful.

The beef with the scallion pancakes was sooo tender. The cucumber salad was extra refreshing with the perfect balance of savory and tangy. You also can't ever go wrong with spicy wontons, pan fried buns, popcorn chickens, or braised green beans. Yum! Huge bonus: the restaurant is directly connected to Ben Gong's Tea. Loooove the osmanthus milk tea! I'd recommend subbing out the crystal boba and rice with regular boba and tea cubes.

Mine and my bf's go to are the dry fried green beans, mapo tofu, Chong Qing Spicy Chicken, and Yang Chow fried rice. These are more than enough for two people and we always have leftovers to take home. The mapo tofu pairs soooo well with the fried rice and my bf loves the chicken. Green beans are flavorful and crispy as well! Hot and sour soup is HUGE. They aren't consistent in making this because some days it's the perfect balance of tangy and spicy flavor, but other times its tooooo sour. The restaurant is very spacious. I love that you can just order via QR (on your phone).

We waited one hour on my visit, but that is to be expected as the restaurant is quite small. Beef Rolls (5/5): We got two orders of these, and it was our favorite for a reason. Crispy and flaky wrap on the outside and it was packed with flavor. It was very satisfying to eat! Scallion Pancakes (3.5/5): They were plain but that is to be expected, I didn't taste much scallion. It needed the sauce of course! Spicy Wontons (4/5): These are solid and the chili oil does pack a lot of heat. I would say they are on the spicier side, just wish there was a little more depth to it. Seven Grams XLB (4/5): Juicy and flavorful! Not the absolute best I've had, but still worth ordering. Golden Beef Noodle Soup (5/5): This bowl right here was amazing. Green leafy kale paired with the extra hearty soup was what made this bowl a standout dish for me. 100% would order this alone! Mapo Tofu (5/5): Yummy silky tofu cubes with the minced meat sauce were delicious in every bite! I had no other complaints, but this dish gets very filling easily. Seriously, this place is one of my favorite places in Tustin. The service one inside is efficient, and the ambience is a bit noisy and packed, but this place is popular for a reason. I'll definitely revisit this spot when I get the chance.

Seating consider is around 10 tables plus hjgh top stools, so if you are a large group the wait can be long. We stopped by yesterday to try out some new items, which were a mixed bag. First the Cheese Chicken Roll was surprisingly good. Imagine the Beef Roll and swap things around to get something off of a fancy KFC menu. It features a crispy flaky tortilla outside, wrapped around copious chicken (katsu texture), some lettuce for a crunch, some melted cheese, and then a spicy Thousand-Island type dressing. It all pairs well, has a good chicken portion, and texture variation too. My only desire would be for slightly more lettuce and slightly less cheese, otherwise perfect. Crispy Lotus Root Fries are solid, but not a replacement for typical potato fries. The lotus version was not as crispy or crunchy, but would be an Asian version. It comes with ketchup and the same spicy thousand island dressing as the chicken roll. Lastly we were let down by the Pan Fried Shrimp&Chicken Dumplings (Whole Wheat). The whole wheat wrapping had a very slight texture difference, not as chewy as the typical dumpling wrapping. But the inside was the main focus. It seemed like it was a fishball inside, a homogenous color and texture and more reminiscent of fish than of shrimp. It's possible we got the wrong dumpling. Based on this experience we would not order it again. Wheat wrapping would be fine, but the shrimp/chicken filling would be a no.

The restaurant itself is a bit on the small side so you'll be close to your neighbors not that it was an issue personally. My buddy and I ordered our items and shared with each other for a good full experience. We got the three-in-one noodles medium heat and the Ma Hu Beef noodles with mild heat alongside the cucumbers with medium heat as an appetizer. Cucumbers were very fresh! However, they really were just cucumbers with a little heat on them so they weren't anything too special. Once the main entrees came in, I couldn't stop myself from digging in! I forgot to take a picture until after some damage was done to our meals. Three-in-one was so flavorful and sweet with the noodles becoming incredibly soft after having mixed it all together. The star of the show for me though was the Ma Hu Beef noodles. The beef was remarkably tender and delicious and the noodles had a firmer texture that complimented with the flavors. Oddly enough, the mild heat on the Ma Hu Beef was spicier than the medium heat three-in-one! If you find yourself in the mood for Biangbiang noodles, this is definitely the spot to go to. On a side unrelated note about the parking which did not influence my review; the parking here is rough. It's consistently packed so watch out for that. There is a structure across the street that allows parking for the food court. I parked in the structure but I had a bad experience because since it's also parking for the residents above, the gate was closed on us after 8pm. I had to wait for a vehicle to come out and open the gate for not only just me but for multiple other people that had also parked in the structure!Just something to keep in mind. Hopefully that doesn't continue being an issue for future guests.

Steamed Chicken & Corn Dumplings (6 pieces - $13.00): I should have read the menu more closely as these steamed dumplings contained corn and I certainly wasn't expecting this ingredient. They tasted alright. Shrimp with Pork Siu Mai (6 pieces - $12.50): Ironically this appetizer order was probably the best of the three, but damn hefty price tags for 6 small pieces of pork siu mai. *** 3-star for the food but bump down due to (1) the food took a long time to prepare (20+ minutes) despite this being a fast-casual restaurant and (2) the portions were small relative to the somewhat expensive prices. This is the most disappointing restaurant I have experienced out of all the restaurants I have visited that are part of the Chubby Group.

The food came reasonably quickly even though the restaurant was packed when we were there. The dishes were tasty and well executed (*Garlic Pea Shoot was my personal favourite). Generous portion too. Next to the restaurant is a wholesale market (an international grocery market called Rivera Food Service). Location is really convenient if you need to do grocery shopping and grab a quick lunch.

This is a chain and I've been to the ones in LA and always enjoyed the food there. I was happy to see one open up in the OC. The interior is very unassuming and is next to a bulk sized grocery store for Asian food. The signs are almost hidden from the front so you wouldn't know to look for it unless you read these reviews first! We tried a variety of items: Shrimp egg rolls, fish with seaweed, fried pork buns, Shanghai rice cakes, and salt and pepper pork. All the items were really tasty except for the fried pork buns - don't get those. The bun part was very mushy and you didn't get any soup inside. The fish with seaweed and salt and pepper pork chops were excellent. Very flavorful and not too salty. I would definitely get those again. The Shanghai style rice cakes are also very good, nice and chewy, definitely cooked correctly. And you can't go wrong with the shrimp egg rolls - they came with large chunks of shrimp which was nice. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous compared to what you would find in Irvine for similar quality. I would come back!

It's about time I reviewed them! My number one dish goes to the minced pork rice- it's a pretty simple dish, but it's sooo good here for some reason. I've ordered this dish at other Taiwanese restaurants and nothing compares to the one at A&J- the pork is always SO flavorful, never dry and enough to coat all the rice, the egg is perfection, and all the little garnishes compliment the dish so well. It's also just as amazing takeout which I always appreciate. Other go-tos are the spicy beef noodle soup- the beef in it is always so tender and I love getting the thick noodle option because of the rough texture it adds. Beef roll and pan fried dumplings are always a good option for sharing. Have tried a lot of things on their menu and nothing so far has disappointed!

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the beef noodle soup, minced pork over rice, spicy wontons, fried pork chop, and scallion pancake. At first, the portions looked smaller than we expected, but the prices were reasonable and the food ended up being more filling than it appeared. We actually thought we'd need to order several more dishes for our group of four, but by the end of the meal we were completely satisfied. My favorite was definitely the spicy wontons. The wontons themselves were great, but the sauce was flavorful, slightly spicy, and addictive!
