I called for an appointment midday on Friday. Was taken about 15 minutes after the appointment time. Pedicure felt rushed. She never even filed the nails. I LOVE LOVE this nail spot!! I originally came here because one of my friends recommended it, and this is already my second time coming back. The first time, I got a similar Y2K-style set but in purple (it was even posted on their Instagram story!), and this time I went with these pink Y2K nails and I'm OBSESSED. The attention to detail and nail art are seriously amazing, and they always bring the vision together so well. Really sweet hardworking Viet ladies. They used to own a shop near the Hickey Costco but they wanted to branch out and show clients that they can do really good nail art, so SF is the place to be! I only came for a pedicure since cute clean toes are a treat for me. Doing it myself is not the same. Never as clean. LOL They did a great job cleaning up my feet and making it feel nice and new. Some callus work, hot stone and lotion-ing. It was a weekday afternoon and the place was empty. Really hoping they do well. The owner really believes in their work and if you need fixing. They'll do it. Super clean and spacious location. I bet it'd be great for a mini girls mani/pedi day. Price I guess is reasonable, gel pedi is $55, I added chrome so it was +15. But they're running their grand opening deal of 20% so $56 is a good deal. I'll probably be back, easy parking, street and metered available. Close to home! read more

They did a decent job in the nails, even though the gel seems somewhat thick (this is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1), but I don't recommend them for waxing at all. When I got home from my appointment, I saw how poorly that job was actually done. Wax was everywhere: my clothes, my sandals, my heels, my floor (from stepping on it with my waxy heels), my cat. Total disaster. And to make things even worse, they missed a bunch of hair! I'm talking giant patches of hair. I don't think the technician had any proper training in waxing. She had me roll over that table several times which is completely unnecessary, provided an esthetician knows what they are doing. When I called them, the receptionist was very polite and apologetic, she told me to come back so that they can put some acetone on me to remove the wax. First, I don't have all day to spend on a pretty straightforward procedure. Second, the acetone suggestion sounded just insane, because they are not supposed to use acetone on skin, it's for wax removal from surfaces only! I really don't think they know what they are doing to be honest. I ended up just fixing it myself at home, within a fraction of time, with a fraction of mess. I'll continue just doing my own wax moving forward. read more

Came here to get a gel pedicure the other day. Jenny was my technician and she was very warm and kind. I appreciate that she took her time and was gentle. I usually get a little nervous getting pedis bc of the fear of getting cut but that was not the case here. I'm not sure what happened but one of the polish on my toes also chipped a few hours after I got them done. I called them to let them know and they were very accommodating and said I could come back the next day to fix it. When I came back, everyone was still very warm and kind. Service is amazing here. **Response to the Salon's Reply** I think you may be getting me confused with another customer. My nails were buffed and properly prepped. No one explained to me the that I could come back to have them fixed. Offering to fix them isn't always helpful as customers could be pressed for time or leaving for travel, etc. It's much better if they are done correctly the first time. I was excited for the new salon but had a disappointing experience: * Just like the previous owner, this place has poor selection of regular nail polish. Would be nice if they had the trendy shades. * No one could help me find a sheer rose color. The color they could find could hardly be seen and started chipping the next day. * The place has an unfriendly vibe. Only 1 tech in the place spoke to me and it wasn't even the tech I was assigned to. * Manicure felt super rushed, aggressive filing, sloppy painting and when I pointed it out I was briskly told "I know. Later." * Overall, for the quality of service, the prices can't be justified. I'm guessing they rely on location and pricing of similar places on West Portal and the mall. I didn't even bother asking about the discounted Grand Opening pricing sign in the window. read more

How I really wanted to like this place. I went in for my first appointment and the owner was very nice and helpful, she kept telling me how much of a discount she was giving for new customers which honestly didn't matter to me I'm just looking for a good nail shop I can go to with great customer service and great work. I got a pedicure and my two big toes acrylic for the first time and she assured me she would take care of me, it was a bit thick but she told me it's because of the acrylic so I was fine with it. I came back 3 weeks later for a pedicure and I guess a fill for my 2 big toes with acrylic and she told me I don't need a fill because I don't like it thick which I agreed. I rushed out of the nail shop because cars were being towed and the meter mate was giving tickets I just wanted to make sure I wasn't one of them. My pedicure looked fine but when I got home I noticed my right big toe nail was so thick it didn't look the same as the left so I called and asked if she can just fix it. She didn't want to fix it she kept telling me they were busy. Also my toe on the side of my big toes were chipped and I get gel pedicures. I went in since she didn't want to offer me an appointment to fix it and the shop was empty, she remembered who I was and said yes we're busy I can't fix it. Also this lady told me her name was Victoria and when the property manager came in she told him her name was Angie. Also they reside the sterile bags they keep the nail tools in. read more

I came across this place when I was searching for nail salons in the city and decided to pop in the next morning. They took me in very quickly despite being a walk in. Angie, who did my nails was so nice and attentive to detail. I came in with multiple inspo pictures where some designs were a bit advanced but Angie tried her best to give me something very similar to the vibes I was going for. second time coming in for a gel pedi and this time i left with an open wound :/ my nail tech was too busy talking with the other employees and was scrubbing my foot way too hard in the same area for a good minute or two straight. by the time i realized it started to hurt i saw that my foot was bleeding and pointed it out. she said sorry and proceeded to lotion my feet and legs and went right over that spot and it started stinging. wasnt until 5 minutes later she finally got a bandaid. didnt even offer a discount and had to pay full price. 2 days later and the wound is still pretty deep, not a surface level cut. hurts when i walk. also the paint job isnt nice and some of the gel is flooding the cuticles. read more

I splurged on the deluxe package ($70) but since they had their grand opening three weeks ago all customers get 20% off. They steamed my legs, wrapped them in hot towels, and brought out the spa supplies on this beautiful rolling table with a gorgeous tea-light candle, flowers, orange slices and rose petals in the bathwater with floral bath salt.
