Came here to get a gel pedicure the other day. Jenny was my technician and she was very warm and kind. I appreciate that she took her time and was gentle. I usually get a little nervous getting pedis bc of the fear of getting cut but that was not the case here. I'm not sure what happened but one of the polish on my toes also chipped a few hours after I got them done. I called them to let them know and they were very accommodating and said I could come back the next day to fix it. When I came back, everyone was still very warm and kind. Service is amazing here. They did a decent job in the nails, even though the gel seems somewhat thick (this is why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1), but I don't recommend them for waxing at all. When I got home from my appointment, I saw how poorly that job was actually done. Wax was everywhere: my clothes, my sandals, my heels, my floor (from stepping on it with my waxy heels), my cat. Total disaster. And to make things even worse, they missed a bunch of hair! I'm talking giant patches of hair. I don't think the technician had any proper training in waxing. She had me roll over that table several times which is completely unnecessary, provided an esthetician knows what they are doing. When I called them, the receptionist was very polite and apologetic, she told me to come back so that they can put some acetone on me to remove the wax. First, I don't have all day to spend on a pretty straightforward procedure. Second, the acetone suggestion sounded just insane, because they are not supposed to use acetone on skin, it's for wax removal from surfaces only! I really don't think they know what they are doing to be honest. I ended up just fixing it myself at home, within a fraction of time, with a fraction of mess. How I really wanted to like this place. I went in for my first appointment and the owner was very nice and helpful, she kept telling me how much of a discount she was giving for new customers which honestly didn't matter to me I'm just looking for a good nail shop I can go to with great customer service and great work. I got a pedicure and my two big toes acrylic for the first time and she assured me she would take care of me, it was a bit thick but she told me it's because of the acrylic so I was fine with it. I came back 3 weeks later for a pedicure and I guess a fill for my 2 big toes with acrylic and she told me I don't need a fill because I don't like it thick which I agreed. I rushed out of the nail shop because cars were being towed and the meter mate was giving tickets I just wanted to make sure I wasn't one of them. My pedicure looked fine but when I got home I noticed my right big toe nail was so thick it didn't look the same as the left so I called and asked if she can just fix it. She didn't want to fix it she kept telling me they were busy. Also my toe on the side of my big toes were chipped and I get gel pedicures. I went in since she didn't want to offer me an appointment to fix it and the shop was empty, she remembered who I was and said yes we're busy I can't fix it. Also this lady told me her name was Victoria and when the property manager came in she told him her name was Angie. Also they reside the sterile bags they keep the nail tools in. read more

Really sweet hardworking Viet ladies. They used to own a shop near the Hickey Costco but they wanted to branch out and show clients that they can do really good nail art, so SF is the place to be! I only came for a pedicure since cute clean toes are a treat for me. Doing it myself is not the same. Never as clean. LOL They did a great job cleaning up my feet and making it feel nice and new. Some callus work, hot stone and lotion-ing. It was a weekday afternoon and the place was empty. Really hoping they do well. The owner really believes in their work and if you need fixing. They'll do it. Super clean and spacious location. I bet it'd be great for a mini girls mani/pedi day. Price I guess is reasonable, gel pedi is $55, I added chrome so it was +15. But they're running their grand opening deal of 20% so $56 is a good deal. I'll probably be back, easy parking, street and metered available. Close to home! read more

I came across this place when I was searching for nail salons in the city and decided to pop in the next morning. They took me in very quickly despite being a walk in. Angie, who did my nails was so nice and attentive to detail. I want everyone to know that we have over 50 customers who have been happy with 5-star reviews! So, when you have one customer who has something negative to say, please do not allow that to affect you coming in and getting a chance to have a wonderful experience‍. First off, Angie is the manager of the shop; she is not the owner! Angie is a very humble spirit & she is a people pleaser because she wants everyone to be happy with the services they receive. She always goes above and beyond to make sure all of her customers are happy. I've seen her in action, and there are definitely times when she's hustling from one customer to the next after a slow morning, juggling walk-up appointments and helping others with nail issues--even those without an appointment. She is definitely a positive, busy bee. Because English is not her first language, some may misinterpret her words, but she has no harmful intent. She is a genuinely kind and naturally caring person. All the ladies who work there are equally warm, respectful, professional, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. I have over 20 years of experience in the medical field, specializing in the preparation and sterilization of surgical instruments before surgeries and after medical procedures. I saw their autoclave machine in the back, watched the procedure, and confirmed that the way they sterilize all nail tools is approved by the Health Board and complies with OSHA rules and regulations! Autoclave-sterilized envelopes are never reused! Only a customer's lack of understanding or knowledge would lead them to falsely claim that the autoclave-sterilized bags or envelopes are being reused. First, clean the nail tools with a chemical treatment, rinse them with water, place them back in the autoclave sterilization bags, and then put them in the autoclave machine for final sterilization. Autoclave-sterilized bags can only be used once. Because of the material they are made of, they can only withstand one autoclave treatment and can only be used once! So, I pray that the customer who is extremely upset and disappointed by the services finds a nail shop in San Francisco that will meet her needs, her demands, and her satisfaction. Angie is the best. They are the worst! I treated a 12-year old to a manicure, as a bounding moment. First of all, I had a reservation. Second, the shop was completely empty! Third, they didn't understand English. Last, but not least, they were unfriendly and behaved as though they didn't want to be bothered. They did have the child wash her hands.
