This venue used to be a high tea place called Annvita English Tearoom, so the decor is exactly the same but now serving Chinese food. The spice they used for the shrimp skewers were really good. The shrimp tasted fresh even after fried. Moving on to the clams, the signature sauce was nice, but there were way too many small bits of broken shells in there which interrupts the flavour. For an extra $1.50, you can add vermicelli as the base. The black truffle chicken rice tasted dry and not enough truffles, I can't really taste the dry fresh truffles. For the price point, I think more truffles or even truffle oil can be added as I can't even smell the scent. In terms of service, the waiter was very hard working with a good attitude, he changed our plates and dishes after we finished our clams. All the tables were full, and only 1-2 waiters serving, but still pretty efficient. The house special chicken wings were pretty good. I will probably come back to try other dishes.

my friend and I were craving dessert and stumbled into this restaurant. I had low expectations coming into this restaurant as i had never heard of it before but we wanted to try something new. upon walking in I noticed, the interior design of this place is very cute and looks like a cafe so it's perfect for dates ! as a bingu lover I was excited to try the bingsu here 6.99 . they had four flavours mango, strawberry , matcha and soy bean. we decided to get strawberry and matcha after hearing that the mango was all ok :( the bingsu came in medium sized bowls and were both beautifully decorated and I think sharing two is the perfect amount for two people or even one if you want a light dessert the strawberry was fresh and sweet and the snow itself was one of the best I've had. it had a strong milk flavour and a sweetness to it making it taste good just on its own. many times I find bingsu to lack the sauce that makes the snow taste good but this one had just the right amount of strawberry purée and just eating the snow taste yummy!! this one is great for fruit lovers and you will love it 4/5 as for me I loved the matcha one. it had the perfect ingredients of matcha ice cream, matcha powder, red bean and roasted almonds that paired with each other amazingly. I liked each and every aspect of it. since this one you get so much more stuff I would say it's the better deal. this one once again the snow was delicious and it was one of the best bingsus I've had. it's up there with more popular chains such as cups. 5/5 overall I would definitely come back to this place for desserts and perhaps try out the food next time. the bingsus here are at a cheaper price but a smaller portion so that's something to take note of. the only thing that I would say needs to improve is the service as when I asked for a bowl instead of bringing two for the two people they brought one so we had to ask again for another. along with that it took a while to catch their attention when ordering or paying but it's just a minor issue. everyone try this place out :)

We went for the Chef's recommendation 酸菜鱼。Portion was big enough to comfortably share between two people. Really authentic taste! Just wished it was a bit more spicy. We also got a bowl of rice to go with the soup. It was really good. The service can be improved however; the waitress who processed our bill (not our server) became very stingy when I accidentally paid with credit instead of debit. Cute ambience inside.

Beautiful, Instagram-worthy shots of food and decor are guaranTEAd here. I barely wanted to eat my food because it was so pretty. The inspiration for the decor seems to be an English garden party. Tables and booths appeared to be wood, and plates with the names of every imaginable tea decorated the walls. Unfortunately, not all of those teas were on the menu. Luckily, the menu itself was Asian rather than English-inspired. I got fried chicken pieces and matcha red bean snow, and my friend got the black sesame cheesecake. WARNING: the fried chicken pieces have quite a kick. If you can't handle the heat, you can't handle this chicken. I rather liked it. The matcha red bean snow was my favorite. Unlike carnival shaved ice, this snow is light and fluffy and infused with milk. The flavor is evenly distributed throughout. The red bean adds the perfect amount of sweetness. I dare say this rivals Sugar Marmelade's offering.

Great diner just a few minutes walking south from Yonge & Finch! My boyfriend and I were looking for a new dessert place since we've tried almost every sweet treat spot around the area (Sugar Marmalade, ZenQ, Mabu Station, etc.) and so we paid a visit to Meet You. The restaurant certainly follows a classical-royal English high tea vibe. Interiors run on a pretty Tiffany turquoise shade which is so Instagrammable! However, the background music playing was definitely off the theme but it did not bother me at all. I opted for Tiramisu cheesecake and my boyfriend got berries and banana crepe. The Tiramisu cake was decent and well-presented. The creamy, buttery whipped mascarpone is to die for, yet unfortunately, the layers of moist lady fingers lacked their signature flavor! They tasted like they were dipped in cacao, instead of the classic combination of rum and coffee. Regarding my boyfriend's crepe, I'm able to tell that it was made from scratch since there was a longer wait for it. The crepe was wrapped with light whipped cream and banana, topped with berries and chocolate drizzle. It retained a soft crisp until the very last bite which was amazing! We did enjoy it very much. Service was courteous. Both of our servers were very nice and accommodating. Would come back to try their food and beverages for an updated review!

This Chinese restaurant has replaced the previous high tea joint. They have basically kept the decor as is, and just changed the name at the front. we had ordered 3 different things on the menu here, which was the tomato sauce baked rice, the beef noodle , and the mango rice ball desert. The service here was decent, as is the servers generally seemed to care about what they did. The baked rice the first thing was i find ridiculous was when i asked for more sauce because i specifically saw a previous review how dry it looked. i figured that more sauce might save it. the reply they gave me was their "chef" has proportioned everything and is unwilling to add more sauce, now this is a double edge sword, either you have a chef who is so good at what he/she does that they know how to make a perfect portion of everything which is why you don't change the portions. or that this food is actually some form of frozen food pre-made that they just need to heat up in the oven therefore they literally can't add more sauce because its prepacked food. After tasting the baked rice, i have to say it is probably pre-made food. it is not very good, the rice was dry, the sauce was almost non existent, for a dish that depends on a good sauce, and the rice is for some odd reason a flavored rice and not fried rice which is the tradition for a dish like this. Also the portion they gave us with the price is completely unreasonable. with the amount they charge it definitely shouldn't be tv dinner size. to be honest at this point i really wanted to just 2 star them and be done with it. my wife however enjoyed their beef noodle and said the beef was pretty good, and also enjoyed the desert, which is why it is back up to 3 star. personally. i'm not impressed by either the portion, quality or pricing. the service was decent, and the decor was nice, although that was because the previous tenant did all the decor. personally i would not recommend this place in particular unless you are desperate for food and its the only place open without a wait time.

Cute decor. Mediocre desserts. This place looks pretty trendy with it's European cafe decor and magazine styled menus. Just as we entered, a waitress immediately spoke to us in Mandarin. Although this is common in Markham, it's strange for a place in a dominantly Korean area. Another waiter ended up greeting and helping us to a table. The menu has a ton of different items. We came at 10PM mainly looking for dessert. They have a selection of crepes ($11.99), toasts ($15.99), shaved ice ($6.99?), And cheesecakes ($8.99). We ordered a cake and crepe to share with 3 girls. The desserts were really meh. They weren't bad but they definitely weren't great. Some of the waitresses took really long to flag down for service despite the restaurant being pretty empty. Meh food and bad service. Probably wouldn't come back.

Came here for dessert after having dinner in the area. I wanted to try the sorbet but unfortunately they didn't have any so I opted for a Taro Smoothie. It was a pretty dec size and tasted good. My fiancé had the Chilled Mango Pomelo Sago which he said was pretty average. Probably wouldn't return for dessert, but maybe for the food next time!

Meet you is located at the old High tea location and the decor hasn't changed much. It is a weird mix to this place with high tea decor and Chinese food. Not a big fan of it at all. The food here is more expensive for what you get in average Chinese Restaurant. The MaPo tofu with rice was okay and the baked cream shrimp & cheese on rice was okay but definitely not worth the price $13 as there was only 5 shrimps. I did like the staff as they were friendly and attentive. With so many choices in the area I am not sure I will be back anytime soon.

I've been dealing with some dental pain, and my partner is just getting over a nasty cold, so we wanted something gentle, nourishing, and easy on the body - not a heavy, greasy brunch. Bonjuk's whole vibe of "comfort food with heart" really delivered. We'd only done takeout before, so this was our first time dining in. The space is small but really welcoming - warm lighting, clean and simple decor, and comfortable seating that makes you want to slow down and relax. It's not a huge place, so there aren't tons of indoor seats, but that also gives it a cozy, intimate feel. Service was friendly and low‑pressure, which we appreciated when we were both feeling a bit under the weather. We ordered the Chicken Porridge ($23) and the Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap ($24), both for dine‑in (prices don't include tax and tip). The chicken porridge was savoury, and soothing, with a rich broth that felt healing without being heavy. It was easy to eat with my sore teeth and left me feeling comforted, not stuffed. The beef bulgogi bibimbap was a nice contrast - colourful, fresh, and full of flavour. The bulgogi was sweet, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the mix of veggies and egg made it feel like a balanced, healthy meal. It's definitely a step up from typical brunch fare if you're looking for something lighter but still satisfying. One thing that really stood out was their baby porridge menu. It's such a thoughtful touch - separate, gentle, low‑salt options for little ones. As someone who's seen new parents struggle to find safe, easy meals out, this felt genuinely helpful and kind. It's easy to see why their marketing feels like they actually care about making food that's good for people, not just trendy. If you're looking for the best value, I'd say go for takeaway. We noticed a steady stream of takeout orders, and the overall costs are slightly lower that way, especially when there are discounts offered by different order platform. Overall, Bonjuk Canada is a good spot when you want something comforting, healthy, and easy on the stomach - whether you're recovering from illness, have dental issues, or just want a more mindful brunch.

(NGL~ i wanted to try it earlier but i always see a line and i just gave up) I went in on a Sunday Afternoon, wasnt too busy so i felt lucky! There arent as many food items to choose from comparing to other Thai Reso so do check the menu before coming I got the beef tom yum soup noodles (rice noodles) and the Pad See Ew. It took around 10 minutes for the food to be served (not slow but wont say fast). Flavor was good, relatively more on the saltier/favorable side. Tom yum soup was more on the tangy(sour-y) side but still tasted good. The beef brisket was kinda hard to choose, but it wasn't for all the pieces, so the good ones were nice and tender, but some i just had to spit it out Overall 4/5. I dont think im going to come back as there are other Thai reso i prefer but always nice to try new things.

Service was slow but then again it appears their Summerlicious menu is a big hit. My significant other raved about her hamachi appetizer, my tempura was ok, vegetables were cooked perfectly, not overcooked and mushy, it remained firm and paired will with the tempura batter, the 2 shrimp were rather thin and a little undercooked. Main entrees were the sushi platter and black cod which we shared. Sushi in my personal opinion was nothing outstanding, however my significant other said the uni sushi had good uni flavor. The black cod was cooked well, moist and succulent. The breaded scallops were small but also cooked perfectly where they also remained moist and tender. After all of this then came dessert. I managed to eat the skewer of 3 dangos (chewy glutinous rice balls), a very dense dessert. I decided not to press my luck and not to eat the large mochi. She ordered the Dafuku which were 2 large mochi 1 filled with strawberry and 1 with green tea, these were also going home. All in all a great dinner, beats eating at the First Markham Place food court, although I do like the crispy roast pork and char siu.
