(NGL~ i wanted to try it earlier but i always see a line and i just gave up) I went in on a Sunday Afternoon, wasnt too busy so i felt lucky! There arent as many food items to choose from comparing to other Thai Reso so do check the menu before coming I got the beef tom yum soup noodles (rice noodles) and the Pad See Ew. It took around 10 minutes for the food to be served (not slow but wont say fast). Flavor was good, relatively more on the saltier/favorable side. Tom yum soup was more on the tangy(sour-y) side but still tasted good. The beef brisket was kinda hard to choose, but it wasn't for all the pieces, so the good ones were nice and tender, but some i just had to spit it out Overall 4/5. I dont think im going to come back as there are other Thai reso i prefer but always nice to try new things. read more

Saw this on Instagram and wanted to give it a try. I got the yentafo and the boat noodle. I have only had boat noodle once so I can't comment on authenticity. The soup of the boat noodle was more flavourful than the yentafo. Not a very memorable meal overall. Aside from the boat noodle soup, all the toppings were mid - pork was very dry, shrimp were overcooked, balls weren't bouncy. I love sweet and sour soup but wasn't a huge fan of the yentafo soup. The meatball skewer and desserts were fine as well but nothinf really stood out for me to go back. They were around $20 a bowl for the medium but it's not much bigger compared to the small. The place is small but ending seats for small and large groups. The restrooms are downstairs. The service was average at best. read more

I love their North York location just as much as their original downtown location. If anything, I might like this location even more! The seating area is more spacious, and they even sell pad thai for take out! It didn't see this option in the dine in menu, so I'm not sure if it's exclusively for take out. I really appreciate this Thai addition to the Willowdale community. The food is spectacular, unique and authentic! The price is also very fair! read more

Ordered the pad thai and the chicken noodles here. The pad thai was very bland and not very tasty. Thicken noodle dish is salty and noodles were overcooked. I did try their downtown location when it first opened and their signaure boat noodle is very good. read more

The restaurant wasn't too busy when I went on a weekend for dinner. We had the pad kra pao and the pad see ew. The pad see ew had great flavor from the wok and the noodles were nice and chewy! The pad kra pad was very spicy last time when we got medium so we asked for less spice this time. Will definitely have to try one of their boat noodles next time. read more

Mom and I came by 555 Boat Noodles in North York recently and it was honestly such a comforting meal, especially with how cold it's been. They serve authentic Thai street food, inspired by dishes that were traditionally eaten along Thailand's riverbanks. Everything felt very warming and hearty, which is exactly what I was in the mood for. We tried their Tom Yum hotpot and it was really good. It came with shrimp, squid, shrimp & pork dumplings, fish cakes, Chinese broccoli, and bean sprouts. The broth was sour, spicy, and super comforting. That being said, the spice definitely builds up as you keep eating... it was delicious, but it slowly sneaks up on you lol. The boat noodles are a must order. The broth is rich and savoury, and you can really taste why it's their signature. It's one of those bowls that just feels satisfying from start to finish. We also ended with mango sticky rice and the toddy palm cake, which was a nice way to balance everything out after all the spice. Overall, a solid spot if you're craving Thai food, especially during colder weather. If you're in the North York area, it's definitely worth checking out. read more

This was on the curious want to try list. Menu focuses mostly on boat style noodles but there are rice dishes and fried noodle (pad Thai, pad see ew etc) options as well. Flavours are very much Thai/Malaysian. When you order your soup noodles you get an option of noodles (rice, vermicelli or won ton noodles. Menu is complete with dessert options are well. Prices are decent. A small bowl of noodles will set you back about 14 bucks depending on what you choose. The larger size is about 3 bucks more. Interior is spacious and clean. What was ordered: Deep fried wontons Beef Pad Thai Beef boat noodles Braised beef boat noodles Lemon pork noodles Portions are decent. You get 7 generous sized wontons stuffed with pork. Broth for the soup noodles was good, generous pieces of beef The pad Thai looked a little dry but the flavours were okay. It wasn't busy so service was quick and attentive. We had a nut allergy at the table and this was taken seriously. Good place for a casual meal. We would consider coming again to try some other items on the menu. read more

Location/Service This place is right in the heart of Yonge/Finch area, a little bit on the south side near Empress Walk. Parking along the street and surrounding is readily available. Really like the decor of this place, it's modern mix with traditional. Since this is traditionally on a boat, there were a lot of different boat elements that makes it so unique and nostalgic. Staff were very nice, helped explain some of the menu items and attentive to give us water and condiments. Orders came pretty quickly as well. Food Got invited to try a selection of their menu items. Most famous for their boat noodle, it is worth going with the classic noodle that's rich, comforting and packed with depth. Now their noodles are a little bit more 'broken' and not long and slurping, but I think it's the way it's meant to be. You can also choose your of meat, beef was my go-to. Other note worthy items include Luok Thim (Steamed meatballs + dumpling with spicy sauce), Look Chin Tod (Crispy fried meatballs with tamarind sauce), Yum Woon Sen (Glass Noodles with Minced pork, shrimp, onion, tomato, snow fungus, Chinese celery) and Pork Rice (Pork + pork ribs + garlic + coriander with a clear soup on the side). Their shareable appetizers are pretty good and portion size overall is enough to share and feel full. I always wanted to try this spot and glad to see it available in North York vs having the need to go downtown. read more

This is their 2nd location so glad it's closer!! New uptown location with a stand alone store front. Ordered the famous boat noodles and also the supreme yentafo. The boat noodle I thought would be savoury but it was also tangy, not sure if it's tamarind or lime. Also got the supreme yentafo, the broth was a blend of Tom yum and the yentafo. Spicy and tangy, and filled with seafood, shrimp, squid, fish cakes and wonton. Got both soups in the small sizes and it was enough. I'm always down to eat some tasty noodles (and soup), so we figured we should probably check out 555 Boat Noodles. The downtown location seemed like a pain to get to, so this North York spot was a no-brainer. We showed up a little after noon and managed to snag one of the few remaining tables. (A few minutes after we sat down, the place was completely packed so our timing was perfect.) Obviously I had to order the Boat Noodles ("Chinese Broccoli, Garlic, Coriander, Bean Sprouts, Onion"). I got that with braised beef and Rice Noodles, as per our server's recommendation. It arrived a little while later and looked incredible. And my first bite proved that it tasted as good as it looked. My first thought was wow, this is definitely quite cilantro forward, which wasn't a problem given that I love that particular herb. That broth is the big winner. It's super flavorful and honestly I could've consumed a jug of it. The rest of the concoction is just as tasty, although I will admit the extremely soggy noodles were a disappointment. Today marks the second day of the North York location opening! The boat noodle, you can choose between beef, braised beef or pork. The braised beef was so soft and nicely marinated. In terms of the noodle, I chose the rice noodle and it went very well with the concentrated beef broth. The pork ribs noodle was tasty. The ribs fall off the bone. The fried wonton, the skin was a little thick and it was a little too meaty. The Lok Chin Tod, fried meatballs with tamarind was tasty. The service was friendly and fast. I order a medium size boat noodle and a small size Tom yum noodle soup. The portions were just enough and a little bit on the smaller side. The Tom yum soup was delicious and full of favour. Should have order this in the larger size. I would order again. The boat noodle soup was a strong 5-spice flavor with a kick of spicy. It's was ok! We finished our meal with the Toddy palm bun, which was a yellow sponge cake with coconut shaving. It was good, but portion wise it was also small. It just didnt feel like I was getting the value for what you were paying. I wouldn't order this and save the $$ for something else. read more

Reminiscing the boat noodles I ate in Ayutthaya Thailand in Lek's Michelin star restaurant savory but not oily and spicy 555 Boat Noodles is as authentic Thai as you can get here in Canada however it's not as good as if you are in Thailand I would rate this as average. For those who are not very familiar with the boat noodles it's soup base is made from pork blood. The fish Balls are amazing I greatly recommend. This place specializes in noodles. We got a tom yum sea food noodle and a beef noodle. The seafood tastes really fishy rather than fresh. The place feels more like a pho place rather than a regular Thai restaurant. And there are plenty of better phos that this. read more

555 has just landed in Willowdale and is a welcome addition to the Asian food scene. The classic boat noodles are in a rich mineral broth and served with a choice of meats. The shrimp and pork dumplings are springy and well-seasoned on top. The pork rice was okay, although the clear broth was quite nice, and I'd return to try their pork soup in that same broth. The longan pandan drink is a refreshing alternative to the traditional Thai iced tea, and the coconut pandan dessert is a cute way to end the meal. The ambiance is lively in a small space, and the servers are friendly. Overall I'm happy to see a solid Thai choice in this area. read more
