Love this supermarket mainly for its hot foods section! My husband and I have started going weekends to pick up some kimbap and sushi for lunch. We usually eat the sushi for lunch the same day and leave the kimbap in the fridge for the next day. I've been dipping the kimbap in egg and frying it on the a pan with oil to heat it up! It's a trick I learned from Googling ;) the flavor of the kimbap is exactly what you'd expect, and price wise, it's about $6-7 for a container full. We also started getting the California rolls and Salmon nigiri sushi for $11; my only complaint is that the cuts of salmon are a bit inconsistent. The salmon my husband got was awesome, but my cut of salmon was stringy and a bit fishy :( We also ventured out to try the crispy fried chicken (with bones). It's good, but better baked to heat it up before eating. As for the rest of the supermarket, it's pretty average. The selection and variety isn't amazing and could be fresher, but since it's one of the closer Asian marts to us, we'll take it! For example, the bok choy didn't look as fresh as what we'd get at 99 Ranch. And at some point, we were looking for quail eggs for hot pot, but they didn't have any. This was my experience a few months ago though - since then, they got the quail eggs I was looking for in stock. The one thing I will give them props for is their frozen shabu meat! We got the pork and beef cuts recently; they were a bit expensive, but they tasted amazing for homemade hot pot. I'd recommend shopping at K Market if you're looking to do homemade hotpot since they have most of the hotpot ingredients you'd want! read more

I would say I like the store in general. It's new. It's clean, and it has most of the Asian items that you're looking for. Today's experience just let me learn the lesson that reading receipt before you leave the store is very important. And even though I said no for bags, the lady is like one bag and I don't feel the energy for arguing so I let it be. But do read your receipt before you go, otherwise you just let the laziness of cashier rules over you. read more

Love pretty much everything about this market. Great service from the bakery dept to the cashiers & even the stockers. Price here is much more reasonable compared to Hankook or H-Mart also the quality is better. I love that they have 30% off on Kimbap (which is really fresh) they say it's happy hour but it seems like it's all day every day. I also love love their spicy soy marinated crab, always so fresh and packed with flavors. It's also nice because there is plenty of parking, they have people who actually greet you hello & have a good day. They are happy to take the cart or basket from you, they have wipes & sanitizer readily available at the front door. Also idk if they are still doing this but if you spend a certain amount of money here they give you a gift. Once I got a huge bottle of sanitizer and another gime I got a 30pk of seaweed. The K Market is great if you're looking for something a little more affordable than H-Mart. Don't get me wrong I like H-Mart as well. This is the first time I've been to this market after hearing about it from a friend. The vegetables are priced descent and they have variety packs if you want to do hot pot. The market is off of El Camino Real in Sunnyvale next to Tesla and across from Safeway. There's plenty of parking so no need to worry. At first I thought there would be lines out the door but surprisingly there wasn't. They sell the Ghost Pepper instant noodles here if you're up for the challenge. I bought one to try so wish me luck! I was looking forward to their hot deli but I came around 4pm and majority of the hot meals and packed meals were gone. I recommend to come early if you can. They have a great selection of food and they even have a bakery which I will try the next time I go. You'll be able to find what you need at a bargain price. read more

Newly-ish opened place (since I've been in the bay at least) with the grand opening signs still hung up and the grand opening prices for the deli still boasting a 30% discount! The bakery here is also adorable with a variety of cute cream puffs, cookies and cakes. It's wonderful to see another Korean store... my mom and I usually go to Hankook or Kyopo which is in the area but decided to stop on by when this newly opened and months later... its definitely an Itaewon vibe and city food ... the selection of veggies are decent but not as much as Hankook... not as much variety however still fresh and good priced. This location for us is best for prepared or pre made meals in my opinion.. for the person on the go or unable to cook , maybe even looking for a quick pick me up as this store caters to pre made bowls, meals , desserts and Ban Chan... so if has its plus side and benefits which is why I rated it a 4... the food tastes good, the products are as expected however I docked it a star for the mere fact that the isles are too narrow... I've been so excited about K Market since it opened. After hearing great things about it, I decided to check it out myself. As someone who is extremely germ conscious even before the pandemic, I was relieved to hear that K Market values sanitation by offering hand sanitizer, gloves, and wipes for carts prior to entering the market. I typically bring my own sanitizer and gloves but I always forget about the wipes. There's also a security guard up front to ensure that everyone has a face covering on. Once you enter, you can see a plethora of veggies that aren't offered at all Korean supermarkets such as Thai basil and the Vietnamese veggies for pho. Most veggies are saran-wrapped with stuff like green onions still exposed. There are many variations of meat for whatever you're cooking - thinly sliced beef for shabu shabu, quality samgypsal for Korean bbq, or just chicken breast for stir fry? Continue perusing the store and you'll find the typical aisles of seaweed, ramen, and various snacks. What impressed me was their selection of hot deli items such as fried chicken, japchae, kimbap, tteokbokki, rice bowls. Tentatively, hot deli items are 30% off. They also have a fresh hot food section that sells the Korean hot dogs and other fried snacks. While K Market is clean, sanitary, and have great food at the hot deli, I do see less variety within categories. For example, we usually buy different types of instant jajangmyeon but they only had one type to offer. I have seen more variety at competing Korean markets but I will still return because it's so clean and the hot deli is so delicious. read more

Amazing! I live 45 miles away from here.. But every week I try to pass by this grocery store.. I love their meats, it's priced a lot cheaper than HMart, though I love Hmart regardless! Well, there are products that Kmart has that Hmart doesn't, vice versa.. I love their bakery too and their deli as well.. When I need a quick food for my children's lunches I go here. They have Spicy crispy chicken, sweet crispy chicken, japchae, beef bulgogi, bibimbap, and more! But the best thing here in KMart, is the service. I would call this a more upscale and shiny version of a Korean grocery store. The H marts that I am more used to are a little more 'gritty' shall we say. Nevertheless, this place is not lacking in supply. The deli is of course my most favorite part. Substantial amounts of panchan and other side dishes are readily available. The aisles are wide and fully stocked. If you really want to blow your mind head to the back fridges where you'll find a whole wall full of kimchi. They also carry some specialty items such as the fermented spicy crab. If you have the time, it really is worth a stop in! read more

I think this is my 1st time writing a review for a supermarket, but I had to show K Market some love! I found out about the opening on Yelp and got the chance to stop by around 2 months ago. I've been back a few times since and I'll continue to keep coming back! They have a lot of cool stuff here, including a huge selection of Pulmuone food, those $25 Korean muscat grapes, Irvin's salted egg chips, Makku rice beer, and locally made kimchi. They've got a lot of produce, but their meat and seafood sections are a bit small. I liked some of their kitchen stuff too, especially the wooden spoons. I feel safe shopping here during COVID. They don't seem to be limiting the amount of people that can come in, but the store is very spacious. There's a huge parking lot too! read more

I would've given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for several factors. 1) during the grand opening, we didn't receive any freebies like some others did, even though we spent over $100. 2) they're always out of their hot food items it seems like most of the time and 3) when we went between 10am-11am to grab a drink, the guy at the bakery station said rather bluntly "it's closed. come back later" in a rude tone. Was my first time coming to this market. The market is very clean an had a cute display of bakery goods. They also carry a wide variety of Korean goods and groceries. I ended up buying lots of snacks, instant noodles, and food from their hot food section. I was very excited to come since I saw a lot of good reviews and was craving some Japchae and other Korean dishes, but was pretty disappointed. The Japchae, Kimbap, Kimchi Fried Rice, and the side dishes I got all lacked a lot of taste. Very bland. Awesome store for Korean cooking! Came here on a whim once to check it out since it was near Hankook. Immediately, I was surprised by the store. It was extremely clean and organized. The produce section was the most intricate and compact produce section I've seen in a while. The best part of The K Market is their pre-made foods. I got one of the kimchi soups and it really hit the Korean-craving spot. I also really liked the bakery they have. I got their Korean corn dogs and wow! One of the corn dogs only had a small got dog at the end but the rest was filled with cheese... that tasted like the got dog. So it didn't feel like I was missing out on any of the got dog. Super clean market with a nice selection of items. Their fish is fresh and I love their pickled radishes! The produce section is one if the best I've seen in terms of organization and cleanliness. Cashiers are very considerate in terms of bagging. The reason for three stars is because when I was browsing the hot foods section, I saw a few workers behind the counter who were prepping food take off their mask and proceed to eat yogurt around the food they were prepping. My mom and I literally go here like 3x a week. (Thankfully they just kickstarted a rewards program!) We usually go for the kimbap and hot foods, which occasionally is sold out by the time we get there after work. So sad, but they have excellent frozen foods, meats, and seafood! We also love getting some of their bread/bakery items, but we also found our new favorite cake shop! I initially wanted to try their strawberry cake by the slice for my then-upcoming birthday, but decided to take a gamble and buy the whole strawberry cake the other day. My family dislikes sweets and only buy cakes out of a whim for birthdays, but we LOVED their strawberry cake. We're only a family of 3, but that cake was gone by the night. It was that good. I get home to eat the bread I bought from the bakery section and it has mold on it. The bread is $3.00. The prices are a bit higher too. Not much social distancing either. A bit messy too. I like how they do this in order to avoid wasted food and still turn a profit. I can't guarantee it is every night but when I went there, I believe it was on the weekend. K Market is a fun new addition to Sunnyvale! It has groceries, a deli, a bakery, and a coffee bar, so it's really intended to be a one stop shop. Everything you need in one place, plus some things you didn't know you needed! There is tons of parking, including some EV charging stations. The interior is very clean and spacious. Currently, there's a grand opening sale of 30% off most of the hot foods and $2 coffee/smoothies/boba. Each section of the store has a pretty large selection of items. The produce looked to be good quality and the array of meats in the shabu shabu section is impressive. The bakery creations are lovely. They seem a little pricy but I haven't tried them, so maybe they are worth the sticker price after all. The boba was nothing to write home about. The tea was too sweet and the pearls were too sticky. From the hot food section, I've had a few of the pancakes and the japchae. I'm not exactly an expert on Korean food but I did enjoy them, especially at 30% off! However, this is the reason I took a star off. I've been to K Market at several different times in the morning, and I haven't been able to find a time where the deli section is even 50% stocked. They have a long row of heating elements with signs showing a bunch of different items that look delicious. Is there ever a point where most of them are available? Do they only make a few items on any given day? Maybe it's being affected by Covid? I guess I'll have to wait and see! I don't know that the area necessarily needed another Korean grocery store, but K Market is the closest one to my house so I'll definitely be visiting. read more

I love the layout of this place. It's spacious, modern, and the bright colors really pop out and make you feel the energy. Whenever my family is in the area and we need to get our Korean ingredients and stuff, we like to come here. The wide selection and variety of food and stuff is incredible. The staff here is really friendly as well. I'm a huge fan of the banchan section, which consists of sushi, kimbap, Korean fried rice, chicken, pork, tteok-bokki, and other traditional sides. It's fresh, warm, and delicious eats for when you're on the go. It's easy to find whatever you're looking for, and the layout and space makes your trips up and down the aisles so much more efficient. Today we went around 5:00pm my daughter and son already knew what to get from the hot food section since we have always gone when it was named the K mart! But as of today my kids and I will not be going at all anymore while walking on the hot food section I turned my head over towards the kitchen to see the other hot food items and what did I see in the kitchen floor!
