I bought a dishwasher from Lowe's. Mega Plumbing installed it and the only reason I am okay giving 1 star is because the guy that installed it was nice. I had to call them back because there was standing water left after the 1st and only time I used it. A technician came out said I needed a new one. He left me with the impression that they would bring another one out. Well, Lowe's had no idea that I needed a replacement. Now today they call and say that I won't get it installed until the 18th. There is still water in the one that they left here. Once this is done, I would never allow them to be the installer for anything I ever buy. read more

I purchased a garbage disposal and dishwasher from Lowe's and was awaiting installation of both. Lowe's scheduled me for the garbage disposal, but had not yet scheduled me for the dishwasher installation. When the technician Alan G. arrived (he called earlier than the proposed long window given to me--Yay!), in discussing the garbage disposal, I mentioned I was waiting on a dishwasher installation. Alan called Lowe's and coordinated the dishwasher installation for me as well. He was early, knowledgeable and efficient. He was very professional, left no traces of him being there other than two great, efficient installations. I highly recommend this company. I was amazed. The next day I received phone calls making sure I knew that the installers were on time. Mega plumbing crew Hose and Diago did a excellent job installing our new wall oven and microwave combo. They were skilled installers and cleaned up after the job.The first install date was cancelled when Mega went to Lowes and said the oven was not at the store. The install time window was between 2 & 5 pm. I did not get a call from Mega until around 4:30 pm telling me they were not coming because the oven was not at Lowes . We then called Lowes and they said that the oven combo had been at the had arrived at the store on Sept. 9 and was tagged for our job. The first install date was Sept. 19 .I understand some jobs may be delayed ,but we should have been notified sooner as Lowes said Mega Plumbing was at the store between 9:00 and 10:00 am read more

Mega Plumbing was contracted through Lowe's to install a dishwasher. When they arrived they told me that they needed to replace the water shutoff under the sink and I agreed. They couldn't find a valve on their truck and told me they needed to go to the store to get one and would call when they were on the way back. After an hour and a half I called their company to find out when they would be back. The customer service representative had a hard time trying to get in touch with the installer. Once they finally got in touch with them, they told me that they should be back within 45 minutes. One hour later they had still not arrived and I managed to get in touch with the technician on the number he originally called from. He told me they were finishing up with another customer and would be back with me in around 30 minutes. 4 1/2 hours after they first arrived and 4 hours after they left to get a valve they finally decided return to the original job. The excuse they gave was that they had to keep on schedule for their other jobs which is why they moved on to other customers instead of returning to finish the job. The nearest hardware store where they could have gotten the part is 5 minutes away. Additionally, they tried to convince me that they needed to extend the water line and drain line for an additional fee. I pointed out that they supplied hoses were already 8 feet long and longer than their proposed replacement part. They grudgingly agreed to try to use the included parts that not only fit but had excess line available. Overall, their performance and attitude towards customers was unacceptable. read more

I bought a dishwasher from lowes and this company installed it. The plumber that came along with a helper was informative as he installed my new dishwasher. He answered all my questions. Now because of this good service, when I had an actual plumbing problem I called them. That particular plumber wasn't available so they sent someone else. He was able to resolve my problem but when it came to pricing it seems he was making up numbers as he went along. I asked specifically for breakdown of labor vs materials , he wasn't able to provide. Also wasn't able to provide a receipt either. Was told the office would send once check was received. I'm mad at my self for paying w/out getting receipt. I finally received receipt by email, no breakdown of cost , no tax ID#, and no compensation for my drywall being cut up and burned from blow torch. read more

They're installers completed Lowe's install of dishwasher and oven range. After install the dishwasher was determined to be defective as it would not drain. I inspected installers work after they left and found plug had not been removed to garbage disposal thus not allowing dishwasher to drain into disposal. Installers also had not capped tailpipe drain under sink to old dishwasher connection. I rectified both issues, problem resolved and dishwasher functions correctly to date. As a side note the oven failed to operate after initial install. They dismantled the stove interior for LP conversion and I suspect it was something they did or did not do that caused failure. A gas leak was present after installation so they replaced new gas line (new out of the box) that they had just installed. It took them 3 weeks to reschedule install of new stove after it was determined it to was defective by mega plumbing. Installers lacked courtesy, professionalism and competency. They will never set foot in my home again. read more

Ordered a water heater through Lowe's, got an email the next day with confirmation that they would be the install company, after waiting two weeks for the delivery from Lowe's, got a call it was in and were able to schedule appointment the next day for install. Showed up right on time (didn't call 30 min prior like they said but we were home so it was ok) did the work in two hours. Very professional all the way around. I have had the most disastrous experience with Lowe's in getting a dishwasher installed. It can only be described as Kafkaesque (but this will be the subject of a completely different review). The only people to emerge with credit from the whole horrendous incident is Mega Plumbing. The level of customer service was excellent. I can't recommend them more highly. They did what they said they would and always kept me informed. Their technicians went way beyond the call of duty - waiting for Lowe's to sort themselves out, going to other stores to find the dishwasher and keeping in contact with me. So if you need plumbing done in the DMV area they are your team. Big thanks to Alan who finally got it installed. read more

When I called, the receptionist screened/assessed my situation and refused, with a lot of arrogance/attitude in her voice, to book an appointment for us. Of course, I persisted. After a lot of back and forth with the receptionist, I asked for a manager because I don't think receptionists should refuse "good business" -- after all, she is a receptionist, not a manager, and clearly, not a sales manager. In this economy, where small businesses are struggling to stay open, I don't think ANYONE should be turning away "good" business. And so you know, our plumbing problem was not unreasonable, nor out of the realm of a plumber's scope of work -- we just needed our stove to be leveled. I was fortunate enough to get Brandon on the phone. Brandon quickly triaged my problem and agreed to dispatch a journeyman to get us fixed. Not only did they come with PPE, but they were also pleasant and competent. They fixed the problem and did an EXCELLENT job! I am thankful to Brandon for turning a bad situation into a win-win. He converted me from a "frustrated prospect" to a very happy customer. Brandon is smart and has excellent customer-satisfaction skills. As a small business owner, I appreciate the people skills Brandon brings to the table. This company was hired by Lowes to install my dishwasher. The installers communicated very well about the appointment as well as showed up on time. The installer communicated that additional plumbing work needed to be completed to install the dishwasher in which we agreed and it was installed for an additional $380. Not a problem until I go into my wallet this morning to get out some cash and there is no cash!!!!!! Yes, I know I should have never set my purse there in the kitchen chair with my wallet right on top. Easy pickings. I have called Mega Plumbing with the only response being that the installers say they did not take any money. Well of course a thief would say that. My next call was to Lowes concerning this company and I am now on hold with our local police department as I am typing this. read more

WE SUGGEST YOU FIND A MORE RELIABLE LUMBER........................ We bought a kitchen faucet from Lowes and because we are Senior Citizens decided to have lowes install it they used Mega Plumbing and Mega came out Friday to install the faucet. I note ( I had washed a couple of dishes in the sink in hot water before they came so the sink would be empty,) they replaced the faucet and hurried out, it wasn't until half an hour later that I went to rinse out a cup and learned we had no hot water at the sink....I called but was told they could not return until next Tuesday which was impossible for me. they finally agreed to have someone here at 3:30 today which I confirmed again with them at 1:PM as we were out of town during the day on a prior appointment, It is now 5 PM and they still have not shown up read more

ZERO STARS!!!! Not one....We purchased a dryer from Lowes and they use Mega Plumbing for there install and the experience was probably one of the worst I've ever received. I would not recommend using there services in the Norfolk VA area. The installer had called me two hours early wanting to come by before the scheduled time he set up which would usually be fine however I wasn't able to make that work with my schedule that day and wouldn't be home until our schedule time we set up. He got upset on the phone with me and kept pushing to come to my house right then and there. I told him I couldn't and apologized profusely even though it wasn't my fault. He then just hung up on me. When the scheduled time did arrive they were here and right away he seemed very upset and tired. Our house has video Surveillance for security purposes and after they left that day I watched him swear and moan about being there while in our drive way. He went on the tell me that our dryer needed a special vent system since where the dryer is going it's a tight space. Which I thought okay no big deal let's order this and move on. But that his company Mega Plumbing would have to special order it because it's not sold in stores and it's rare. And it would take up to a week to get and that there company Mega Plumbing would call me later that day or the following to reschedule the installation of the dryer. Fast forward three days no call from Mega Plumbing nothing. My wife and I had to call on the third day again which is fine however we were on hold left and right and for at least 45 minutes to an hour and are told that no 'special vent system part' was ordered. And that he said our dryer wouldn't fit in our house because of where the door is located next to the dryer. None of which he told me that day. As again we have video surveillance for security purposes and I've rewatched that video and he kept telling me how it would fit in our house and how his company Mega Plumbing would be ordering that special part. So thank you! At least we're getting our money back but however I won't be ordering anything from Lowes if they're going to be utilizing Mega Plumbing for there installation! read more

Plumber replaced Garbage Disposal. Turned on Dishwasher and water came out under the sink like a fire hose. I wasn't home & my wife didn't notice right away until it spilled onto the floor. When I came home I looked under the sink & started the dishwasher. A lot of water started gushing out, immediately shut dishwasher off & water stopped. I cleaned up all the water but first had to clear out everything under the sink as it was soaked. Once that was done I looked to see what problem was. I saw the plumber had not connected the dishwasher drain hose to the garbage disposal, a clamp was down at bottom of hose. I put this on the hose where it connected to the disposal and tightened it. I then started the disposal and no more water gushing out. I would not hire this co. again as if a plumber can't finish a simple job like this properly how are they going to be able to do a more complicated job correctly. read more

Was assigned Mega Plumbing to install the dishwasher I bought from Lowes. The man that called me from Mega Plumbing did not speak clearly but I finally understood that he was coming for the installation today. The guy showed up, ran a tape measure up the side on my existing dishwasher, then said "it won't fit". I asked him why, and he said that my tile was 1/4 inch to tall. I asked if I could remove the tile to get it installed and he said "get rid of the tile and I can install it then" and left without ever even offloading my dishwasher from the truck. He was abrupt, discourteous - and likely wrong: my old dishwasher is actually taller than the new one I had waited weeks to have delivered. The absolute worst customer service I have ever had. read more

Lowe's sent this company out to install dishwasher. Guy came in and said dishwasher won't fit and there is no way he could get our d dishwasher out because tile was installed around it, then he left. I looked at measurements and he was wrong. My husband and I took old dishwasher out ourselves with no problems and didn't even scratch the tile! I called Mega and no answer and I called the guys cell phone and he refused to come back and install. We bought a dishwasher from Lowes and Mega Plumbing was scheduled to come out last Saturday to install it. The tech showed up when he was supposed to and that was great. When he arrived, I showed him the old dishwasher and where it was plugged in and the water line for it. He looked under the sink and asked to see my electrical panel. We checked the circuit panel and found the breaker that controls the dishwasher and other appliances in the kitchen. He then tells me that he cannot install the dishwasher because the dishwasher is not on its own circuit breaker. He also said that the plumbing needs to be fixed because there was no shutoff for both the hot and cold water to the dishwasher. My house was built in 1971 and has had a dishwasher installed on the same 20amp breaker in the breaker box and there is a shutoff knob on the waterline that controls the dishwasher for the last 20 years without a problem. We have only tripped the breaker to the kitchen one time since I moved in. This guy said that I would need to upgrade the electric and water before he could install it. There is no reason for this as this is NOT new construction and there was no permit needed. I just wanted him to replace a existing appliance because I did not feel like doing it. I called the office today and was told that the supervisor was informed of the issue and would review it and call me back by noon. I waited until 2pm and still had no response from the company, so I called them back and was told that the supervisor had already contacted Lowes and told them why they did not install, but nobody ever bothered to call me back to discuss the issue. Stay away from this company as there customer service sucks. I will be sure to steer anyone I can towards a different plumbing company read more

These guys are hands down the greatest contractors that I could have ever hoped for. They came in to fix some major structural damage to my house that previous contractors caused. Not only did they work with the county to come up with a safe approach, they got all the proper permits, and got started immediately. Once they started they were here every single day from 7:45am until 5pm until the job was complete. They even came in on a Saturday to make sure items were ready for inspection. I got updates every day on what had been done and what was left to do and they did really quality work. There was always a supervisor on site. Everyday they made sure that they picked up any mess and left my house as clean as a construction site can be. I highly recommend this company. read more

We bought our dishwasher from Lowe's and Mega Plumbing was assigned the installation job. The gentleman arrived on time and was courteous. However, he suggested that I needed some extra work done before he can install the dishwasher and that it was going to cost more, a lot more. So, I asked him to leave and called a master plumber who said he could do the work if I needed him to but it was not required. I called Lowe's back and they assigned my job to a different installer and told the other installer why they were getting the job. The other installer came by and asked me to point out where the alleged issue was. It turned out nothing needed to be replaced. Moreover, if the extra work needed to be performed this installer's charges were 34% less. All is well now and the dishwasher has been installed. read more

Don't be fooled by the other reviews, we had a terrible experience with Mega Plumbing. They are a subcontractor used by Lowes to do appliance installations and Lowes charges you in advance for parts and labor. These guys were 1) late in contacting us, which led to a late installation and 2) told us they needed to do "extra work", which would require extra $$. They sounded shady and we decided to go with another contractor, and guess what, they didn't need to do any of the "extra work" they quoted us. Stay away! read more

They are a sub contractor for all of Lowe's appliance deliveries and installations. A man came to our house to give a quote to cut a hole in our wall to fit a new microwave and double oven. He was there for 45 minutes and he said he would give the quote to Lowe's. He never provided them the quote. When Lowe's finally got ahold of the company they stated they did not provide a quote because they did could not do/not capable of doing the work. That is fine (I suppose) but we were not happy that the guy 1) did not say anything to us at the house and then 2) Never followed up and told Lowe's. We wasted a week waiting on his quote. read more

We used Mega Plumbing to install a washer and gas dryer in our house in Washington, DC and haul away our old ones. The space in the upstairs bathroom was tiny, not to mention that the units had to come through a doorway with only about an inch of clearance, and we were very worried that it would be impossible to remove the old units and/or get the new ones in place without damaging our walls, floors, etc. Ultimately it took more than one visit by several different employees, but they all went out of their way to do the job and to get it done to our satisfaction. They were also great about scheduling and rescheduling, because we had delivery issues with the company we bought the washer/dryer from, and had to reschedule numerous times. Mega Plumbing rescheduled at our request several times, including on short notice, and kept working with us until the job was done. We recommend without reservation. Great company. read more

The technician, Aagi, called at 9:05am this morning and left a message stating his estimated time of arrival will be at 9:30am. He arrived exactly at 9:30am. Aagi was personable, very professional, knowledgeable and very thorough. He was careful to prep the wooden floors prior to installation and afterwards, he took time out to walk me through the entire operation process.
