Save yourself the trouble and the time and go to Tim's Garage in Conway. My wife had a Meineke battery under warranty go bad and they tried to get her a new $1,200 alternator. (That's about double what an alternator should cost, fyi.) Had they had their way, she would have got a new alternator and a new battery both. They also said she needed spark plugs. My mechanic just did that during the last oil change. They also said she needed new wheel bearings. My tire company just went through all this when we got new tires a few months ago. Fair warning not to take your car to Meinke here in Conway. This is the second time in a year a car has stopped working less than an hour after they cleared me to drive. Discovered these wires under my hood after smoke started pouring out. I'd asked for an inspection and called to asked why this hadn't been included on the list. Was told it was "no big deal" and "not worth mentioning". Also, "oh yeah, you didn't have any coolant when you left us," but that wasn't mentioned, either. Took the car to Luyet (should have done that from the beginning) and was told that the wires that were "no big deal" was part of the coolant system and would cost about $350 to replace. Also, the coolant casing was completely shattered. Meinke and their customer service say it's not their problem if they don't mention things, they only stand behind the parts they put in, not the quality of their mechanics. read more

Pros: -Called and made a same-day oil change appt -Front desk (Nate) called later and asked if I wanted to move the appointment up--yay! -Free car inspection with the oil change (did without me asking) -They did change my oil, and I found a $5 coupon on the website Cons: -Nate was rude to the woman ahead of me when telling her about her inspection and the state of her brakes/tires, and wouldn't take "no thank you" for an answer--she said it several times. -Nate then was incredibly rude and condescending toward me when reviewing my inspection. I declined all extra services, and he stated "you know your battery is like dead, right?" -After I explained that my father does most maintenance on my car, Nate laughed in my face Nate continued to be very condescending throughout the rest of the interaction and question my father's parenting and ability to care for vehicles. I understand you work on commission but jeez. A simple "okay, we just want you to be safe!" would have sufficed in both interactions. Would not recommend for women. read more

We have been taking my daughter's car to this location for the last three years. Unfortunately, the new manager Harold has a lot to learn about customer service. On our last visit I brought my van in for a hum in my rear bearing, I was told after a test drive it was the front. I left the vehicle, and it was supposed to be ready the next day, early morning. Did not get back to pick it up until 5:00 pm and was told not ready that the tool they use to do the bearing broke and that they were going to have to take the bearing to another store in North Little Rock. Would have been nice to get a call and not having to drive 40 miles round trip for nothing. Got a call the next day was told that they put the bearing in backwards and had to order another one (but I would not be charged for it, gee thanks) and that Harold was going do it himself. Called the next day to check to see if it was ready and told it was, asked for a discount for the inconvenience because their guys messed it up. Harold got on the phone and started yelling at me that the inconvenience was to him having to have to drive to NLR and taking up one of his bays for three days and the price quoted was what was going to be charged, told him I would see him the next morning. Now, if this had been the first time to this establishment, I would have maybe just chalked it up to him just being an ass. I have spent over $7, 000.00 in the last three years at this Meineke. When I went in the morning to pick up my car I could tell Harold was still hot. I asked him to pull my receipts which he did, I asked him to look at how much money I had spent there. His response was "so just because you have spent all this money here you think I should give you a discount?" He then started to berate me again for asking for a discount and that I wanted the work for free. I asked so you really don't care if you lose a longtime cash paying customer? His response, "not if they want something for free!!" I had never asked for something for free, asked for a discount, had he said I can take $40.00 off I would have been happy. I took my van to another shop because after I picked it up I still noticed the hum and the VSA light was now on. I was not going to go back and go through another yelling match with Harold What was I told? The right rear bearing needed replacement, what I had brought the car in for the first place, I was told that there was no way that this should have been missed. I was quoted and paid $512.00 for a front bearing, had no reason to believe that this was other than normal price and that the front struts needed replacing, $1,100.00. The local mechanic charged me $795.32 for the rear bearing, struts and rear shocks. The VSA was triggered because when they replaced the front bearing they stretched the VSA wire, had to go to a dealer to get it reset. Fortunately, my new mechanic has benefitted from Harolds ineptness as I have had him do another $3,500.00 in work on my other cars that would have gone Meineke. Do yourself a favor, find a local independent mechanic a give them your hard-earned money. Avoid this place like the plague. Let's see if I get any response. read more

This business is an absolute joke. Any recent reviews are obviously done by family and friends. Customer stated they received the entire diagnostic report from them. I call BS. When I tried that ( as a female), they would not provide me with any information about any services that they did on my car, just a bill for an over priced battery that was dead in a few hours. I was hung up on when they didn't want to deal with me, such professionalism. Manager Harold Williams likes to scam on women and young adults. Please be aware of who you are dealing with. read more

We were in Conway from out of town and my husbands car suddenly had a very fast leak out of the left rear side. We panicked and got to this Meineke just before closing with very low hopes. The manager, Harold (very nice and personable) came out because his crew were all busy. He immediately got under the car and diagnosed it as a washer fluid leak. I was told my entire AC system needed replaced. Cost me almost $1600 and 8 months later it goes out due to a part not being replace that should have been. After getting the part replaced and system recharged the next week the new pump begins to scream and I loose my entire AC system. I drove the hour back to the shop for the second time and the owner was working the front counter. With two cars in the five available bays and one car out front I was told "we're slammed. That's why we schedule appointments." Even though I had spoke with someone the previous day about making the trip there. I've scheduled my third appointment in the hopes that this issue will be resolved along with my inconvenient travel and need to miss work for a repair that should have been done completely the first time. I feel as if this failure had happened just past the warranted time, I would be told to kick rocks or pay again. I understand mistakes happen but you don't treat a customer with indifference due to they're warranted work. My family and I will not be returning here! We live in Bentonville AR. My wife was traveling to visit my daughter at UCA. My wife's 2013 Honda Odyssey mini van started surging and the check engine light came on. She made it to the car care center. They immediately stopped what they were working on to diagnose the car. Code showed ECM failure. They found a loose connector on the ecm, secured it and everything was better. They did not charge us anything for the repair. My wife tried and they refused.
