My first review was the next day after service, which was a mistake. I purchased a walker catalytic converter for 350.00 on line and had difficulty finding a shop that would install for a reasonable price, I found meineke 414 nasa for $108.00 which was 1/2 of what midas was charging. They said the walker converter is defective. They said they would fix for $1105.56 for a catco converter or $560.53 for a easter red label converter, When I ask for part number of the eastern converter to buy paul wouldn't tell me. I can get an eastern converter for 120.00. The front desk is Boy that should not be there. I went back and got the old catalytic converter.The Boy at the front desk exposed his true colors. DO NOT BUY THEIR PARTS , BRING YOUR OWN OR THEY WILL ROB YOU WITH A SMILE. Guess what ,passed inspection 4/10/26 . I used a $27.00 can of Cataclean from walmart. read more

I would give zero stars if Yelp would allow it. I took my car in for exhaust work (a 27,000 mile Mercedes) spent $675 only to pick it up with the same problem. When asked why the problem still existed they said "we don't normally work on these kind of cars. Sorry, we thought we could fix it". They tried three times to fix it correctly (over four days) only to give up and say "maybe you could take it to the dealership. I bet they know what type of muffler to use". It was a simple muffler replacement. I paid them and another repair shop who repaired their work for me in an hour and a half. When I asked thE owner to pay for the second repair he refused. VERY poor service and VERY poor workmanship. read more

Really disappointed with this place. They told me my axle seals were leaking and wanted charge me $700 for that and some fuel injector something or another. Fortunately, I declined. I took it to another local mechanic a couple days later and they could not find anything of what they were talking about. No leaks, nothing. The car was fine. To the rescue again! Lucky (car) was making some sad grinding noises that I could only suspect to be a brake issue. Car was lifted, wheels off, problem identified and suggested services rendered. Caught early, front brakes needed to be replaced, rotor was still good, cleaned and serviced rear brakes all for $185. 1.5 hrs later Lucky was back in business. I had a great experience with this shop. I took my Magnum RT in about a month ago to have an exhaust swap done. Unfortunately, the one I brought them didn't fit, but Dustin and Stephen did a great job between the tips they used and the pipe they fabricated. I got a good deal on the work, and will definitely be going back the next time I need some exhaust work. Now the car gets even more head-turns, and really does sound like the muscle car that it is. I can't recommend this place high enough. They fixed my AC At a very good price. They work on almost any mechanical problem. friendly and caring of their customers. They found two fuses and a relay for my Ac missing when two mobile mechanics missed it. So they tested the wiring, replaced the relay and two fuses, new air filter and a brake fluid flush. I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by this Meineke yesterday to get my oil changed. I thought for sure that this would just be another half assed lube place on the side of the road. But my regular mechanic was booked solid and I really needed my oil changed in my truck that day. So I said what the heck and I just stopped in. To my surprise, I had a wonderful experience at this Meineke. John in the front office was a pleasure to work with. He was straightforward and very knowledgeable and let me know all of the concerns they found on my truck without being pushy or trying to get me to buy other services or have other little things fixed. It's also always a nice surprise when you get to work with someone that doesn't talk down to you or treat you like you're an idiot. I am a petite girl and I know quite a bit about cars and have worked on them myself a lot. But when you look like I do, most mechanics treat you like you're a dumb little girl that can't possibly understand the mechanics of an automobile. This guy was totally different. He treated me with respect and as an equal and for that I am incredibly grateful. You can tell he really cares about what he does and about this little place. Through casual conversation, I discovered that John is a veteran of our military. So John, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for your service - both for our country and on my truck. If you have car trouble, go here. John will not try to soak you for repairs you don't need. I brought in my 2007 RAV4 because there was fluid leaking into the cabin. John originally thought I would need to have my dashboard ripped out to fix it, to the tune of almost $1100. He called me back about 40 minutes later to tell me once they got under the hood, it was a $20 fix to flush out the clogged HVAC drain and replace the very wet air filter. Seriously, he could have created a very expensive situation for me, but instead, he was honest and saved me a bundle of money. read more

I went here for a simple oil change (my car wasn't giving me any problems before i got there) i get there and they tell me how much its gonna cost and i agree i waited a good 2 hours on a simple oil change. My regular guy would of had me in and out for a fraction of the price. As soon as i go to turn my car on i have to crank it for like 3 seconds if not more so it can start. On top of that my EPC light turned on and my gears wont shift on time, and my speed tops out at 85 mph. I got 4 new brake pads installed for a cost of $430. A couple weeks later, my brakes completely failed and I found myself sliding through an intersection unable to stop. My Husband and children were in the car with me; we were returning home from the airport. Luckily it was around midnight and the streets were quiet. This very easily could have been a fatal accident. Then I started hearing parts falling off my car. I was almost home when the brakes failed, so I continued cautiously. When I arrived in my driveway to discover a burning smell. I had the car towed back to Meineke first thing in the morning. I called John 3 hours later to have him tell me that every bay was full and they were just now looking at it. I don't believe any bays were full when I arrived. Regardless. They had failed to tighten down the caliper on the rear drivers side wheel. I don't know about you, but if my staff puts the lives of 4 people in serious danger due to negligence, I would be bending over backwards to make them a priority. He chose to get mouthy with me instead. He only changed his tune when I mentioned the word LAWYER. At the end of the day, he replaced all of the now broken and missing parts and and I picked my car up literally at the END OF THE DAY. I will never trust them with my car again. Don't go here. They had one job: install the brakes properly. During his apology he starts telling me they're only human, they make mistakes. Sure. Great. nobody was hurt. But the follow up customer service was just about as horrible as the the work done on my car. read more

Let me go ahead and start this review out with one simple statement... i NEVER do this! And by "this" i mean a review. A GOOD one to be more critical. Just yesterday i had a 2001 ford explorer handed down/bought from my mother to replace the long and beat down 1995 Nissan Pathfinder i had pushed life into for too long now. So i knew the first basics i should do for the car is a fresh oil change, fluid top, and spark plug change (which i have hear many times is a tedious job.) with a previous experience on the oil change with my pathfinder left me no choice but to turn to the internet and give a place with some solid reviews a good try. found nothing but good from here so i decided to give it a try. The moment i walked in i was greeted and helped by the service specialist named Stephen(hope i spelled it right) if i could describe to you without taking too much space what it takes to give service in the automotive/repair industry, the words would sum up to the way this gentleman carries his line of work. GRADE A+ on his customer service and manners, and didn't even hesitate when asked concerning questions. Was exactly what anyone who knowledgeable or low educated about vehicles should be presented with when concerning the well being of your car. i entered the place while it wasn't busy at all and watched as many people called and walked in for service to their cars. this man didn't give one bit of disrespect to anyone and didn't hesitate to help with anything that was needed. i didn't catch the mechanics name who did most of the job with the spark plugs but he had some gold tunnels(that were badass) and didn't complain once or show any sign of hesitation to get the job done. exactly the type of dedication you can expect from someone you don't know but you should trust working on your vehicle. got a fresh oil change and spark plugs renewed in a timely fashion, and even got diagnosed conditions that will worsen here on out on my beat up machine. i know most of this sounds like it is just too good to grasp out of my words, but take it from me and yourself to give these guys a try. already recommended many others immediately after leaving. my mother will be in tomorrow for an oil change herself;]. would shake both of the men's hand a second time for the great service, but will get the chance to when taking my car for future repairs. read more

Took my girlfriends car to Meineke car care center due to exhaust fumes getting inside the cab of the car. John called and told me I had a valve cover gasket leak and oil was dripping onto the exhaust manifold causing the problem. While they were doing the repairs he told me it needed new belts so I told him to go ahead and replace them. $400 later I thought the problem was solved. He said it would take some time for the oil to burn off the manifold so we drove the car for a few weeks. My girlfriend told me, after ample time had passed to burn off the residual oil, the gas fumes were still getting into the cab of the car and now the belts are squeaking. I took the car back to see what the problem was and now they are telling me i need a new timing belt cover gasket because its leaking oil and that is causing the problem. Along with that, a new timing belt, water pump, oil change and antifreeze for a total cost of $800! He even had the audacity to tell me he got good pricing on the parts. I will never go back to them again and I don't recommend anyone reading this review to either. If I could have given a half star review I would. The manager at this location, John, is excellent (Meineke: he needs a raise)! I came here to have them look at my brakes initially and they were honest and upfront that the pads on all four brakes still had plenty of life left in them and didn't need to be replaced. I was also looking for a couple of used tires and he pointed me down the street to Rafael Tires, who gave me a great price($110) for 2 almost new tires. All in all, they did an oil change and inspected my A/C system, and the service was top notch. I will be coming back for oil changes and brake work on my Sprinter vans, because I own and operate a shuttle company and I appreciated their honesty about the brakes on my 4Runner. Being new to the area and in need of auto repair/maintenance we selected John's Meineke location because they were open on Saturday until 4pm, they were nearby and we saw good ratings. They did not disappoint us! John was very professional on the phone and in person and the office / lounge and shop area was very clean. If we had needed to stay and wait for the car it wouldn't have been a bad place to hang out for a while. It was a pleasant experience on all levels and much better than some other places we've used before. The pricing was very reasonable and John seemed very knowledgeable and even reconfirmed our needs. I felt like he was honest and I could trust him with any level of service I needed (now or in the future). I'd highly recommend them and we will definitely go back for any future services. PS - it looks like very little parking in front but there are small side roads on either side leading to an alley making it real easy to get in an out. It looks like that is where the dirtier work is done and keeps it separate from the lounge area - a nice change. read more
