SKINNY FRIES*

Walked in on a weekday and was seated right away. They have a lot of options to choose from like sandwiches, burgers, salads and soups. Ordered the hot chicken sandwich and small fries and both were delicious. The chicken was crispy and was dipped in a hot honey sauce. Extra tip Happy hour is 3-6 Monday to Friday and they offer a weekday pick 1/2 sandwich soup or salad for $16.

Nachos w/ Beef Chili

We stopped into Mekelburgs while exploring brooklyn. The vibes were great with the dim lighting and music. Everything was great until we received the check and there were some misunderstandings that management wasn't willing to budge on. For example, we asked for a side of soup but was charged the full price of one after it wasn't made clear that the soup doesn't come as a side. When ordering, be sure you're specific and ask about their pricing if you are wanting a side or extra of something. As for the food, I loved my nachos. The beef chili was great and the sauces on top were amazing. The one note I had was it could have been hotter. It seems room temp, or maybe like it was sitting for a minute before brought out.

Food 10/10! Service 12/10! Atmosphere was a chill vibe, good music but it was coldddd in the seating area so leave on your coat. Good thing the food and vibes were enough to warm me up! Go here!!

Super friendly spot - wings are actually amazing!! Burger was decent as well. Good place to wind down on a Sunday evening, and not too crowded

This place is such a vibe honestly, basically anything you'd be craving is all in one menu. I happened to come during happy hour which is 3-6pm everyday, and that gets you $1.50 oysters (they're huge) and $6 pints. They also have this lunchtime meal deal where you can get two things for $16+. The porchetta sandwich and fried pickles were pretty good. Shoutout to the guy working the bar! He was super helpful in his recommendations!

Once again I am in the restaurant as I leave a review. First let me say that The ambiance here is so soothing!! Maybe it's my Aries spirit! The red is comforting and I am so calm being here.. As I approached the bar area, Abigail greeted me in such a warm and friendly way..I would come back here just to be greeted again just like that!! Great woman, she knows what's she is doing. I ordered the double butter burger with onion rings and I was very happy with it..My drink was a hibiscus lemonade and it was so refreshing!!Oh and another shot out to Evelyn who brought me my drink. I had met her a few days ago and she was super. I've too! I bought a muffin then and this would be my second time here..My apologies for going so long winded, but it's so nice to feel so good instantly in a place so unique!!! I'll be back very soon!!! Great job everyone!!

First time I tried this spot I was a bit underwhelmed. However, today turned it around! I stopped in for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised but the very easy going vibe, the energy of the super kind staff, and the wonderful food! Unique flavors and solid portions.

Best wings I've had!! I saw this spot on a list of places that have the best buffalo wings, and as a lover of wings-I knew I just had to try them here! I could tell from the photos that they were going to be delicious, and I gotta say that they definitely did not disappoint! I got an order of 4 buffalo wings and a side of Cajun curly fries. The wings were SO perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, which I felt just made them the absolute perfect combination! The wings were also very big, so 4 was the perfect amount for one person. I loved them so much though that I'm dreaming about having more! The place itself if very unassuming; the front of it is a marketplace and you have to walk through to get to mekelburgs which is basically just a very casual bar/restaurant. If I hadn't seen photos of the wings, I'm not sure if I would have gravitated towards this place as much. But I'm so glad I did! Service was good and my waitress was very nice. Overall great experience and would definitely come back for the wings!

I feel like this could've been an off night but I'd be reluctant to go back to dine. I've stopped into Mekelburg's before to grab babka from the shop but had never dined at the restaurant before. Ordered beers and they took awhile to come. Eventually the food came and we still hadn't gotten our drinks so the server/bartender forgot and we had to ask for them again. Service was friendly but I think spread too thin. The appetizer sample was pretty decent. Wings and mozzarella sticks were yummy and there were plenty of fries. Unfortunately the prochetta sandwich was disappointing.. I found a piece of the butcher's twine in the meat toward the end of the meal. Meat was kinda dry and I felt could use some kind of dip but I did like the amount of meat, cheese and broccoli rabe. Would've said something but was in a rush to get to an event and just wanted to pay and go. Other things on the menu like the babka desserts sounded tasty but I would certainly be hesitant to return. Might just stick to the shop in front!

I was strolling through Williamsburg with friends after leaving Domino Park, looking for a place to have a few drinks. We nearly bypassed Mekelburg's because it's designed like a grocery store at the entrance. We made our way inside and that's where the good times were. Mekelburg's is speakeasy-ish, (to me at least). The front gives cute organic grocery store. I really didn't expect the cool bar and vibes situation that we ended up getting into once we walked further inside. Servers and bartenders here are super cool and laid back. There was five of us. We were told to seat ourselves. Cool. After finding cozy, corner seats we ordered Frosé's. They were frosty and delish with a nice, lemony twang. I ordered fried mozzarella sticks. They were crispy brown, gooey and sprinkled with shaved mozzarella on top. Tasty. The music was early to mid 00's hip hop and the vibes were just wonderful. On the way out, a very cool young man floated-like literally floated towards us with a cake platter stacked with delicious, house made pastries. Some were sweet and some were savory, a complimentary treat. In my tipsy state, I swiped a pastry that looked like a cheese Danish. It was warm and flaky outside, filled with smooth gouda cheese and topped with thin sliced tomatoes. Those baked goodies were an unexpected treat. Meckelburg's was a marvelous way to end a night out in Brooklyn. I'll be going back for sure.

Mimosa and nachos

My sister and I stopped here for a light snack and beverage break. It was a place she frequented and thought I'd like it... and she was right. I LOVED this cute spot! It has a menu that has a little something for everyone but isn't so massive that it's overwhelming. We shared a plate of beef chili nachos and two mimosas. The mimosas were huge and I'm pretty sure the juice was fresh squeezed. It paired beautifully with the massive plate of nachos. This was quite the heavy snack but I wasn't mad at it. Our server was great and was always around when we needed anything. I really wish I was a local cuz I could definitely see myself coming back here many times. 10/10 would recommend just for the booze and nachos alone!

Stumbled upon this restaurant before we went to a brewery to have brunch. The menu is expansive and has all sorts of dishes. I got the Classic along with a matzah ball soup. Their fried chicken biscuits and gravy was tasty too but just a lot to finish. My pup was able to join us which was nice.

It ended up being a nice spot for a casual catch-up, though with a few mixed impressions. The space itself is cute and very much feels like a neighborhood bar. One of the things we liked most was that they have games available--we ended up playing Scrabble while waiting for our friend to arrive, which made the time go by quickly and added to the relaxed vibe. Happy hour prices are solid, and the fried pickles we shared were decent. I also had a watermelon cocktail that was refreshing and perfectly fine, if not particularly memorable. Service was a bit inconsistent. The bartender wasn't very warm or welcoming to us initially, though that changed once our friend--who is a regular--arrived. Overall, it's a comfortable spot to meet friends and hang out for a few hours, especially on a weekday like Thursday. That said, I probably wouldn't go out of my way to return, but I can see why it works well as a local neighborhood hang.

After a nice stop and a secret garden in west Greenwich, I decided to use the points I had racked up and suggested a beverage at the Spaniard. It was agreed upon, in part as i suggested "they probably have a nice bathroom". Of which they did. It helped they had a nice house drink menu too. My gal found something she would like, and she did. After a fun drink off their menu I got a scotch. Old Putney 12 year. Actually the bartender came up and said they were out, would I want a 18 year or 20 year, something like that. it was a bit more money but it was he last beverage of the weekend trip so I got it. My Lourd it was good. If we had time I would have gotten an Oban they had, but we were off. But we will be back, maybe this year. And if I have racked up enough points in the area, I will suggest this excellent whisky bar.

The chicken cutlet and chicken dumplings were fine but I probably wouldn't order them again. The wait staff weren't super attentive nor super warm, but they were efficient when we asked for water refills, etc. There was ample standing room at the bar while we waited for our friends, but the table/booth that we sat at was super narrow, I was knocking knees with my friend all night and generally felt squished.

Operating as two separate entities, with separate drink menus and some shared food items, both Sip and Guzzle lived up to the hype!! GUZZLE This is the restaurant component with more casual drinks and creative dishes. For two people, they recommend about 6 dishes. I was so sad that the Tavern Burger already sold but I guess it means I have to come back! -Started off with the tasty volcano roll. Combing spicy tuna, coconut sticky rice, and candied, crunchy seaweed roll, it had a nice textural contrast amongst the spice, umami, and sweet flavor profiles. -The pork yaki featured super tender and well seasoned meat skewer with a candied outer layer in addition to the fun cotton candy! -The mochi french fry was FIRE! Its chewy and crunchy at the same time and be sure to pair it with the addicting gochujang-based sauce that is garlic-y and honey-y with a nice spice kick. -The bikini was perf for cheese lovers like me and especially if you like jamon and truffle to make it even more umami. Just make sure you get a good well-balanced bite! -The electric chicken was juicy, tender, crunchy, crispy, and well seasoned! Its less spicy and salty compared to that of Pecking House but still delicious! Plus you get to cut it with fun scissors! -The cabbage was good with a creamy, tangy white sesame sauce, but can skip next time -The chicken chips and salsa was interesting with their chicharron-inspired chicken chips. The salsa had 3 layers of mango, avocado, and jalapeño with a salted foam. -The Hokkaido milk soft serve was super smooth and milky - exactly how I envisioned what I want my milk ice cream to taste like! -Drinks: The lychee martini was amazing for people who like floral/sweet drinks. The wagyu old fashion was very peanut- and whiskey-forward. I find myself too guilty to drink the soup after hotpot or ramen because its often too greasy. Fear not because this clarified drink packages similar flavors into an easily enjoyable alcoholic drink!! Its umami and spicy with just the right amount of peppercorn oil. The strawberry is just present enough to balance out the savoriness, and not too fruity nor sweet at all! Its also cutely served at tableside with a big teapot. -Satsuma Creamsicle: A multilayer drink that was so fun to drink because each sip at a specific angle allows you get a little bit of the tangy and creamy foam, as well as the sweet and cream soda-like drink. -Plantain Colada: A banana/plantain prominent drink with some coconut vibes and bites. -Negroni in the Shade: A refreshing drink with just the right amount of grape flavors.
